The Sign for the Love of Allah

Nabi ﷺ said, "The Mufarridun have gone ahead." He was asked, "Who are the Mufarridun?" He (ﷺ) replied, "Those men and women who frequently celebrate the remembrance of Allah."

[Muslim].

The Mufarridun have advanced and reached the heights in the Hereafter. The more Dhikr a person engages in, the closer he becomes to Allah ta'ala and his ranks are raised. The higher ranks in the Hereafter will be given to those who engaged in Dhikr in abundance.

Dhikr is a very big blessing and in Ahadith, it mentions that whoever Allah ta'ala loves and wants to make His beloved, He grants them the ability to engage in Dhikr. This is the measurement gauge to assess whether we have the love and passion for Dhikr in our hearts.

If we are given the ability to perform Dhikr, then know that this is through Allah ta'ala's Mercy upon us. When we are negligent and lazy in regards to Dhikr, know that Allah ta'ala is displeased with us and has prevented us from remembering Him.

If you have a Shari'ee excuse and you cannot attend the Dhikr Gathering, then you can perform Dhikr alone. If you cannot sit and engage in Dhikr, you can lay down and perform it. If you cannot recite Dhikr aloud, then you can perform Dhikr silently in your heart. If you do not have wudu, you can perform Dhikr without it.
There are no limitations in regards to Dhikr and there is no excuse for abandoning it. Allah ta'ala has made Dhikr easy for us but Shaytan is the only thing preventing us from Dhikr. We must fight with our Nafs and begin this good deed forcefully, even if we don't feel like it.

We should fix a time to perform it for 5 minutes in order to overcome our Nafs. When a person makes a habit of doing this despite not feeling like it, Allah ta'ala appreciates him and promises that He will help this person.

You should have determination and not lose hope. If you do not pray in congregation, you should make an intention to pray one prayer in congregation. Start with this and eventually you'll be able to read 5 in congregation.

We must have determination and push ourselves during these blessed days. When Allah ta'ala grants us these days of Mercy, He wishes to see how much concern we have for our Hereafter. During these days, Allah ta'ala grants us uncountable rewards for our good deeds. Therefore, we should try to exert ourselves during these days.

One night of prayer during these blessed days, grants us the reward of praying for the whole year. The most virtuous prayer after the compulsory prayers, is the prayer of Tahajjud. Allah ta'ala initially made this prayer compulsory upon Mankind and the Sahabah used to perform it regularly. Thereafter, Allah ta'ala lowered it from the rank of a compulsory prayer.

After Isha we should perform Tahajjud. Even if we pray 2 rakat Tahajjud prayer after Isha, it is complete. Thereafter, we should engage in Dhikr and in this way we will receive the reward of Laylatul Qadr.

We should make the effort of learning Dhikr of the heart from a Sheikh. Whoever loves Dhikr, Allah ta'ala loves Him and the sign of loving Him is to remember Him.

Dhikr is a form of Dua. Therefore, it is not necessary to raise your hands for your needs and sorrows. Allah ta'ala is well aware of your needs and emotions within you. Even if you don't share it with anyone, Allah ta'ala knows your problems.

The blessing of Dhikr is that as soon as a person begins engaging in Dhikr, Allah ta'ala accepts all his requests.

May Allah ta'ala grant us the ability to implement.
