Jewels of Ramadhan 2025 - Episode 4

A farmer works hard to cultivate the land. He prepares the soil, sows the seed and then he protects the land. Allah ta'ala eventually grants him the result of his efforts and that seed grows in to a plant. The farmer is patient for the plants growth and for it to give produce. Thereafter, he grinds down the grain and stores it to fulfil his needs for the entire year.

Similarly, Ramadan is an open field. If we work hard for thirty days, crush our desires and we value our worship, Allah ta'ala grants us the result of our hard work and we will enjoy our harvest for the rest of the year just like the farmer.

The one who crushed his desire, sacrifices his sleep and work and makes effort, he receives the benefit for the rest of the year.

The one who joined the dhikr gathering will receive the reward and impact for the rest of the year. It is a shame to lose out on earning rewards during these valuable moments of Ramadan. If we fail to attend the gatherings, we have incurred loss.

Those who waste their time, will never earn the result and reward which they may gain today. This is how valuable Ramadan is!

We should seek the opportunities to perform good deeds and remember that these thirty days are not for comfort and resting. Rather, what we earn during this month will continue to benefit us even in the afterlife.

The action which carries the greatest reward in this month is dhikr. Hadhrat Umar رضي الله عنه states that Nabi ﷺ stated that those who perform dhikr during this month are forgiven. Thus, these dhikr gatherings are great treasures and hold many rewards!

We are fortunate to be able to sit here until sunrise and we cannot imagine the rewards! If we waste these opportunities and remain occupied with futile things, we are very foolish and have no awareness for the Hereafter. Those who are conscious of the Hereafter never abandon these precious moments.

Ramadan is such a great month and Allah ta'ala's mercies are raining down with every passing second. The one who abandons dhikr, Taraweeh and other worship is wretched and Allah ta'ala is unhappy with him. Allah ta'ala has not given him the ability to benefit.

We should cease our other activities and reject them during this month. We should cut down our working hours because these treasures of Ramadan are incomparable to any other. We should loot these treasures!

We have no guarantee that we will live to see another Ramadan. It takes one moment in the company of the WaliAllah for our lives to be transformed and improved. Thus, we should not waste these moments.

We shouldn’t be arguing regarding Taraweeh and Taraweeh. We should rise in the night and perform eight Tahajjud rak'ah even if we recite smaller surahs. There should be no moment spent during this month which one regrets. Those who waste their time can never be improved.

To abandon these gatherings is a sign of weak faith and a lack of belief in death. In reality, Allah ta'ala grants us one Hajj and one Umrah reward for being sat here in this gathering and on top of that, reciting the kalimaat. Upon reciting one Durood Shareef, we receive seventy good deeds to our name. Ten sins are eliminated and our status is elevated ten times.

The one who leaves the dhikr gathering due to being sick will still be granted the rewards for it. However, the one who abandoned the dhikr gathering and other good deeds due to worldly excuses, will be cursed and he will become a wretched person. He will be punished.

We should not depart Ramadan as a wretched person. Rather, we must perform our worship correctly so that Allah ta'ala is proud of us.

We should not leave the gathering of our Sheikh during this month. The mercy which is descending upon the heart of the teacher are being reflected upon our hearts due to the blessings of this gathering.

We should sit with ease in the Masjid and not seek to leave the Masjid hastily.

After Asr we sit in dhikr until Magrib time. This is an excellent of worship, so we should not waste these gatherings. If we fail to attend than we are not true Dhaakir's. Rather, we are hypocrites.

A Dhaakir will never leave this opportunity. We should never neglect due to laziness, otherwise we will be punished. If a worldly task can be delayed easily for after Ramadan, it should be delayed so that one is able to prioritise attending the dhikr gathering. If you're just lazy then you're wasting your life.

May Allah ta'ala allow us to implement. Ameen
