The Path of Forgiveness

Allah ta'ala has a special connection with those who have belief in Him, and this is what raises our status, despite not being practicing believers. The fact that we believe in Allah ta'ala alone, demonstrates our belief in Him, which makes us special.

Those who don't believe in Allah, will receive punishments in the Hereafter. If one splash of the fire of Jahannam was to drop into the seas of this world, it would cause them to boil over.
Thus, we should be grateful for our Imaan and spend our entire life protecting this Imaan. If we die with Imaan, then the rest is upon Allah's Mercy. Allah ta'ala's Mercy surpasses every other quality of His. Allah ta'ala is Just and Merciful. We shouldn't commit wrongdoing, overlooking Allah ta'ala's Justice and neither overlook His Mercy and become despondent. Allah ta'ala is our Lord and He will forgive us. We should have a balance between fear and hope in Allah ta'ala.

When we value our Imaan, then Allah ta'ala grants us the gift of Dhikr. Dhikr means to revise your Imaan. So, when we engage in dhikr, we are demonstrating our gratitude for our Imaan.

We should sit in the dhikr gatherings with desire and passion because those who partake, will depart this world with Imaan. Our love for Allah ta'ala should drive us to these gatherings, instead of attending for the sake of earning reward.

When we engage in dhikr together, the angels in the heavens begin swaying with love and witness our gatherings in awe.

Hadhrat Ibn Abbas رضي الله عنه said that the first group to be called on Qiyamah, will be those who remembered Allah ta'ala in adversity and prosperity.

A person with weak faith, still has faith in Allah ta'ala, so Allah ta'ala inflicts him with an illness or a calamity before his death, in order for him to attain Paradise and save him from Hellfire.

We fear calamities and become despondent, however, Allah ta'ala has prepared a solution for this person. He may not perform good actions in the world, but Allah ta'ala wants to send Him to Paradise due to his Imaan, or some quality within him, thus, grants him a calamity.

Hadhrat Anas رضي الله عنه states that Allah ta'ala places a person in affliction because He desires goodness for him.

Prior to death, very often people are stricken with disease. We usually consider it a punishment due to a person's sins. Rather, it is Allah ta'ala's favour upon such a person, that He wishes to forgive him. This is because Allah ta'ala desires goodness for him, so, enables his evil to be removed.

Certain individuals do not perform good deeds, yet, they have great love for the Awliyah Allah. They are ashamed that they couldn't practice upon the teachings of their Sheikh. However, Allah ta'ala loves the person who loves the pious people. I've seen many people departing this world, they did not practice, yet, they had love for the Awliyah Allah and they died with a high level of faith. They died on the night of Qadr even though they seemed outwardly sinful.

The greatest attack from Shaytan upon the person, is extracting the love and admiration for a pious person, because this is an obstruction to a person's destruction. He is always planning and plotting against you. He places whispers in your heart, against your Sheikh and encourages you to look for flaws in the teacher. He demotes the teacher in your eyes and distances you from him and strives to do this all lifelong. Shaytan knows that you will be with the ones you love in the Hereafter, so, he attempts to break that connection.

We should remove our dislike and criticism for the pious people. If you possess a negative thought, you should recite Istighfar 70 times.
If you're not deserving of Paradise, but you love a pious person, then, Allah ta'ala places you in difficulty, in order to grant you goodness and eliminate all your sins. Any level of sin, even those seemingly insignificant, as long as they are attached to you, Allah ta'ala and His angels remain distant from you. A person cannot enter paradise with sins, so he must repent.

Sins are hurdles for us, so calamities and difficulties are what removes our sins. Then as soon as a person is purified, he becomes a Wali Allah.

If you don’t have the love for a pious person, then develop your love with them and become close to them. Make Dua for them. Crush your desires. Give your wealth, your time and your life for them. Sacrifice your beloved things for the pious person, because this is what will take you to Paradise, especially if you don't possess good deeds.

The greatest worship is the one through which a person's sins are eliminated. Allah ta'ala has prepared easy solutions for us, which is why we must take hold of the gatherings in which these beautiful Kalimaat are recited.

"If a person is struck by sickness or hardship and he recites,
لا إله إلا أنت سبحانك إني كنت من الظالمين
40 times, and he dies thereafter, he will die as a martyr. If he recovers from that sickness, then all his sins are removed for him and he becomes pure."

In a Hadith, it is mentioned that, when a person becomes sick and he repents and thereafter, requests a pious person to make pray for him, then, the angels become alerted and recognise the voice of this person as he used to do Dhikr. Allah ta'ala is already aware as he had arranged the Dhikr as the means for his forgiveness.
Allah ta'ala then declares, that He will assist that person in every way, even if he merely listened to the Dhikr gatherings. He reassures such a person that He has prepared a good Hereafter for him.
Hence, the friends of Allah are the most precious commodity, and a person receives a good end via the love for a pious person. To sacrifice your wealth and time for him becomes the biggest worship.

People will be sweating and stressing on Qiyamah with regards to their reckoning. Then Allah ta'ala will call out to a group and everyone will crane their necks to witness. Allah ta'ala's Mercy will be showering down upon them with heavy downpour. They are those who persevered through the difficulties inflicted by Allah ta'ala and they never left His remembrance. They accepted their trials as a means to attain a high status. They did not show off and commit wrongdoing during prosperity. They didn't fluctuate, rather, they were solid. They did not forget Allah ta'ala during their difficulties, nor did they commit sin.

They crushed their desires for the pleasure of their Lord. They knew all the pathways towards evil and had all the means, yet, the fear of displeasing their Lord prevented them from wrongdoing. These people are considered the true patient ones, and they will be admitted into Paradise without reckoning.

The youth in particular, have been placed in an environment in which everyone is enjoying themselves around you and it is difficult. You were young and could've contacted any girl you wanted to. You could've advance towards any vice or evil. You could've drunk as much alcohol as you wanted to. You could've listened to the lyrics of any music. Will all of this not be valued by Allah ta'ala?

Nafs calls you towards evil and your lust tries to trap you. The ones who are not married, are tested via their patience and the doors of Paradise are open for them Know, that if you're not given now, then, you're not losing out. If you leave alcohol today, Allah ta'ala will grant you pure drinks in the Hereafter. If you leave a woman in the world, Allah ta'ala will grant you a beautiful Hur in the Hereafter. This is the path of patience.

This month is the month of patience and the first quality of a Wali Allah, is that he is patient.
Thus, the first action is to learn patience and that is done by crushing your desires and pleasing Allah ta'ala.

Hadhrat Abdul Qadir Jilani رحمة الله عليه was a very wealthy person, yet, his business was not found in his heart. He was such a businessman, that He would leave his business behind, every time the call to prayer was made.

In reality, Allah ta'ala is not giving you wealth, rather, He places it in your possession to distribute to the poor. Yet, you suppress the wealth.
As a matter of fact, when you begin giving to the Creation, then you won't have love for the world and materialism. Keep enough money for your needs and then spend the rest in the name of Allah. In this way, Allah ta'ala will fulfil your needs and you will continue fulfilling the needs of people.

We should remember Allah ta'ala on Eid day too. This is enjoyment as it means we are being grateful to Allah ta'ala for our blessings.

May Allah ta'ala allow us to implement.
