Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ has mentioned with regards the Merciful and Generous Prophet ﷺ, Allah has mentioned about his Glory and Status in the Quran with regards to his status, Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَ has described the Prophet ﷺ as وَمُبَشِّرًا وَنَذِيرًا . In other words the giver of good news, the one who warns and the one who creates awareness or fear. What does it mean to create fear? This is not the fear that people get scared or there is a feeling of awe and terror. The Generous Holy Prophet’s ﷺ character was never like that, when he warned it was with love and affection and when he created awareness it was with love and affection. If we see the word warner, warning or admonishment but it depends on the individuals who are being addressed. For example when a mother and father remind and scold their children this is not them being strict, firm or giving pain for pestering somebody rather this is their love and affection. The parents remind in different ways to inform the children and this is not scaring them. One small example I can give here is that if a Father warns his children not to do a particular action, to save them from wrong or evil the Father tries his best to explain to them the consequences of that action in terms of extreme loss. The bond of love from the Father to his children is such that he is forced to in various methods to instil that fear of doing wrong. Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ has created that bond of love in a similar way in the Quran Allah has informed us on the love of His Habib ﷺ which He has for every single person is clearly outlined in the following verse:

لَقَدْ جَآءَكُمْ رَسُولٌ مِّنْ أَنفُسِكُمْ عَزِيزٌ عَلَيْهِ مَا عَنِتُّمْ حَرِيصٌ عَلَيْكُم

بِٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ رَءُوفٌ رَّحِيمٌ

Surah Tawbah 128

Subhanallah, Allah says my Habib ﷺ is such that he has so much love, affection, warmth, good feelings for his Ummah/Nation. On top of that with every single person he is extremely sympathetic and compassionate and especially Subhanallah. How is this? Allah says that

He is full of concern for you, fully of mercy and compassion towards the believers. We need to imagine the emotion and feeling the Prophet ﷺ has as he does not want anyone from his Ummah, man or woman, mu’min or muminaat, I don’t want any one of them to enter Jahannam or attain any punishment, I don’t want them to have pain in the grave or difficulty at the time of death, I don’t want them to fall in to any difficulty or distress. I gave the example of the father or warns his children and all day and night mother and father are concerned about their children, their son or daughter may have gone off track and due to this they get very sad and go in to depression. This is all for the sake of the children, due to the issues the children are facing the parents are in a position of great stress. If we look to the Prophet ﷺ, Allah states he is حَرِيصٌ عَلَيْكُم , this is a very unique word حَرِيصٌ, the Prophet is heavily weighed down with the concern about the life to come, حَرِيصٌ عَلَيْكُم the Prophet does not want any issue to befall on his Ummati. The reason is the quality ofرَءُوفٌ رَّ حِيمٌ , the Holy Prophet is full of compassion and mercy رَءُوفٌ رَّحِيمٌ , just imagine this. We can guage and measure from this the Holy Prophets ﷺ love, worry and concern that he had. Do you think he would scare people or cause them problems and difficulties? Of course not, rather Allah Ta’Ala says ٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ, fear Allah and fear the fire. This was not to make us scared for the sake of it as the Holy Prophet ﷺ knew about Jahannam, the conditions, the severity and scenery of Jahannam. Due to the deep love, affection and compassion for the Ummah he would warn and explain to us about the hell fire. This was not done so we get scared or start shaking but it was so we can be saved from this punishment. His every effort in life was so that we could be saved from the hell fire and not so that we fall into distress, have a punishment or become extremely worried. The Holy Prophet ﷺ said save yourselves from any way or form from the hell fire, just like the father’s example I gave for the son. This was one of the mannerisms of the Holy Prophet ﷺ , Allah states وَمُبَشِّرًا وَنَذِيرً, he came to give good news, glad tidings and warn aswell. In this Ayah Allah Ta’ala says (Subhan’Allah)

