Why are we Weak in Good deeds? And its Cure.

Allah ta'ala has given the human being control and freewill to advance towards the obedience or disobedience of Allah ta'ala.
Humans are not compelled towards either or burdened with what they are incapable of. Thus, in the Hereafter, no excuses will be accepted from us in the court of Allah as Allah ta'ala has given us complete power to be safe from sin.

Allah ta'ala has commanded us with certain orders so how can He grant us duties beyond our capability? All instructions of Allah are within our capacity and strength. He has made them easy for us to uphold. Allah ta'ala has instilled determination and intention within us to support us fully in this endeavour.

Furthermore, we have been given exemptions when applicable but we should not make our own analysis and exemptions and present excuses to suit our desires.

When a person submits, then Allah ta'ala creates ease and methods for him. It is our duty to step forth and strive. The Awliyah Allah are fervent in worship and also occupied in their own personal duties alongside. They are able to do this due to their intention and determination. The strength of intention is so powerful that one determined individual can shake the entire generation.

These 2 qualities are great blessings so we should utilise them to develop our concern for the Hereafter and to help us prepare for it.

When you intend to travel on a journey, you prepare in advance. You ensure not to leave anything behind. Similarly, those who have conviction in the Hereafter, they do not relax or become complacent and satisfied with their deeds. Rather they worry over their deeds and they worry that they have not done enough. They have strong conviction and are always seeking means to improve and progress.

Our conviction in the paradise is weak which is why we lack in striking for it and become satisfied with our little deeds. Those who prepare for the Hereafter are constantly analysing their lives and they don't waste time.

Allah ta'ala established the gatherings of dhikr via his pious servants. Allah ta'ala grants us many blessings through these dhikr gatherings. One gains the reward of one accepted Hajj and Umrah when he engages in dhikr. Nabi ﷺ confirmed this thrice in the presence of the Sahabah. When one physically performs Umrah or Hajj, he cannot guarantee it will be accepted from him, but here we have guarantee of this!

Shaytan makes us feel weak and helpless from achieving these rewards. In reality our sins are forgiven via these gatherings, yet we run away from them. Instead, we engage in Haraam whilst we indulge and enjoy the blessings of Allah ta'ala.

Allah ta'ala says,

وَمَن يَعْشُ عَن ذِكْرِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ
"And whoever is blinded from remembrance of the Most Merciful.." [43:36]

The attribute of Allah ta'ala, 'Rahman' is used. This word denotes Allah ta'ala favouring us with everything in the world despite our sins. Allah ta'ala uses this word here to remind us of all His favours upon us and due to this we are obliged to remember Him and thank Him via dhikr. This is the way to become a grateful servant.

Allah ta'ala can strip us from these blessings. He could cause our loved ones die within minutes. He could remove the knowledge from our hearts. He could make us into bandits and thieves. Allah ta'ala do as He wills and although we are disobedient, He still showers many blessings upon us. So when we abstain from dhikr, we are in fact rejecting the favours of Allah ta'ala. Furthermore, Allah ta'ala accepts our deed when we engage in His dhikr alongside.

نُقَيِّضْ لَهُ شَيْطَانًا فَهُوَ لَهُ قَرِينٌ

..."We appoint for him a devil, and he is to him a companion." [43:36]

Those who criticise, reject and flee from dhikr do so out of pride. They have no importance nor value for dhikr within them. These people will be punished via Allah ta'ala setting shaytan upon them. And if Allah ta'ala Himself sets a Jinn or Shaytan upon a person, then can any sorcerer or magician free him? No one can then save him from the grip of Shaytan. No power of the world can detach you from that shaytan or jinn until you begin doing the dhikr of Allah.

وَإِنَّهُمْ لَيَصُدُّونَهُمْ عَنِ السَّبِيلِ وَيَحْسَبُونَ أَنَّهُم مُّهْتَدُونَ

"And indeed, (the devils) avert them from the way [of guidance] while they think that they are [rightly] guided." [43:37]

When Allah ta'ala sets shaytan free on a person then he is destroyed. Shaytan will take away everything from this person so imagine the extent of the evil impact upon this person!
He will keep preventing you from every path which leads to Allah. You will find worshipping difficult and even if you worship Him, your worship will be full of pretence and ostentation. Your prayer will be worthy of being thrown back upon your face. Your sujood will be full of fraud.

Shaytan becomes the companion of this person until he enters Hellfire. When shaytan is attached to you, then he will make you commit all sorts. Those who became heedless by Shaytan, will call out to Allah in the Hereafter and seek forgiveness and will wish that they had been distanced from this enemy

Being granted materialistic things whilst abandoning the remembrance of Allah, can never be a form of achievement for a person. Rather, it becomes the reason for one's destruction.

Poverty and sickness are calamities, but the worst punishment for a human being is to be given wealth and assets whilst he disobeys Allah. Shaytan makes such people run towards the dunya so they become deviated. They progress in this world because Allah ta'ala diverts them from the truth path. On the other hand, shaytan can never deviate a person who sits in the dhikr Majlis.

We lack in worship due to weak determination. So why is our strength and intention weak? What is the root cause? It is due to our nafs and shaytan challenging us all the time. Shaytan crushes our determination and overpowers it. Thus, such people feel compelled to do bad and incapable of doing good. In reality, we are superior to the angels because we break all barriers and obstacles to get close to Allah. Thus, we should avoid complaining about our trials as we are put to trial for our own progression.

Allah ta'ala has made a path for us to develop these 2 qualities and this is via the company of a Sheikh and the dhikr of Allah. Hasten to the dhikr gathering as the bees hasten to honey because when you engage in dhikr, it strengthens your intention and determination.

Nothing can control one's desires besides the company of your Sheikh. Take the hand of your Sheikh and uphold his preference. Obey him like the Sahabah obeyed their teacher. They implemented all orders. This form of Sufism is not a bidah, it's a continuation. And until Qiyamah it will continue.

When you assign yourself to your Sheikh, then you must live according to his decision and preference. This is how you will succeed in the Hereafter.

Self-rectification takes place when you listen to your Sheikh no matter how much worldly loss you incur, no matter the great sacrifice you have to make. When you engage in dhikr. Your strength becomes stronger and you find practicing deen very easy. The journey of life becomes easy.

Allah ta'ala has given us full capacity and strength. No sin is hard to leave. Nothing is impossible with strong determination. We are incapable of nothing if our conviction is strong.

May Allah ta'ala allow us to implement.
