These Two Points Will Make You A Wali of Allah

Allah ta'ala has granted us the treasure of faith. If we attain even a portion of faith, it is greater than the whole world and what it contains. He gave us this treasure without asking for it and without any effort. Due to this faith, eventually we will be freed from Hellfire.

Our faith is our asset and after attaining this treasure, we must strengthen our relationship with our Lord. Allah ta'ala assesses what we do with this treasure.

It doesn’t matter how knowledgeable we are and how many Hajj and Umrah we have performed, it is not guaranteed that our faith will save us. It will be Allah ta'ala's grace that will save us, not our own efforts.

Allah ta'ala sustains us, protects us, assists us and we have certainty in this due to our faith. We should fulfil the rights of our faith. Allah ta'ala grants us many opportunities to strengthen our relationship with Him.

Allah ta'ala assists and provides for all other creation, however, His true assistance is with the Saaliheen. The pious upright people are those who are worthy and deserving of Allah ta'ala's assistance, protection and elevation. Allah ta'ala listens to their prayers, their demands and their sighs. Allah ta'ala protects their tears. Allah ta'ala is aware of their needs and fulfils their requests without them requesting.

We focus on ourselves and attend the dhikr gatherings ourselves whilst we fail to encourage our womenfolk to partake in the dhikr gathering and connect themselves with a Wali Allah. In reality, we should improve and rectify ourselves as well as our womenfolk.

Whichever household engage in the dhikr of Allah ta'ala, the inhabitants of the heavens witness their houses sparkling like the moon and the sun.

It is unfortunate that Allah ta'ala has given us faith but we are not deserved and capable of maintaining this connection with Allah ta'ala, whereby we constantly receive His assistance. If we were to attain this connection, our sadness and difficulties would disappear. We would gain a high level of patience and understanding.

We blame Allah ta'ala that He is not helping us, however, we fail to look within ourselves. Allah ta'ala helps his upright pious slaves. We should assess the level we are at. Allah ta'ala is reminding us not to waste our time and to become righteous servants of Allah ta'ala so that our lives may pass beautifully.

We should not consider ourselves pious, rather, other people should consider us to be pious. The true pious person is ashamed of being recognised with great titles.

Our situation will be improved in this world and the Hereafter when we become upright and pious, otherwise our life is a waste and we are leading the life of animal.

Our faults and sins may crush the hope of becoming pious, however, we are required to look towards Allah ta'ala's mercy and not towards our sins. If Allah ta'ala has given Shaytan an opportunity, will he not give us opportunities?

There is a criteria of becoming pious. One is not required to engage in abundant worship and remain in the mosque in order to attain piety. Rather, if we move towards Allah ta'ala despite being immersed in sins, Allah ta'ala guarantees that we will be considered a wali Allah and we will be raised with them.

We are not born pious. We must work hard in order to become pious. It is inevitable that we will sin in this world and have an attraction towards it no mater which status we are on, as nafs and Shaytan invite us to sin. Allah ta'ala desires that we abandon sinning despite having the ability to sin and being attracted to it.

Such a person will develop such power and strength that he will be able to crush the desire of sin and flee towards Allah's ta'ala's call and order.

When we become pious, we gain the love, affection and help of Allah ta'ala. Our life will become unique and our fear will be eliminated. Undoubtedly, we will face difficulties, however we will be given the capability to bear them and embrace them.

Hadhrat Ayyub عليه السلام never complained to Allah ta'ala regarding his bad health. Everyone left him when be was sick but he was pious so he knew that Allah ta'ala will help him and this was only a test for him. If we are pious, we should also anticipate the mercy of Allah ta'ala when facing difficulties.

The wife of Hadhrat Ayyub عليه السلام never abandoned him throughout his illness. If we had the character of Hadhrat Ayyub عليه السلام today, it would rub off on to our wives. If we pester our wives, would they trust us and serve us? If they are not serving us, it is also the fault of the husband that perhaps his character and treatment is not good. We desire our wife to be pious like the wife of Hadhrat Ayyub عليه السلام, but we do not consider that we should also become like them and be pious.

If we became pious, then all our situations would be resolved. We should never consider ourselves superior to anyone else. Only Allah ta'ala knows who will achieve success and through which actions He will become pleased. We should never be proud over our actions and look down upon others.

A person becomes pious through his manners and not through worship. A person who removes obstacles from the pathway of the people will be in the highest rank in Paradise and the one who remains in the mosque, will stay behind.

We should perform 2 actions.

1) Whenever we are given the opportunity to perform a good deed, no matter how big or small, then we should make it a habit to be grateful to Allah ta'ala in our hearts for that deed.

2) Whenever we commit sins whether it big or small, we should immediately repent from Allah ta'ala wherever we may be. Immediately the sin will be removed and our status will be elevated.

Allah ta'ala draws nearer to a person who sins and repents over a person who performs good deeds.

This is a very easy formula to implement and this action can be performed anywhere at all. If we perform this action, we will become a high ranking wali Allah.

By performing these two actions, Allah ta'ala will transform our lives and He will open the doors of assistance, nearness and regard for us.

It is Allah ta'ala's great favour upon us that He allows us to attend these very special dhikr gatherings. Let it not be that we do not take advantage of this blessing when we are capable, and when we become helpless and incapable, we desperately wish to attend the dhikr gathering and are not able to.

Whenever Allah ta'ala grants you the opportunity to sit in the dhikr gathering, then thank Allah ta'ala in your heart for sending you to such a place whereby your sins will be forgiven no matter how many sins you have committed and you will be given so many rewards for reciting the beautiful kalimaat. If you attend in such a way, your condition will transform and you will taste the enjoyment of this gathering. All the evil temptations within you will become destroyed and Allah ta'ala's light will enter you.

When we become grateful, we attain the virtues and positive impact of that action.

Unless we have a connection with wali Allah, our heart cannot improve. When a person receives the glance of a wali Allah, it transforms him. These ranks are achieved after the sins are removed.

After we perform good actions we should be thankful to Allah ta'ala for allowing us to perform that good deed. We should not consider any good deed as minor. When we are grateful upon a minor deed, Allah ta'ala expands it for us and our status increases.

It is unfortunate that we consider ourselves Nabi ﷺ's ummati and expect intercession from him in the Hereafter, yet we imitate the ways of the western people and those against him. In every prayer, we seek refuge from being amongst the misguided and those who have earned Allah ta'ala's wrath, yet we walk around without purdah and have no shame. We have a desire to become modern and label the followers of the Prophet ﷺ as 'fundamentalists.'

Such people will be deprived and rejected from the pond of Kawthar.

We have many responsibilities in life, however if we engage in dhikr then all goodness will come in to our life. We will become regular in optional prayers whilst engaging in our worldly work alongside. If we engage in abundant dhikr, then Allah ta'ala will enable us to engage in all actions of the world. It doesn't matter how busy we are, performing dhikr will make us successful in both worlds. We should grab hold of the wali Allah to learn dhikr from a Sheikh.

May Allah ta'ala grant us the ability to implement. Ameen
