Sheikh Abd-ur-Ra’oof Al Manaadi rahmatullah alayhi states, “It is the Sunnah to wear an Amaamah especially for Salaah, and it is also the Sunnah to wear it to enhance one’s appearance.” (Jama-ul-Wasaa’il-The Greatness of the Amaamah)
عمامہ باندھنا سنتِ نبوی ﷺ ہے۔ مفتی کفایت اللہ۔ عمامہ کی عظمت
It is the Sunnah of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam to wear the Amaamah. (Mufti Kifayatullah-The Greatness of the Amaamah)
حافظ ابن عساکرؒ نے اپنی تاریخ میں حضرت امام مالکؒ سے نقل کیا ہے کہ عمامہ کی سنت کو چھوڑنا مناسب نہیں ہے میں نے عمامہ باندھنا اس وقت شروع کیا جب میرے چہرے پر داڑھی کے بال بھی نہیں تھے اور ہم میں سے کوئی مسجد میں یعنی مسجد نبویؐ شریفہ میں بغیر عمامہ کے داخل نہیں ہوتا تھا۔
Hafidh Ibn Asaakir rahmatullah alayhi in his Tareekh (history book), quotes Hadhrat Imam Malik rahmatullah alayhi who said, “It is not appropriate to neglect the Sunnah of wearing the Amaamah. I started wearing an Amaamah at an age when I had no beard hair growing on my face and none of us would enter the Masjid (meaning Masjid-e-Nabawi shareef) without an Amaamah on our heads.
اللہ سبحانہ و تعالیٰ نبی پاک ﷺ کی اس عظیم سنت پر امت کو عمل کرنے کی توفیق نصیب فرمائے
I pray that Allah subahana wa ta’ala grants this Ummah the taufeeq to have amal upon this great Sunnah of the blessed Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.
