Jewels of Ramadhan 2026- Episode 25

.believers." [33:43]

Allah ta'ala is Ar-Rahman, Gracious to all Mankind, but he is also Ar-Rahmeen, the Most Merciful. He is particularly Merciful towards the believers and showers His special mercy upon them.

What is a form of Allah ta'ala's mercy?

A form of Allah ta‘ala’s mercy is that He grants believers special deeds, opportunities, and blessed moments - days and nights through which He guides them and raises their ranks.

Allah ta‘ala granted the
believers the blessed month of Ramadan - A month for which the Prophet ﷺ himself prayed. In this special month, a person receives the special mercy and attention of Allah ta‘ala with every passing moment.

The benefit a person gains from this month depends on the level of his faith and understanding.

With every passing moment, a person may attain the nearness of Allah ta'ala and forgiveness for his sins. Even the most sinful people are forgiven during this month. Hellfire is sealed shut during this month, Shayateen are shackled and our desires have been weakened through fasting.

It is through the
mercy of Allah ta'ala that He has ordained fasting and the Taraweeh prayer for us. They are blessings for the believers, not punishments.

After Ramadan, the unique mercy and special atmosphere of this blessed month will come to an end, and the angels who were sent with special duties during Ramadan will depart.

The Shayateen will be released and the gates of Hell will be unlocked. We will once again face the same struggles and challenges as before. The hearts will grow heavy and the eyes will shed tears upon the departure of this month. The mosques that were once full may return to being empty, and many will fall back int
oanted us the opportunity to reach great spiritual heights during this blessed month. Although fasting has been made compulsory, even those who are most sinful feel the desire to fast, including children. During this month, even the hearts of children are transformed, let alone the hearts of sinners. This is a sign of Allah ta'ala’s immense mercy towards the believers.

The blessings of Ramadan allow us to wake up in the night to eat Suhoor at a time when we would normally be asleep and have no desire to eat. A person who views fasting and waking up for Suhoor as a burden is foolish, for partaking in Suhoor carries great blessings and reward.

We should not be negligent towards partaking in Suhoor because it is a great worship. If we are lazy towards any good deed during Ramadan, we will be deprived.

The pious predecessors teach us that before partaking in Suhoor, we should supplicate to Allah ta'ala to accept our fast and grant us the reward kept for partaking in Suhoor.

Every command that Allah ta'ala has ordained upon us is for our own benefit - to help elevate and improve us, and to help us attain His love and pleasure.

"It is He who sends His blessings on you, as (do) His angels, that He may lead you out of darkness into light, for He is ever Merciful to the believers." [33:43]
Every action through which Allah ta'ala addresses the people of Imaan, Allah ta'ala's special mercy is present there.

When Allah ta'ala addresses the common people, He uses the term, "Ar-Rahman", and when He refers to the believers, He uses the term, 'Ar-Raheem' - The Most Merciful.

Ramadan will eventually pass, and its special mercies may come to an end. However, Allah ta'ala has blessed us with a deed that allows us to continue receiving His mercy throughout the entire year.

How unfortunate is that person who disregards the actions connected to Ramadan such as partaking in Suhoor. In reality, these are all opportunities to earn the rewards of Allah ta'ala.

When Allah ta'ala addresses the believers, and a believer responds by sincerely obeying and implementing His commands, Allah ta'ala grants him the seal of approval that he is a person of true faith. Such a person is accepted as a true believer by Allah ta'ala.

With love and gentleness, Allah ta'ala instructs us to remember Him. Through this act, we attain His closeness. If we distance ourselves from it, we will be deprived of its reward.

If we desire to see whether we have attained love for Allah ta'ala, then we should assess whether
it is not necessary. If we truly loved Him, we would perform Dhikr and we would enjoy it just like the AwliyahAllah do.

Through the Dhikr of Allah ta'ala, Allah ta'ala's love is generated, His nearness is attained and the rank of Ihsaan is attained. No waliAllah reached the heights without performing Dhikr. The more Dhikr we perform, the closer we become to Allah ta'ala.

We should not limit dhikr to a specific number of count, but rather engage in it abundantly and without restriction. It is through Allah ta'ala’s mercy that our faith is strengthened through dhikr, as we are granted guidance, protected from deviation, and able to overcome our own desires.

We should have complete belief and conviction in the Quran, that it is the cure to all our problems. It saves a person from depression, anxiety, magic and all other calamities.

In a Hadith, it is mentioned that Allah ta’ala is with a person who remembers Him. When Allah ta'ala accompanies a person, then he will certainly refrain from impurities and sins and he will be protected from all evil including the Shayateen. The Dhaakir immediately adheres to the laws of the Shariah and this is the sign that Allah ta’ala is with him.

Allah ta'ala has even stipulated a preferred time to remember Him! This is the time in which Allah ta'ala's Mercy descends.

Allah ta'ala prefers us to fulfil certain deeds at certain times of the day. If we fulfil them during those moments which have not been preferred by Allah, then those deeds go to a waste.

We must adhere to the rules set by Allah ta'ala and act as He pleases. If a person performs worship as and when he pleases and fails to follow the guidance of Allah ta'ala, he falls into pride. A humble servant should submit to the desire of Allah ta'ala.

For example, if one performs the prayer of Duhr during Fajr time, then his Duhr prayer will go to waste.

After Fajr prayer, we should engage in Dhikr. Allah ta'ala has granted us this special time to remember Him. In return for fulfilling His commands, one receives the reward of one Hajj and Umrah.

Any act worship may be performed, however, Dhikr performed until sunrise is considered most beloved to Allah ta'ala. The same reward cannot be attained after sunrise or at any part of the day.

Imagine the reward of those who have collected many accepted Hajj and Umrah rewards by partaki
ng in the Dhikr gatherings with steadfastness!
Allah ta'ala desires to grant us His mercy which is why He has enabled us to remember Him.

As a reward for performing Dhikr, Allah ta'ala and His angels send mercies upon us.

The angels do not possess any evil inclinations and only possess the love of Allah ta'ala. They are full of good qualities.

What is the mercy of Allah ta'ala?
He protects us from every thing in the world and the angels in the heavens supplicate for our success and forgiveness.

All the wrongdoing we commit, leads us to Hellfire, thus, Allah ta'ala has granted us Dhikr which removes us from the darkness (sins) and leads us to the light - the Deen of Allah ta'ala. Gradually a person improves through his Dhikr.

We should be thankful to Allah ta'ala for granting us such gatherings which purify us and put us in a position of being worthy for Paradise.

We should make it a habit to remain steadfast in attending the morning and evening Dhikr gatherings until it becomes a permanent part of our lives. If we truly have a valid excuse, then it is understandable. However, if laziness or negligence keeps us away without a valid reason, we cannot truly compensate for what we miss. In the Hereafter, we will regret the times we failed to attend.

May Allah ta'ala allow us to implement these precious pearls of wisdom. Ameen
