Alhamdulillah another great night has arrived- the night of power.
This is the final laylatul QADR of Ramadan , the final gift of Ramadan that Allah is granting us.
We should be grateful to Allah that Allah has given us this final night and put it in our destiny.
The reality is that if we pay attention, then that's how simple the matter is.
Consider a beautiful mango tree which is on the road and it is not difficult to reach. The branches are so low that even a child walking by can grab that fruit and break it off with ease.
I gave the example of mango because
mangoes are loved by all. I've seen very few people who say they don't like mangoes.
We learn 3 things here:
1) The fruit is loved by all
2) There's no difficulty to attain it. With ease one can reach the tree.
3) The branches are low-hanging and it's bowing over the path.
So it's impossible to have something easy to attain and one doesnt take benefit from it. Even if one's stomach is full, he will take this fruit as he is walking by as it's so easy to attain.
To worship on this night means a person will be rewarded more than 1000 months of worship.
The person who loses out from this night, loses out on all the goodness.
That individual is actually a loser. Allah has made it so easy for the human to enter paradise and to earn good deeds.
Despite having this night it's like a person passes by the mango tree and doesn't consume the fruit.
Without eating the mango, he passes by. People would say "you passed by such a beneficial place but you didn't want the fruit!?"
In the same way Allah has given us an opportunity and there is no guarantee about life. We should benefit from these nights because Allah has put every ni'mah in this night.
Perhaps we were lazy in the 21st, 23rd and 25th night. Perhaps we were ignorant on the 27th night, but let's not waste this opportunity. Let's not waste this night!
We have been given this month to attain taqwa. The first quality of taqwa is that the Muttaqi do not waste any time at all. They never waste the opportunities and ni'mah Allah has given them.
We must ask Allah for true sincere forgiveness.
Allah's doors of forgiveness are open. In normal days, Allah t'ala is so forgiving towards the sinners! (So imagine today)
A person who repents becomes dear to Allah. Allah has created the means of forgiving so imagine how much he likes the people who do taubah!
We were given these odd nights for repentance. If we repent then this night will become greater than 1000 months for us.
We should appreciate this night and attain the true objective which Allah has placed in this night.
When the Muttaqi recieve a chance to seek repentance, they immediately turn to Alalh and repent. They repent immediately over small small mistakes. This is what Ramadan teaches us.
Tonight We must analyse how much taqwa has developed within us. To test ourselves, let's raise our hands for taubah. And if we do sincere taubah tonight, then consider that all the signs of Muttaqi has come into that person.
Never be afraid of taubah. Nafs and shaytan inject whispers in our mind when we go to do taubah.
The first waswasa that shaytan and nafs gives us it that we wont be steadfast on taubah and how will we save ourself from sin.
Allah says, I favour the muhsinin and I'm with them. When shaytan and nafs attack, Allah's assistance comes to them so with this aim, Allah instructs us to repent and He will be the one to save us from the sins. Yes minor sins are committed and Allah says repent again. Allah will totally arrange for our protection. Allah will save such a person from sin.
So we must pray tonight that Allah does not let this valuable night go to waste.
May He allow us to benefit and may we not be from the losers. We should repent and leave it to Allah.
Those who have repented should repeat their taubah. Maybe their taubah wasn't genuine, so they should repeat it again.
Do not not have conviction in your repentance. Do a new repentance today. Plead with Allah today. We may have the chance to repent to Allah again but will we get another laylatul QADR ?
May Alalh swt grant us the taufeeq to repent to Him, Ameen!
