Allah ta'ala has sent the human in this dunya in such a way that first He adorned the whole universe for the human being according to his needs. He required water, so Allah ta'ala spread out the water across the oceans and seas. The humans require food so Allah gave such vegetables and produce and gave the earth such capacity to provide food. Man required meat so Allah ta'ala created such animals and the objective of those animals was that they'd become edible food for the human. Allah ta'ala sent countless types of fish in the ocean. Many animals Allah ta'ala created who lay eggs and some animals who produce milk for mankind. Allah ta'alaa manufactured a small bee which produces such an edible food which is a cure and it creates so much that no where in the world will you see a lack of honey. Infact you'll find many types!

So if man looks around him there are so many blessings. Why has Allah ta'ala created all of this and provided all these resources?

Have we ever thought of this. For example when we eat meat why did Allah ta'ala create this? Why did he put taste into it? For the human beings!

So we should be wary that when one is bestowed with many blessings, comfort and is looked after well, then he must have a great objective.
Surely man didn't come into this world for meat and chicken. However, man has forgotten and he thinks he came to this world to eat and enjoy.
Imagine how much Allah ta'ala loves the human being!

According to mans desire He has given him climate. According to His need, He has given him different weathers. According to his need, He let the wind blow. He let the sun beam down. He brought the moon out for the needs of the human. Allah gives us so much to fulfil our needs so imagine how much He loves the human. There is one reason for this, which is the objective and duty Allah ta'ala has given us. But due to negligence of the world and our nafs we have become lazy and distant. we have a veil between us and our mission. Hence we depart from this world in a very bad state

Ramadan has come to revive that feeling and remind us of our objective. If our objective was truly eating and drinking, why would Allah make that haram upon us in Ramadan? If fulfilling our desires with our spouse was our objective, why has Allah forbade that in ramadan?

Allah ta'ala has created an objective for this world which we have forgotten.

Allah has promised to the believers -men and women, - Gardens under which rivers flow to dwell therein forever, and beautiful mansions in Gardens of 'Adn (Eden Paradise). But the greatest bliss is the Good Pleasure of Allah. That is the supreme success.
(At-Tawbah, verse 72)

Regardless of health, distress, happiness, poverty and whatever state confronts us, our objective should always be clear infront of us.
If one is rich, the objective of life should be strong and clear. Likewise, for the one who is sick or poor.

Even if you are happy you must remember that it is Allah ta'ala's pleasure which you need to achieve.
If you are sick, you must tell yourself that due to this illness I must please Allah.
Through these conditions one may get lost in the world and chase the world but Allah is the one who gives and through these fluctuating phases in our life we should always remind ourselves of our objective.
We shouldn't forget Him if we are in poverty and similarly, if we possess alot of wealth.

وَرِضْوَانٌ مِنَ اللَّهِ أَكْبَرُ ۚ

The greatest reward of the hereafter is the pleasure and acceptance of Allah.
Greater than the whole universe and what it contains, is to please Allah. This is our main objective as to why we were sent to this world.
And Allah gives us paradise if we please Him. This is His promise for the one who lives his life according to Allah's pleasure and didnt forget his objective!

Allah ta'ala addresses man - you lived your life according to my pleasure and when I sent you to this world you didn't forget your objective. I gave you assets, I gave you poverty, I gave you health, I gave you honour, I gave you kingdom and you also had challenges come your way, but despite all that, you placed your objective ahead of you and you sought my pleasure. Oh beleiving men and woman, i shall reward you. Despite being rich, you didn't forget me. You still had that desire in your heart and yearning to please me through your wealth. I gave you poverty but you never complained due to it. However, through your poverty, you sought me. So Allah says how can I forget my promise to you? Why shouldn't I fulfil my promise to you. Come to these great gardens l!

"Paradise beneath which rivers flow."

Have you ever seen a garden in the world whereby running water is flowing beneath it? Just imagine, this is the consequence of Allah's pleasure ! Imagine the beauty of Jannah!
I swear by Allah if you take the most beautiful scene in this world and place it on one side but the beauty of those gardens beneath which Allahs sparkling Allah's beautiful rivers will flow, can never come close to it!

خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا
To abide therein forever!

وَمَسَاكِنَ طَيِّبَةً
Pure dwellings.
The houses in Jannah are pure. A great dwelling. A garden of perpetual bliss! No mortgage or rent to pay on it.

Look at us today, we taste a little calamity and we swear to Allah. Astaghfirullah. We complain and say bad against salaah.

Allah ta'ala has given us countless physical and spiritual blessings. And Allah ta'ala gives us so much reward in the akhirah because we will have earnt His pleasure. This is permanent pleasure!

In Jannah, Allah ta'ala will call out, "Oh people of paradise!" They will say "labbayk oh Allah instruct us." Allah ta'ala will say are you happy? Was my promise fulfilled? And they will say, "oh Allah how can we not be happy with you? Is there anything you have not given to us, we merely desire something and we attain it!." Allah ta'ala will reply, "Oh people of paradise you are those people who pleased Me so come there is a greater thing I am about to give to you." And they will say "what can be greater than this? We are not lacking in anything!" Allah ta'ala will say "oh people of paradise I send my permanent pleasure and acceptance to you and i shall never be displeased with you ever again." When the people of Jannah will hear this, they will rejoice happily. Allah ta'ala says, " I announce that your lord Is happy with you!"

This announcement will come in Jannah but Allah ta'ala has also rehearsed this in the dunya with his creation. Allah announces this in the world too, yes!

The call he will give in Jannah, this same call Allah is announcing to the believing men and women so they can become grateful to Allah for having being given Ramadan. Allah ta'ala may give us paradise in the form of fasting! Ramadan is one example of paradise infront of us and we are enjoying a little of it. But how ? Because Ramadan has been created for the nation whom Allah will address in paradise - that I am happy with you and that nation are the Muttaqi in this world!!
Moreover, besides a Muttaqi, no other will enter paradise!

These people are jannati and will hear Allah ta'ala in paradise. This may be attained through ramadan as Allah ta'ala has instilled the qualities of taqwa through Ramadan.
Such a great status one receives through taqwa!

If we begin the fast and our objective is not to please Allah, then the fast isn't a fast. It's just hunger. The first objective which arises for a human is to please Allah through this fast and not to displease Him.

Every moment we should fear displeasing Allah. It is this feeling and awareness which is defined as taqwa and Allah's happiness and fasting generates this!

Even a sinner would not break his fast after keeping it. He may be conscious of the actual fast instead of Allah, but In REALITY, he doesnt want to displease Allah. He may be using the front of the fast but He is actually striving to please Allah by not doing that which constitutes His displeasure (ie.- breaking fast). So much caution comes into him that he refrains from sinning. The fast is what develops this caution.
So in the same way the believer should adopt this caution even after Ramadan.

The basis of each of his actions is to avoid Allah's displeasure and he will embrace difficulties but he wll not displease Allah through it.

If we all adopted this there would be no disputes at home because we would all be afraid to displease Allah and we would have sabr and endure.

Just like that fast that contains no pleasure of Allah is broken and wasted, the moments of your life without Allah's pleasure is also wasted.

The foundation of the fast is Allah's pleasure so when you fast tomorrow make an intention that you will observe the lessons of the fast throughout your entire life too.
May Alalh ta'ala grant us the taufeeq.
