Jewels of Ramadhan 2026- Episode 34

Many people have left their homes with sincerity and travelled long distances purely to attend the gatherings of Dhikr in the company of the Sheikh. They have come only for the remembrance of Allah, driven by their deep passion and love. Such people are beloved to Allah ta'ala, and the angels protect these travellers who journey on the path of Allah ta'ala.

Allah ta'ala does not look at their sins, rather, He values their effort and forgives them. What a great reward this is!

We should always remain prepared for death, as we may depart from this world at any moment. The best person is the one who leaves this world having attained the pleasure and forgiveness of Allah ta'ala

Allah ta'ala conveys many messages to us through the Quran. The incidents of previous nations are mentioned throughout it as lessons. Many people, despite being given opportunities by Allah ta'ala to reform themselves, chose not to obey Him, and as a result they were punished.

Whenever we witness calamities and tragedies around the world, we should reflect and consider that they are due to our own shortcomings and that Allah ta'ala is displeased with us. The only way we can be saved is by sincerely repenting for our sins. Nations that become arrogant, persist in their sins, and fail to reflect on their wrongdoing are eventually removed by Allah ta'ala from the face of the earth. Such nations do not remain.

When a person makes effort to make amends, then Allah ta'ala's assistance arrives.

Dhikr is the greatest deed and the most beloved deed to Allah ta'ala. When a person begins remembering Allah ta'ala and he becomes solid and steadfast upon this action, then Allah ta'ala makes him a WaliAllah. The AwliyahAllah reached the heights through performing Dhikr in abundance.

What is the difference between other acts of worship and Dhikr?

When performing general acts of worship, we have no guarantee that they will be accepted by Allah ta'ala. We may worship Him, yet at the same time we fall into sin, so there is no certainty that our deeds will be accepted. Often our actions lack true sincerity. Out of His great mercy and grace, however, Allah ta'ala has granted us an act that is always accepted by Him and that is the act of Dhikr.

Dhikr is such an action that it can be performed in any circumstance. Whether a person is tired, without the state of wudu, or even feeling lazy or lacking full presence, the act of remembering Allah ta'ala is still accepted. In whatever state or condition a person performs Dhikr, even if it is to show off, Allah ta'ala accepts it. This shows how great and immense this deed truly is.
At the time of death, it is Dhikr which will be of assistance to us in the Hereafter, for it accompanies a person through all phases of life.

Even in Paradise, a person will regret the moments he spent in this world without remembering Allah ta'ala, for he could have attained a higher rank in Paradise through that remembrance.

For our own benefit and salvation, we should visit a Sheikh and learn the practice of Dhikr. We should not hesitate in doing so, because Dhikr is a beautiful and beneficial action. It does not prevent a person from carrying out their daily responsibilities or worldly tasks, rather, it can be practiced alongside them.

Through the company of a WaliAllah, a person becomes connected to Allah ta'ala. Therefore, we should seek the guidance of a WaliAllah. As the time of Qiyamah approaches, Allah ta'ala will remove this means through which mankind may attain repentance, love, and nearness to Him, as a consequence of the punishment upon the nation.

If a person is granted the company of a WaliAllah in this time, it is a great glad tidings. He should immediately learn Dhikr from the teacher and implement the advice of the Sheikh. Wherever our heart testifies and recognizes that an individual is a WaliAllah, we should remain in their company. Even if others do not accept it, if our heart feels peace and guidance in the presence of a pious person, we should trust that feeling. Allah ta'ala judges according to our thoughts and intentions - if we consider someone a WaliAllah, Allah ta'ala will make him a WaliAllah for us.

Those who performed the most beloved action to Allah ta'ala - Dhikr, and crushed their desires, will be granted the highest stages in Paradise.

Allah ta'ala grants us these blessed days and opportunities to improve our life as death is approaching us.
Dhikr is not a small or insignificant act. If a person becomes a true Dhakir, seven generations of their family will be guided and forgiven as a result of their Dhikr. Due to the Dhikr of the Dhaakireen, Allah ta'ala removes the punishments and calamities from the believers.

When we begin Dhikr, we start with the Khatam Khawjgan. Not every deputy of a Sheikh is granted permission to lead the Khatam Khawjgan with their students, so we are truly fortunate to have this opportunity.

Khatam refers to a litany or a prescribed collection of special supplications that we recite, asking from Allah ta'ala.

Khawajgan is the plural of Khawajah - Sheikh, which refer to the pious AwliyahAllah. So, when we recite the Khatam Khawjgan, we are reciting the supplications and verses which were granted to the AwliyahAllah.

