The Awliyah Allah will be given a high position in Paradise. Others will be envious of the way Allah ta'ala treats them and of their high grades in Paradise. They will receive the closeness of the Prophets عليهم السلام.
It is rare that the friends of Allah ta'ala are recognised in this world, besides a few whom Allah ta'ala makes apparent so that they can reform the people, otherwise, Allah ta'ala keeps His friends hidden like pearls. People in this world reject the Awliyah Allah and do not value them. Unfortunately, our criteria of a good person is something else in life.
How did the Awliyah Allah attain their ranks?
They reflected upon the Quran and had concern over the Quran. They looked for the special points in the Quran through which a person may attain Allah ta'ala's nearness. They would practice upon the solutions they found despite facing their own challenges in life. They didn't turn back from this path.
The Quran grants us Allah ta'ala's nearness so we should ponder over it. If we fail to do this, it will not serve us any benefit. Those who understand the reality of life, their objective through every act of worship is to achieve Allah ta'ala's nearness.
We shouldn’t engage in worship to seek reward. Rather, we should engage in worship to attain Allah ta'ala's nearness. In such a way, one also attains the reward for their worshipping. Everyone can attain Allah ta'ala's nearness and you do not have to be someone knowledgeable to achieve this. You can still attain a high status in Allah ta'ala's eyes if you are not a Aalim or a Haafidh.
When a person treads the path of Allah ta'ala, he faces challenges and difficulties. However, when Allah ta'ala is found, then the Wali Allah forgets everything. We tend to become put off and complain that it is too difficult to practice our deen. Shaytan whispers in our ears, however, this is something we should never give up on.
We can become a wali Allah and there are many methods to achieve this. Every Wali Allah became so due to spending their time correctly. Without this, one cannot become a Wali Allah.
Allah ta'ala swears by the time and the pious predecessors explain that this is the biggest resource we have been given which we must utilise to achieve Allah ta'ala's nearness. Imagine how great a wealth time is!
When you invest in a company, you want profit and not loss. If that company does not implement the right services and invests in the wrong products, then the company have committed excess. Your wealth is wasted and you will be in loss.
Allah ta'ala has sworn by the wealth of time and there is no greater wealth than this. The most valuable commodity which Allah ta'ala has granted a human being to invest in, is time. If the human being wastes his time in useless actions and follows his own passions, then everything will be destroyed in his life. With this wealth of time, we must attain Paradise and we must achieve our ranks in the Hereafter. Using time, we gain Allah ta'ala's closeness and love. If we waste our time, we have incurred loss, we are deviated and have nothing to our names. Thereafter, we will enter Hellfire. نعوذ بالله
Allah ta'ala has granted us time to earn everlasting and permanent profit in the Hereafter. Thus, we shouldn't spend our valuable time on worldly things which are of no value to us. We should invest our time in preparing for our Hereafter.
Once time is lost, it cannot return to us. Everything can be compensated for but the company of the Sheikh cannot be compensated. The magnificence and light you experience in one gathering, you will not experience the same in the next. You can gain the company of your Sheikh in the future, however, you wasted his company today. This is because Allah ta'ala grants certain mercies and light at certain times. What you earn in today's gathering, cannot be earnt tomorrow.
We have come to this world with a great purpose. The Awliyah Allah understood this objective so they didn't waste a minute. The successful person is he who spent his time correctly in this world. We should draw closer to Allah ta'ala with every breath. We should utilise our time correctly and Allah ta'ala has granted us resources to invest in our time.
"Except those who have faith, do good, and urge each other to the truth, and urge each other to perseverance." [103:3]
Faith, righteous deeds, truth and patience.
We need to utilise these four things in our life and this will grant us abundant profit.
Faith-
We should invest our time in protecting our faith. No deeds should corrupt our faith and we should be able to recite the kalimah before we depart this world.
Righteous deeds - we should correct our deeds. We should engage in righteous actions which will grant us Allah ta'ala's pleasure.
Truth - we should practice the true pure deen with the right belief and without contamination, innovation and oppression. We should invest our time upon the truth and the true deen which is the imitation of the Sunnah. We should attain those means through which we may work hard upon implementing this.
Patience - There will be challenges and trials on the path of deen. No matter how many we face, we should not be afraid. We should endure and never abandon this path. We should die hungry instead of consuming interest. We should avoid lying and fraud in order to earn more money.
We should not waste our time in futile activities. Rather, we should spend time on these four things and we will become a Wali Allah. Whoever became a Wali Allah became so, due to utilising their time correctly and without wasting any moment in their lives. Such a method helps one to be connected with Allah ta'ala.
We should not be detached from our objective for any second. Even the people of Paradise will regret the time they wasted and failed to remember Allah ta'ala.
One cannot attain success with only a little bit of action. If you want success in the Hereafter, you must engage in dhikr with every breath. Life is made up of a collection of breaths and every breath will be accounted for. Our time must be used properly according to Allah ta'ala’s instructions. With every breath of our life, we should improve our life and attain His nearness. Dhikr does not allow a person to become heedless and that is why we should engage in abundant dhikr.
Allah ta'ala has placed the treasures of the lataaif within us which we fail to utilise. In reality, when we immerse ourselves in the name of Allah ta'ala, we attain His nearness.
We should go to a Sheikh who may teach us the name of Allah ta'ala so we can recite His name internally and through this dhikr, we manifest the truth in our life. If we wish to attain the love of Allah ta'ala, we must love the Awliyah Allah who already love Allah ta'ala. In their company we will attain His love.
Allah ta'ala desires that we return to Him with a pure heart which is immersed in dhikr and carries no other love besides His. With this, all our deeds will be accepted. We must work hard to achieve this.
Whenever you find yourself wasting time, immediately stop yourself and engage in istighfar. Don't waste time. Speak to yourself, correct yourself and remind yourself of your purpose.
You should work and fulfil your responsibilities of life, but your heart should be attached towards Allah ta'ala. Focus on your heart all the time and your heart will be constantly engaged in Allah ta'ala's remembrance. This is a high grade investment for the Hereafter. Engage in worldly work, but remember Allah ta'ala in your heart whilst you're working.
