Nabi ﷺ stated that those who pray Fajr in congregation and then becomes occupied in the dhikr of Allah ta'ala and refrains from worldly affairs, Allah ta'ala forgives all of his sins even if they are equivalent to the foam on the surface of the sea. We should make this action a habit inside and outside of Ramadan.
A person is required to crush his desires a little in order to receive a great reward from Allah ta'ala.
We should attain those segments of the day in which Allah ta'ala has placed reward. We should fight with our desires for the sake of the Hereafter. Only if we make effort, we receive the mercy of Allah ta'ala and He enables us to progress.
We should never forget Allah ta'ala no matter what situation we face in life. One breath of life is extremely valuable for a believer. For example, if a person utilises his breath to recite the Kalimah at the time of his death, he is admitted to Paradise. We should not waste our breath and every breath should be working towards our benefit.
The method is to make our hearts alive towards the remembrance of Allah ta'ala. If our heart is beating, we are able to breathe so the function of breathing depends upon the heart. This is why Allah ta'ala instructs us to perform the dhikr of the heart. Allah ta'ala has made the heart for this purpose.
The heart pumps out every drop of blood. It should recite the name of Allah ta'ala with every beat. In this way, every drop of blood will grant light to the entire body. We should be habitual upon this.
If we wish to strive for Paradise, we should perform Muraqabah every morning and evening for five or ten minutes or as much as we are able to. We should be regular upon this and learn this dhikr from the Sheikh.
Performing Muraqabah in the morning is a way to charge our hearts. Thereafter, we may occupy ourselves with our worldly tasks and the heart will perform its work alongside. It will not disturb our worldly work and our professions. The heart requires another charge in the evening when it becomes weak otherwise, Shaytan takes over and encourages a person to succumb to evil temptations. This is why we must charge our heart again in the evenings through Muraqabah. In this way, even during our sleep we will be included amongst those who remember Allah ta'ala. The angels will protect such a person from all evil.
Allah ta’ala desires to save us from Hellfire through this action. We should take hold of this action otherwise, we will regret it in the Hereafter.
We should repent and perform righteous deeds. We should pray five times a day, fulfil the five pillars of Islam and rectify ourselves. We should learn dhikr in order to protect our faith and to protect us from Shaytan and desires We should perform these actions and we will attain Paradise in the process!
