Jewels of Ramadhan 2026- Episode 30

Allah ta'ala has gathered us for His remembrance and has specially chosen this time for His dhikr. His mercy and special attention descend upon this gathering.

We should not worry about how many people participate in these actions with us, or that the numbers may be small. As the time of Qiyamah approaches, the practice of Deen will decline, people will distance themselves from such beneficial deeds and many will become occupied in the pursuit of the Dunya.

Thus, we should avoid comparing ourselves with others and remove negative thoughts from our minds. We should remember what Allah ta'ala and the Prophet ﷺ have mentioned about the virtue and greatness of these gatherings.

Allah ta'ala has selected a group of special angels to witness the gatherings of Dhikr and has given them a duty to search for the groups of people who are remembering Him upon the earth.

The angels become excited upon finding the Dhikr gatherings and they summon the other angels to join the gathering. Thereafter, the angels gather and join the gathering, filling the earth and the heavens with their presence.

After the gathering ends, the angels return to Allah ta'ala and narrate what they witnessed, although Allah ta'ala already knows. Then, Allah ta'ala becomes proud of the Dhaakireen.

Why is Allah ta'ala proud?
Hadhrat Mulla Ali Qari Rahmatullahi alayh explains that Allah ta‘ala expresses pride over the Dhaakireen, as they overcome their base desires and Shaytan in order to exert themselves in His remembrance.

Three forces stop a person from performing a good deed. His lust, his base desires and Shaytan. When one controls these things, he is able to perform good deeds.

In reality, our Imaan invites us to practice Islam but these three forces seek to prevent us. When we overcome these forces, it becomes easier to practice according to the Shariah and Sunnah. Moreover, one begins to enjoy practicing the Deen and the Sunnah, and as a result, he becomes successful in attaining the objective of life.

Similarly, we must oppose these three forces in order to partake in the daily Dhikr gatherings.

A person remembers the one whom he loves. It is due to our immense love for Allah ta‘ala that we gather to remember Him, even though we may not realise it. Allah ta‘ala becomes a witness to our remembrance and makes us amongst His beloveds.

Allah ta'ala is so Merciful that even those who partake in the Dhikr gathering who had no intention and happened to walk by and he joined, He does not lose out from the reward of this gathering no matter what intention he came for. The person who came without a intention will also be forgiven!

Allah ta‘ala is so Merciful that even if a person joins the Dhikr gathering without any intention - perhaps simply passing by and deciding to join, he does not lose out on the reward of the gathering, regardless of the reason he came. Such a person will also be forgiven.

We should not abandon a single gathering during these last ten days. We should value them as Dhikr is the beloved deed of Allah ta'ala!

The truly wealthy person is the one who participates in gatherings of Dhikr. It is he whom we should envy, not those who have amassed great worldly wealth and possessions. We should seek Allah ta‘ala’s protection from being immersed by the glitter and wealth of this world.

Having great wealth is a tremendous test from Allah ta‘ala and can often even be a form of trial or punishment. Very few people pass this test, while many fail, as wealth can lead a person astray. Therefore, it is not something we should desire. If we crave abundant wealth, it reflects the greed in our heart, and we should protect ourselves against it.

We should be content with what we have and remember that wealth is both a test and a potential punishment. We should be grateful and make good use of what Allah ta‘ala has granted us. The best person is one who lives with satisfaction and peace, just as the Prophet ﷺ advised. Such a person experiences paradise on earth through contentment. This is the way of life we should strive to follow.

We may be the only ones practicing a righteous deed while others have abandoned it. We may even be mocked for following the Sunnah. We should not listen to negative thoughts that discourage us. If we were to follow the practice of the people blindly, the Deen would gradually fade from our lives. Therefore, wherever we are, we must follow the guidance of the Quran and Hadith in all that we do.

The Noble Companions had immense love for the Prophet ﷺ. Whenever a command was given, they would act upon it immediately, without delay or hesitation. They feared being questioned by Allah ta‘ala for delaying the implementation of the Sunnah.

It is a shame that we question the Sunnah so heavily before even attempting to practice it. First, we ask whether it is important or necessary, and then we worry about which category of practice it belongs to, instead of simply following it because it is a Sunnah!

In reality, if Allah ta'ala has commanded us to follow the Prophet ﷺ, then we must follow him wholeheartedly in every way. If we desire the love of Allah ta'ala, we must follow the Prophet ﷺ in order to earn His love.

We have been granted the best of role models to follow. Every aspect of the Prophet ﷺ’s life has been preserved so that we can emulate his ways-how he wore his shoes, how he slept, his personal habits, and his manners with his wives- all of this has been recorded in the Ahadith. Furthermore, the protectors of the Hadith were appointed so that no action of the Prophet ﷺ would remain hidden from the Muslims.

If we desire true success, we must align our lives with the lifestyle of the Prophet ﷺ. Loving the Prophet ﷺ will cause us to accompany him in Paradise. Simply declaring our love with words, tears, or Nasheeds is not enough. This is not a true measure of love, it is merely a mirage.

The true lover of the Prophet ﷺ is the one who loves the Sunnah. He is the one who implements every aspect of the Prophet’s ﷺ lifestyle. We should dedicate our entire lives to following the ways of the Sunnah.

The definition of صراط المستقيم is implementing the Sunnah.

We should measure our faith against the example of the Prophet ﷺ. Only those who valued and lived according to the Sunnah, will be able to answer the questioning of the angels in the grave.

The Prophet ﷺ was a living, walking Quran. His lifestyle was the practical commentary of the Quran, and without following his example, one cannot truly understand it.

The Quran is one, and it serves as guidance for all Muslims. However, the effect it has depends on the intention behind its recitation. If a person recites the Quran with the intention of following and imitating the Prophet ﷺ, it will lead him to guidance. But if someone recites it while neglecting the Prophet’s ﷺ ways, it will lead him to deviation and misguidance. This is why today we see two groups of people.

Why are some Muslims misguided despite reciting the Quran? Because when the Sunnah is abandoned, merely reciting the Quran will not guide a person.

May Allah ta'ala allow us to implement these precious pearls. Ameen
