I will present to you another Hadeeth regarding the blessed tehmad of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. It was the blessed habit of Allah’s Messenger sallallahu alayhi wa sallam that he would let his tehmad shareef hang half way down his blessed shins. The front side of the tehmad shareef would hang a little bit lower than the rear which would be slightly higher.
The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam stated that the lungi (tehmad/izaar) of the Muslims should hang between the middle of the shins and the ankles. It is a sin to let any lower garment hang below the ankles. Hence the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam guided us to wear the izaar(lower garment/lungi shareef) in such a way that it hangs at any position between the ankles and the middle of the shins, and this is his blessed Sunnah.
I pray that Allah subhana wa ta’ala grants us all the taufeeq to have amal upon the Sunnahs of the blessed Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.

تہمد شریف کی سنت کے بارے میں حدیث پیش کی جا رہی ہے۔ آپ ﷺ کی یہ عادت شریفہ تھی کہ آپ تہمد شریف ہمیشہ نصف پنڈلی تک رکھتے تھے۔
تہمد شریف کا اگلا حصہ جو ہوتا تھا پچھلے حصے کی بنسبت ذرا نیچا ہوتا تھا ۔
آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا کہ مسلمانوں کی لنگی یعنی تہمد شریف آدھی پنڈلی سے لے کر نیچے ٹخنوں تک ہونی چاہیے۔ کسی بھی کپڑے کو ٹخنوں سے نیچے لٹکانا تو گناہ ہے ۔ تو اس کی جو حد نبی کریم ﷺ نے بنائی ہے جو آپ کی سنت شریفہ ہے یہ ہے کہ نصف پنڈلی اور ٹخنوں کے درمیان کی لمبائی ہونی چاہیے۔
اللہ پاک ہم سب کو نبی پاک ﷺ کی سنتوں پر عمل کرنے کی توفیق نصیب فرمائے۔
