Dhikr Majlis Manchester

"If We had sent down this Qur’an upon a mountain, you would have seen it humbled and coming apart from fear of Allah. And these examples We present to the people that perhaps they will give thought." [59:21]

Allah ta'ala mentions the power and glory of the Quran. The Quran is such a book that it delivers one to Paradise as it is a book of guidance. Whoever has a connection with this guidance and lives his life according to the Quran, he becomes deserved of Paradise

The greatness of this nation is that Allah ta'ala has created Huffadh amongst us. Allah ta'ala selects the hearts through whom the Quran will be preserved. This is a reward from Allah ta'ala and He does not grant everyone this ability. Through this gift of Hifdh, a persons status increases.

Three things are associated with performing Hifdh. Firstly, the sacrifice and desire of the parents. They encourage their child towards Hifdh and they make much effort to develop the mind-set of the child. Secondly, the effort of the teacher. The more sincere and positive the teacher is, the more the child learns. Thirdly, the effort of the child himself of memorising the Quran. Allah ta'ala will show the status of all three individuals in the Hereafter.

Those parents who developed their children and made sacrifices for them, their rank will be such that Allah ta'ala will grant them crowns of gold.

We should focus upon our children and initiate their life with the book of Allah ta'ala. We should at least try to make our daughters and sons Huffadh if they have the capacity. If they are unable to, then we will still be rewarded for trying. This is the responsibility of the parents and through this effort, the light of the Quran runs through the life of the child.

The teacher worked hard to teach the child. In the Hereafter, the child will continue to recite the Quran and the reward will be delivered to the teacher and the reward will keep increasing. Teachers should keep the intention of teaching to acquire reward in the Hereafter. Through this, a teacher gains two things. It will become easy for him to teach, he will not become angry with the child and he will persevere knowing that he will receive benefit and reward in the Hereafter for the child's recitation.

The Haafidh himself is given more responsibility. The Haafidh must act upon the Quran and understand what is lawful and unlawful and adhere to it. The parents and teachers responsibility is that they should protect the conduct and mannerism of the child. The teacher must correct the attitude of the child alongside teaching him the Quran. This is the responsibility of the teacher.

A Haafidh who understands the lawful and unlawful will gain the intercession of the Quran in the Hereafter. The Quran itself will request Allah ta'ala to grant rewards and bestow the crown from amongst His miracles upon the Haafidh.

It is reported in Ahadith that a Hafidh will have a crown placed upon his head in the Hereafter. Thereafter, Allah ta'ala will announce further promotion for him. The Quran will request for him a garment from amongst Allah ta'ala's miracles and Allah ta'ala Himself will place it upon him. Thereafter, the Quran will intercede for him yet again and request Allah ta'ala to become pleased with this Haafidh. Thereafter, Allah ta'ala will become pleased and the Haafidh will recite and his status will be increased.

Such a Haafidh is given the permission to intercede for ten family members who were destined for Hellfire and bring them to heaven.

We should connect our children to the Quran so that they may be granted rewards. Allah ta'ala also warns those people who have memorised the Quran yet opposed it, as well as their parents, who did not develop their children. Both will be severely punished.

When they will be raised in their graves, their limbs will be scattered and full of disease and they'll be thrown in to Hellfire. This is because they forgot the Quran and they opposed the Quran throughout their lives.

All lifelong the Haafidh must preserve the Quran and make a connection with it. This is why parents must not make their children Huffadh for worldly purposes. Rather, they should develop their children and make effort after they became Haafidh. This is their responsibility because if the Haafidh performs unlawful actions the parents will be also held accountable.

A Haafidh may also pursue worldly education. He may also mingle with good people and attend college, however, the Haafidh must always revise his hifdh otherwise, he will be punished in the Hereafter.

We must preserve and safeguard the Quran by protecting our deen and our heart because the heart is what protects the deen. The heart becomes lazy and negligent hence, we must perform dhikr.

The parents must also protect themselves so that they can educate their children.

A person who performs dhikr, his Quran is strengthened and so is his heart. Dhikr is what takes a person to Paradise and it preserves a person. This is why we must perform it in abundance.

It is essential that the Huffadh must attach themselves to dhikr. Through dhikr the heart is purified and developed and Allah ta'ala places blessings in the Quran which lies in His heart. Allah ta'ala then enables that Quran to be protected in one's heart.

A Haafidh who forgets the Quran and fails to revise it and a Haafidh who acts against the Quran, will be held accountable for his actions.

May Allah ta'ala allow us to implement. Ameen
