ناخن شریف کی سنتیں
The Sunnahs of the Blessed Nails
حضور اکرم ﷺ کا معمول تھا بعض روایات کے مطابق جمعہ کے دن اور بعض روایات میں جمعرات کے دن ناخن ہائے مبارک ترشواتے تھے۔
According to some narrations, it was the habit of the merciful Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam to trim his nails on a Friday, and according to some other narrations on a Thursday.
ناخن کٹوانے میں آپ ﷺ کی ایسی ترتیب تھی کہ پہلے سیدھا ہاتھ شہادت کی انگلی پھر بیچ کی انگلی پھر اس کے برابر والی انگلی پھر چھوٹی انگلی۔ الٹے ہاتھ میں پہلے چھوٹی انگلی پھر اس کے برابر والی انگلی پھر بیچ کی انگلی پھر اس کے برابر والی انگلی پھر انگوٹھا پھر سیدھے ہاتھ کا انگوٹھا۔
The order in which the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam cut his nails was such that he would start with the index-finger of the right hand, then the middle-finger, then the ring-finger and then the little-finger. Then on to the left hand, the little-finger first, then the ring-finger, then the middle-finger, then the index-finger, then the thumb and then finally the thumb of the right hand.
پاؤں مبارک کے ناخن کاٹنے میں آپ ﷺ حسب ذیل ترتیب فرماتے تھے: سیدھا پاؤں ، چھوٹی انگلی سے شروع فرماتے اور بالترتیب انگوٹھے تک ختم فرماتے تھے۔ الٹا پاؤں، الٹے انگوٹھے سے شروع فرماتے اور پھر بالترتیب چھوٹی انگلی تک ختم فرماتے تھے۔ شمائل نبویؐ
The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam would trim the nails on his blessed feet in the following way: Right foot first; starting with the small toe, he would cut the nails of all the toes one by one from right to left finishing with the big toe. Then the left foot; starting with the big toe, he would cut the nails of all the toes one by one from right to left finishing with the small toe. (Shamaa’il-e-Nabawi)
آپ ﷺ پندرہویں دن ناخن کاٹتے تھے۔ شمائل نبویؐ
The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam would cut his nails within a fortnight. (Shamaa’il-e-Nabawi)
اللہ سبحانہ و تعالٰی ہمیں نبی پاک ﷺ کی پیاری پیاری سنتوں پہ عمل کرنے کی توفیق نصیب فرمائے۔
I pray to Allah subhana wa ta’ala to grant us the taufeeq to have amal upon the beautiful Sunnah of the Blessed Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.
