All creation of Allah ta'ala remember Him and there is great benefit in this action. Allah ta'ala grants the ability of His dhikr to those whom He loves.
The purpose of living in this temporary world is to remember Allah ta'ala with every passing moment. We should work towards fulfilling the objective of life no matter what circumstances we face.
Nabi ﷺ states that when a person requests for Paradise and seeks refuge from Hellfire three or seven times a day, then Paradise intercedes for such a person and Hellfire requests Allah ta'ala to be distanced from that person. We should make a habit of making this supplication three or seven times after each Fard prayer.
Our duty is to constantly strive to earn Paradise.
إِنَّ الْمُتَّقِينَ فِي جَنَّاتٍ وَنَعِيمٍ
"Surely the God-fearing shall be in Gardens and bliss." [52:17]
Paradise is such a place where one will not face any fear, depression or anxiety. Jannah Naeem is the ninth level of Paradise which Allah ta'ala has kept for us. This Paradise contains a very special water spring which He has kept for the inhabitants of Paradise. To attain this Paradise we must be fearful and cautious of Allah ta'ala. We must become a Muattaqi and exercise restraint.
It is a shame that even the Non Muslims have recognised our rejection and negligence towards the Quran and Sunnah. We prostrate to Allah ta'ala whilst wearing the attire of the non believers. We desire Paradise and speak about the love for the Prophet ﷺ yet, we fail to adhere to the Sunnah in fear of the opinions of others. We are ashamed to imitate his ways.
We must eradicate the hypocrisy in our hearts. We must imitate Nabi ﷺ's entire lifestyle and this is how success is attained. Paradise will be written for such a person who intends to live such a lifestyle, otherwise he is a hypocrite. The one who opposes and reject the Sunnah will have his heart sealed by Allah ta'ala.
A Hafidh who has Taqwa will earn the highest stages in Paradise and his generations will be forgiven. On the other hand, the Hafidh who lives against the Quran will be destined for Hellfire and he earns the curse of the Quran.
To become a Muttaqi is simple and it does not take much hard work. A Muttaqi refers to a person who strives to save himself from sins.
Hadhrat Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه narrated that the Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Allah said, "I have prepared for My righteous slaves (such excellent things) as no eye has ever seen, nor an ear has ever heard nor a human heart can ever think of." [Bukhari Shareef]
The greatest worship is to refrain from sin and this is what earns a person the ninth level of Paradise.
To protect your eyesight from immorality is a great action because all of us, young and old, are faced with evil and corruption in this world.
Dhikr is the greatest action which will save us from the punishment of the grave. We will be questioned for abandoning the dhikr gatherings. We should not waste our good deeds and our knowledge that we have gained by committing sins. Allah ta'ala has granted us the power to protect ourselves from sins, thus, we should utilise this tool of dhikr.
This life is temporary and as soon as we pass away, our loved ones will be quarrelling over our possessions and assets.
We forsake prayer in congregation for the sake of our work, although, this is a test for us. Allah ta'ala has made it possible for us which is why the Fajr prayer has been ordained upon us. If we fail to pray, we will be punished for breaking the order of Allah ta'ala.
"O believers! Be mindful of Allah and let every soul look to what ˹deeds˺ it has sent forth for tomorrow.1 And fear Allah, ˹for˺ certainly Allah is All-Aware of what you do." [59;18]
We focus on accumulating assets of the world. In reality, we should assess what we have sent forth for our graves and what we have prepared for it. In this verse, Allah ta'ala uses the word 'tomorrow' to remind us that death is not far away. It is round the corner.
We should sacrifice our lives and all worldly matters to attend the prayers in congregation because one prayer is more valuable than all the treasures of this world.
If we desire Paradise we must eliminate all sins, external and internal. We must lower our gaze, and if our gaze happens to wander, we must recite Istighfar. We should make this a habit and one day our Istighfar will win over our sin. We should at least make some effort. Allah ta'ala loves such a believer who sins and repents immediately. This is a great opportunity for us to earn for the Hereafter.
We should be cautious of the sin of backbiting, jealousy and pride. The one who backbites is consuming the flesh of his brother. We should stop this sin and make a promise not to repeat it. We should fight with our desires constantly. We should never give up and we should constantly strive against sin through constant repentance.
The method of earning Paradise is to reject the sins and keep shunning them. We should not make excuses and lose hope otherwise we will not be forgiven. If we accept our sins and constantly turn towards Allah ta'ala in forgiveness, we will eventually succeed.
We should not be scared. We should run towards Allah ta'ala's mercy and we should repent.
We are unable to eradicate our internal sins without visiting a Wali Allah and accepting him as our guide. We must sit in his company if we wish to improve ourselves and eradicate sins. This is the formula which Allah ta'ala has stipulated to remove ourselves from the darkness, otherwise, we are unable to earn Paradise alone.
Allah ta'ala has placed great impact in the blessed sight and words of the waliAllah. Thus, in his company the sins of a person are burnt from the root.
We must utilise the resource and weapon to fight Shaytan and that is attained through performing dhikr in abundance.
