قمیص کی سنت کے بارے میں حضرت عباس ؓ سے بھی ایک روایت نقل ہے جس میں وہ آپ ﷺ کی قمیص مبارک کی لمبائی کا ذکر کرتے ہیں ۔ فرماتے ہیں کہ آپ کے کُرتے کی جو لمبائی تھی وہ زیادہ نہیں ہوتی ۔ زیادہ سے زیادہ ٹخنوں تک بلکہ ہمیشہ ٹخنوں سے اوپر ہوتی تھی۔ یہ لمبائی تھی آپ ﷺ کے کُرتے کی اور جو کُرتے کی آستین تھیں وہ بھی لمبی نہیں ہوتی تھیں۔ روایت ہے کہ آپ کے کُرتے کی آستین نہ لمبی ہوتی تھیں نہ بہت تنگ تھیں نہ بہت کشادہ بلکہ درمیانی تھیں یعنی آستین کی جو چوڑائی تھی وہ زیادہ تنگ بھی نہیں تھی اور بہت کھلی بھی نہیں تھی بلکہ درمیانی درجے کی چوڑائی تھی۔ آستین کی لمبائی ہاتھ کے گھٹے تک آتی تھی یعنی کہ کلائی تک۔اتنی لمبی نہیں ہوتی تھی کہ اُس سے انگلیاں بھی ڈھک جائیں۔ آستین کی لمبائی کلائی تک ہوتی تھی اور اُن سے انگلیاں نہیں ڈھکتی تھیں۔ یہ آپ ﷺ کی قمیص کی ایک اور سنت تھی کہ لمبائی اور آستین کی بناوٹ کس قسم کی تھی۔ اللہ پاک ہمیں نبی کریم ﷺ کی ہر ادا پر عمل کرنے کی توفیق نصیب فرمائے۔ آمین

Regarding the Sunnah of the Qamees (Kurta) there is also one narration from Hadhrat Abbas radhiallah anhu, in which he mentions the length of the blessed qamees of Rasoolullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. He states that its length was not too long. At the most it would reach the ankles, in fact it would always hang above the ankles.
It is also related that the sleeves of his blessed Kurta were not too long, not too tight and not too loose. They were of a medium span so that when it was worn they had a perfect fit i.e. not tight and not too loose. The length of the sleeves was such that they reached the wrists and were never so long that they would cover the fingers.
This was another Sunnah of the blessed Qamees of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam that informs us of the length and description of the sleeves of the Kurta of the Messenger sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. I pray that Allah subhana wa ta’ala grants us the taufeeq to follow every Sunnah of the blessed Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. Ameen.
