نحمدہ و نصلی علیٰ رسولہ الکریم ، اما بعد
دعا کرنے کی سنتیں
Sunnahs of Dua
روزی کا حلال ہونا۔
To have halaal earnings.
اخلاص کا ہونا ۔
To be sincere.
دعا مانگنے سے پہلے کوئی نیک کام کرنا یعنی صدقہ ، نماز ، تلاوت قرآن اور ذکر ﷲ وغیرہ وغیرہ۔
To do a good deed before making dua, such as giving in charity, praying Salaah, reciting the Qur’an or doing dhikrullah etc.
پاک ہونا ، ہر نجاست سے پاک ہونا۔
To be clean from all impurities.
وضو ہو تو مستحب ہے ۔
It is desirable to be in a state of wudhu.
قبلہ کی طرف رخ کرنا مستحب ہے۔
It is preferable to be facing the qiblah.
دعا سے پہلے نماز حاجت پڑھنا بھی مستحب ہے۔
It is desirable to pray Salaat-ul-Haajat before making dua.
دعا مانگنے کے لیے دو زانو بیٹھنا بھی مستحب ہے۔
It is preferable to sit in the ‘do zaanoo’ position (similar to the seated position like during Salaah when reciting attahayyaat).
دعا مانگنے سے پہلے اور بعد میں ﷲ تعالٰی کی حمد و ثنا کرنا بھی مستحب ہے۔
To praise and glorify Allah before and after dua is mustahab.
دعا کے اوّل و آخر میں نبی کریم ﷺ پر درود شریف بھیجنا مستحب ہے۔
It is mustahab to recite durood shareef upon the Blessed Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam at the beginning and at the end of the dua.
دونوں ہاتھ پھیلا کر دعا مانگنا مستحب ہے۔
It is desirable to spread both hands to make dua.
سائل کی طرح دونوں ہاتھ اوپر اٹھانا مستحب ہے۔
It is preferable to raise both hands like a beggar during dua.
دونوں ہاتھوں کو مونڈھوں تک اٹھانا مستحب ہے۔
It is desirable to raise both hands, so they are level with the shoulders.
دونوں ہاتھوں کو کھلا رکھنا مستحب ہے۔
To have both hands open is preferable
دعا مانگنے کے وقت عاجزی و انکساری اختیار کرنا مستحب ہے۔
At the time of making dua it is desirable to adopt modesty and humility.
دعا کے وقت گڑگڑانا ۔
Beseech and implore during dua.
دعا مانگنے کے وقت آسمان کی جانب نگاہ نہ اٹھانا۔ مکروہ۔
To look up at the sky during dua is makrooh.
ﷲﷻ کے اسماء حسنٰی اور اعلٰی صفات کا واسطہ دے کر دعا مانگنا مستحب ہے۔
To implore by mentioning the beautiful attributes of Allah subhana wa ta’ala during dua is preferable.
انبیاء علیہم السلام کے وسیلے سے دعا مانگنا مستحب ہے۔
It is desirable to make dua with the waseelah of the Prophets alayhim-us-salaam.
ﷲ کے نیک بندوں کےوسیلے سے دعا مانگنا مستحب ہے۔
It is mustahab to make dua with the waseelah of the pious servants of Allah.
آواز میں پستی اختیار کرنا مستحب ہے۔
It is preferable to have humility in your voice .
دعا کے وقت اپنے گناہوں کا اقرار کرنا بھی مستحب ہے۔
It is desirable to acknowledge your sins when making dua.
آپ ﷺ کی بتائی ہوئی دعاؤں کو مانگنا مستحب ہے۔
It is mustahab to make those duas that were taught by the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.
اپنی ذات سے دعا شروع کرنا پھر اپنے ماں باپ تمام مومن بھائیوں کے لیے دعا کرنا مستحب ہے۔
It is preferable to start by praying for yourself, then your parents and the rest of the believers.
پورے یقین کے ساتھ اور قطعی طور پر دعا مانگنا کے ﷲ تعالٰی دعا یقیناً قبول فرمائیں گے مستحب ہے۔
It is mustahab to make dua with total yaqeen and conviction and with the thought in mind that Allah ta’ala will certainly accept my dua.
انتہائی توجہ رغبت اور شوق کے ساتھ دعا مانگنا مستحب ہے۔
It is mustahab to make dua with complete focus, passion and zeal.
ایک ہی مقصد کے لیے بار بار مانگنا مستحب ہے۔
It is mustahab to repeatedly make dua for the same purpose.
کم سے کم تین دفع ایک دعا کا مانگنا مستحب ہے۔
It is mustahab to make the same dua at least three times.
اپنی تمام حاجات، چھوٹی ہوں یا بڑی، تمام ﷲ سے مانگنا مستحب ہے۔
Whether big or small, it is desirable to ask Allah to fufil your every need.
دعا کے بعد آمین کہنا مستحب ہے۔
It is mustahab to say ‘Ameen’ after dua.
دعا سے فارغ ہو کر دونو ہاتھوں کو منہ پر پھیرنا مستحب ہے۔
It is mustahab to wipe the face with both hands at the end of the dua.
دعا کی قبولیت میں جلد بازی نہ کرنا اور 'میری دعا قبول ہی نہیں ہوئی' نہ کہنا شرط ہے
After making dua, do not look for instant results. As it is a condition to not say things such as, “My dua has not been accepted.”
ﷲ سبحانہ و تعالٰی ہمیں نبی کریم ﷺ کی تمام پیاری پیاری سنتوں پہ عمل کرنے کی توفیق نصیب فرمائے۔ آمین
I pray to Allah subhana wa ta’ala to grant us the taufeeq to have amal upon the beautiful Sunnah of the Blessed Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. Ameen.

دعا کرنے کی سنتیں
Sunnahs of Dua
روزی کا حلال ہونا۔
To have halaal earnings.
