Bayan Episode 38 - The Last Asharah in Bradford

Muraqabah refers to thinking or contemplating. In Ahadith, it mentions that if a person ponders for a moment, he will gain the reward of more than seventy years worth of worship. It is a great deed as a person focuses his attention upon Allah ta'ala. He becomes accustomed to this habit.

Our honourable Mashaikh would perform Muraqabah from Isha to Fajr prayer. Some people feel uneasy performing Muraqabah. They do not enjoy it although it is the best method of dhikr - pondering over Allah ta'ala through His personal name. Through Muraqabah, all spiritual diseases like the love of the world are eliminated.

We should learn Muraqabah from a WaliAllah and then perform it morning and evening. It grants a person benefit in this world and the Hereafter.

Nabi ﷺ stated that if one desires to see who has the goodness of this world and the Hereafter, he should look towards four things and one of those things mentioned were, a person who is always occupied in the dhikr of Allah ta'ala.

Such a person will be granted peace and contentment in the heart. This will be the biggest reward for the dhaakir in both worlds. This world is a place of hard work. We should make dhikr a habit. This is only for our own good and benefit.

All creation of Allah ta'ala perform dhikr. We should understand its importance without seeking proof and references. If we do not feel peace and contentment upon this path and we experience negative thoughts and doubts, we will never be granted benefit from it.

The one who is at peace, doesn't have any doubts and is grateful towards Allah ta'ala, will be granted benefit. Upon this path, we should not keep questioning otherwise, we will only see defects. We should eliminate evil thoughts and adhere to what we should be doing. We should make our hearts at peace that we have arrived to the right place.

Our pious predecessors state that we should have complete certainty. The more our faith is strong, the more complete we will become and the stronger we will become. A person who has doubts, possesses the sickness of hypocrisy and he will continue to have doubts even in Allah ta'ala. We should know that there is something lacking within us if we are not receiving the blessings.

The biggest miracle today is witnessing someone who is steadfast upon dhikr. We should stick to the path of Sunnah and dhikr with conviction and steadfastness and eventually we will receive results. However, we should not make complaints.
When you have love for Allah ta'ala, He will take the work of the deen from you. This Khankah was built upon love for the Sheikh. If you don't have love, you cannot travel upon this path. Love takes a person to heights. Those who possess love, do not harbor doubts or obstacles. They implement big work of the silsilah.

We should remain travelling upon this path and spread this silsilah. If we make a mistake, we should repent and we should remain steadfast upon the deen.

If Allah ta’ala grants you the responsibility for something, you should value it. If you've been given a responsibility of the Khankah, then trust your Sheikh and do not cause him pain. You have been given responsibility so that you can serve the people who attend the Khankah. Populate the Khankah. Do not be arrogant, rather, be humble as those who attend the Khankah are guests of your Sheikh.

We should make Mashwarah - consultation, with the Jamat before making decisions. We should note the opinion of the majority and then, take the final mashwara from our Sheikh. This is the method to be adopted regarding the Khankah.

Remember that you're being watched, so be careful of what you do. You'll be accounted over your responsibility of the Khankah. Fulfil it properly and if you can't perform it, then step back and allow others to replace you who are capable. Do not stay put as this Khankah does not belong to you. If you are serving the Khankah, you're not doing a favour to anyone. Rather, you are earning your own Paradise.

The one who serves will have a high status in Paradise, so you must have patience and endure. You should not be big headed. These are the Aadaab of the Khankah. Whatever service you can perform, perform it yourself. Avoid announcing it to anyone. Clean the Khankah, clean the carpets, clean the building. Make a joint decision of what needs to be done. Don't decide yourself, consult with your Jamaat and you should hold a meeting once a week. The Sheikh can make the final decision. Act with the fear of Allah ta'ala. In doing so, it will become worship for you.

Tomorrow in Manchester Khankah, you should arrive with respect as it is a blessed Khankah and you should not argue with anyone. Accept wherever you are seated and be grateful. Remain silent and do not be loud. Do not perform Tasbih there, only Muraqabah.

May Allah ta'ala allow us to implement. Ameen