One cannot perform Khatam Khawjgãn on his own. It must recited in the company of one's Sheikh.

Many of the AwliyahAllah have hearts so pure from abundant Dhikr that, when they recite the Quran, they grasp its meanings deeply, even if they are illiterate or have not studied in a Madrassah. They are able to classify Ahadith and correct others’ recitation of the Quran. The true Darul Uloom is the company of the AwliyahAllah. It is here that a person attains and learns true knowledge.

"Our Lord! Raise from among them a messenger who will recite to them Your revelations, teach them the Book and wisdom, and purify them." [2:129]

It is not necessary for a person to become learned only by attending a Darul Uloom. Rather, the true deputy of the Prophet ﷺ is one who possesses all three: knowledge, understanding of jurisprudence, and the ability and permission to purify the hearts of the believers.

Allah ta'ala inspires these Kalimaat upon the hearts of the AwliyahAllah. We recite these Kalimaat which were granted to them, to attain spiritual blessings.

Khatam Khawjgan is a special gift from the Sheikh for the students who participate in Dhikr. When they recite it, their Imaan is strengthened, and their love for Allah ta'ala increases.

When one partakes in the Khatam Khawjgan, whether online or in person, he should place some water besides him. He should recite every Kalimah seven times with 'Bismillah' and blow on the water. Such a person will be protected from every illness/problem. We may also sprinkle this water in the house as Khatam Khawjgan has great impact.

We should not be lazy, but carry out the Dhikr prescribed by our Sheikh with love. We should frequent the Khankah, honour it, and serve it sincerely. We should love one another and remain obedient to our Sheikh, fulfilling his instructions, for failing to do so would be a sign of ingratitude and bring the punishment of Allah ta'ala. We must always be thankful to Allah ta'ala for all the blessings and treasures He has granted us.

Allah ta'ala guides whomever He wills. We do not criticise other groups or sects, nor do we engage in disputes. Our sole belief is to perform Dhikr. Through Dhikr, we are guided, and our hearts are filled with love for the pious predecessors who remained steadfast on the right path. By following this path, we are protected from deviation and are led to follow the authentic, righteous people who adhered to the Quran and Sunnah.

Whoever sits in Dhikr will have their heart purified. Remain steadfast in Dhikr, and it will guide you along the path of the true, pious predecessors.

We should attach ourselves to the gatherings of Dhikr and remain connected to our Sheikh. It does not matter which sect a person belongs to, everyone should learn and engage in Dhikr. There is no difference of opinion regarding this; a person should perform Dhikr constantly, as emphasised in the Quran.

If you sincerely seek the true path from Allah ta'ala, He will guide you to it. Whoever learns and remembers the name of Allah ta'ala today, I assure you that the blessings of the entire month will be granted to them.

Even if a person isn't perfect, yet he tries according to his capability, then in the Hereafter, Allah ta'ala will appreciate his efforts and admit him into Paradise.

The greatest deed that protects a person from the punishment of the grave is the Dhikr of Allah ta'ala. Those who engage in Dhikr will have a grave filled with light and peace and the angels will come to greet them. They will be granted Paradise without reckoning. This immense reward has been promised to us in the Ahadith.

A person with true faith takes steps to protect themselves from the trials of the Hereafter. Dhikr leads to Paradise, and only those who have Imaan in their hearts will truly believe that they will be granted Paradise because of their devotion and sacrifices for the sake of Dhikr and prayer. The one who is lazy and abandons prayer does not possess true faith.

Let us not live a life of negligence. We should reflect and assess which type of life we are leading. How can we claim to have faith if we neglect the deeds that lead to Paradise? Ignoring them shows a lack of true belief in the Hereafter.

By engaging in Dhikr, we do not lose out in this world. We will not go hungry, and Allah ta'ala continues to provide for us, often granting even more as a reward for our worldly sacrifices made for the sake of Deen. True sacrifice comes from a heart filled with complete belief in Allah ta'ala.

These are tests of our faith. Wealth comes and goes, and we experience the ups and downs of life. Allah ta'ala tests us to see under what circumstances we may disobey Him and how steadfast we remain in His obedience.

We should strive to earn the Hereafter by fulfilling all the commands of Allah, regardless of our worldly circumstances, whether poor or rich. We should perform Dhikr with joy and sincere conviction that Allah ta’ala will grant us the rewards.

May Allah ta'ala allow us to implement these precious pearls of wisdom. Ameen
