Jewels of Ramadhan 2026- Episode 1

Allah ta'ala began decorating Paradise from the previous Shawwãl in order to welcome this Ramadan. This is how valuable Ramadan is.

We believe in Paradise without witnessing it and we must work hard in order to attain the reward of Paradise.

Shaytan has been imprisoned during Ramadan, however, the bigger enemy is our own desires within us which we must oppose.

We should be grateful for the treasure of Ramadan. Those who are thankful, are granted an increase in treasures.

Allah ta'ala mentions that the one who spends his Ramadan in an excellent manner, the rest of his year will also be blessed.

We should try our best to spend Ramadan in the correct manner. We should understand the objective of this month and try our best to attain it.

We spent the previous months following our own desires, now we must spend this month of Ramadan according to the pleasure of Allah ta'ala.

Many acts of worship may be performed during this month, however, there are certain actions which are honourable and a source of reward for us.

In a Hadith, Hadhrat Umar رضي الله عنه mentions that if a person is habitual in performing Dhikr during Ramadan, he receives immense forgiveness from Allah ta'ala.

Dhikr is not a difficult act to perform. During this blessed month, we should strive to participate in all gatherings of dhikr that take place. Without a valid excuse, we should not allow ourselves to miss any of these gatherings.

We should also remain steadfast upon the Dhikr prescribed to us by our Sheikh and avoid any laziness in fulfilling it. Consistency and regularity are essential. Those who have not yet learned Dhikr from the Sheikh, should approach him and seek to learn it.

If we are ungrateful towards these blessings, then we face severe punishment by Allah ta'ala. No wealth can save us from the seizure of Allah ta'ala when He is unhappy upon a person who neglects His bounties.

If we show ingratitude toward these blessings, we risk facing severe punishment from Allah ta'ala. No amount of wealth can protect us from the grasp of Allah when He is displeased with a person who neglects His favours and bounties.

We should make a firm resolve to attend the congregation for all five prayers. If we are faced with a hurdle, then this is valid excuse to miss congregation. However, if we are lazy and negligent and do not have a valid excuse, then we will face punishment for our actions, as well as our entire household.

During this blessed month, Allah ta'ala multiplies the reward of a compulsory act by seventy times, and a voluntary act grants the reward equivalent to one compulsory action. Therefore, we must never abandon any compulsory actions.

The Quran is the light of Ramadan. During this blessed month, we should strive to complete at least one full recitation of the Quran, or even two if possible. Allah ta'ala has made this very easy for us.

We also have the opportunity to recite the Quran on our phones when we are outside. Whenever we find spare time, we should recite it. Since we do not have a lunch break during work hours in this month, we should make good use of that time by reciting the Quran.

Some scholars have granted concession that if a person does not have wudu, he can recite Quran without wudu, as long as he does not touch the Quran. It is better to be in the state of wudu when using our phones to recite Quran. Some scholars have further said that, if one does not have the means or opportunity to perform wudu, he may still recite the Quran and touch the phone.

Those who are learning the Quran and find it difficult to complete a full recitation, should not feel discouraged. They should begin reciting with the sincere intention of completing the Quran. In this way, even if they are unable to finish it, they will still be rewarded according to their intention.

It becomes easier to spend our time wisely during Ramadan if we plan a schedule in advance. Entering this month without a plan, makes it difficult to achieve our goals and make the most of this blessed month.

The women at home who are listening to the Dhikr gathering, should keep themselves free from other distractions. They should prepare the iftar in advance and dedicate this time fully to participating in the Dhikr gathering.

In this way, they'll be granted the same reward as those who are physically attending the Dhikr gathering.

This month passes quickly, so we must seize this opportunity while we can. Only if Allah ta'ala grants us another Ramadan, will we have the chance to experience it again.

May Allah ta'ala accept all our worship during this blessed month.