The Holy Prophet ﷺ is compassionate and he wants every mumin and muminat who follows and obeys the Holy Prophet ﷺ to have goodness and as is described in this verse he wants them to enter paradise. This is the good news that Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ is giving here that the Prophet ﷺ wants all his Ummatis to enter paradise because it is such an abode that Allah has praised in many places in the Quran, beautiful descriptions Allah Kareem has given us. That Jannah/Paradise is such a place that if we hear a little description that ‘No eye can see, no ears can hear, the heart can’t contemplate or absorb the glory and beauty of paradise, how fantastic and brilliant the is the place of paradise about which the Prophet ﷺ has given us good news. The person who will be in the lowest level of paradise, he will have a 1000 palaces, in every palace 70,000 servants as is stated in the Hadith and in every servant will have a glass in their hand, Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ knows best what will be in that glass/container as every one of the servants holding this plate/bowl will have different ones, none of them will be the same. Hadhrat Ibn Umar رضي الله عنه stated that the distance between the Palaces will equal the journey of one year, the whole path will be decorated in a lavish and luxurious way. This is the distance between two palaces, amazing and further whatever part he looks at he will think it is so close to me. In every palace Allah has kept Hoors/Maidens for him, decoration, Allah Ta’Ala states a person can’t imagine the reward Allah has set aside for his servant. Upon every tree Allah has placed a special dress in 70,000 different forms to which the servant will point and choose whichever attire he wants as is stated by Allah يَخۡرُجُ مِنۡهُمَا اللُّـؤۡلُـؤُ وَالۡمَرۡجَانُۚ‏ , they will come on to his body to wear. In other words this description is of the lowest level of Paradise, this is the preparation and reward for the servant of Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ , we need to imagine the highest level of Paradise. Allah states in this Ayah اَنَّ لَهُمۡ جَنّٰتٍ تَجۡرِىۡ مِنۡ تَحۡتِهَا الۡاَنۡهٰرُ, now here Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ is explaining to the Prophet ﷺ to give glad tidings to those who do good deeds that there are gardens awaiting them underneath which rivers flow. We need to remember that the things that are being mentioned here, explained and described about Paradise, for example we have the Muttashabihat, like we have the apple, banana, palace, hoor/maiden they are just examples and the reality of these things we can’t identify or comprehend. For example if an apple is being mentioned, this will not be like the apple of this world but this likeness is made so our brains can contemplate and can understand easily. Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ states مِنۡ تَحۡتِهَا الۡاَنۡهٰرُ, gardens beneath which rivers flow, in the Hadith it is stated that these rivers of paradise are not like the rivers of this world where they have ditches, varying levels of depth, are not even, sand, silts and dirty water. The name river is used but the reality of it we can’t comprehend, (Subhan’Allah) where they will emanate from, where will they flow to, will they be rivers of water, milk, honey, the pure non intoxicating alcohol, drinks only Allah knows best what sorts of rivers and waters will be in them, how it will flow, what the width will be, what will it look like, we can’t comprehend this. Everything in Paradise will be pure, absolutely nothing can be impure at all not even an atoms weight of impurity can be in Paradise. Then Allah Ta’ala mentions the fruits, Allahu Akbar

Allah states as often as they are there will be fruits thereof and different fruits mentioned by name but different in taste. They may look the same but a massive difference to what we are accustomed to and when the person in paradise will eat the fruit he will think he has just had the same fruit, then that same fruit with the same shape and form will have different taste with the same appearance and it will be unique. Allahu Akbar. The reason for this is in the hadith collection by Imam Tirmidhi Rahmatullah Alay narrated by Hadhrat Abdullah Bin Masood رضي الله عنه that the Holy Prophet ﷺ stated that the soil of Paradise is pure and fragrant, the plane of Paradise is clean, the trees of Paradise they will do tasmih, tahmeed and takbeer which is,
سُبْحَان الِلّه وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلّهِ وَ لآ اِلهَ اِلّا اللّهُ، وَ اللّهُ اَكْبَرُ the fruits will hang from these trees. This is just like the recitation which we do in Dhikr and different rewards are given to different people, the difference in taste of these fruits in the hereafter is according to the sincerity/ikhlaas and humility of the zikr the individual person did. If the person is on a high grade of zikr then the trees will be more lofty, branches full of fruits, they will seem all the same but the taste will be based on the deeds and reward he attained in the Dunya. These are the fruits of Allahs zikr, the zikr we do we must look at the sincerity, love and attention in which we recite these kalam. How much do we immerse ourselves in the Zikr of Allah? How do we remember Allah? How sincerely do we remember Allah سبحانه وتعالىٰ ? Like we say that we don’t enjoy zikr, we leave it, we don’t get enjoyment from it, this taste and enjoyment it converts in Paradise. When you arrive in paradise the fruits in Paradise will look the same but unique in taste. Subhan’Allah.

They will say we have eaten these before but every fruit will have different taste due to the deeds and rewards, there are 100 levels in Paradise,on every level the same things may be seen but the status will be higher and the detail will be higher. What does this mean? A very important point, the deeds we do here must have a high grade of ikhlaas, pure for the sake of Allah, Lillahi. Sadaqah, Fasting, Zakah, Zikr, recitation of the Quran all most be with the highest form of sincerity. The more purity and sincerity in the deeds the fruits of Paradise will be more fragrant and tasty. In this Dunya on planet earth you are preparing for these Paradise. Then Allah states:

Subhan’Allah. Here Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ states that there are pure companions, wives, hoors and the same women from the earth will be the heads of the hoors. Your wife in this world will be your wife in the hereafter, she will be in charge and lead the hoors but unfortunately they will not have the forms and appearances of this dunya. Masha’Allah even in this world all the husbands and wives are beautiful and have great appearances. The wives love the husbands and the husbands love their wives. They love each other and have no defects but the standard of the hereafter is very unique, high grade Jannah/Paradise. In Jannah the beauty of this world will not remain. Imagine if one normal hoor were to show her beauty now to this world the entire world will be full of light. So how high the status will be for the head of the hoors and this will be the sisters of this world. They may be very beautiful in this world Masha’Allah but the beauty in the hereafter will be at the standard of Paradise. How will we get the wives/companions in the hereafter? The method for this is the husband of that woman will have the same husband in the herafter. If a woman has a husband who passes away and she gets married to then she will be with that second husband. However if a woman has a desire that she wants a particular person to be her husband in the hereafter that will be permitted. For example if a muttaqi woman or sahabi had a desire for her husband to be a particular person then she will have that person as her husband. She can do that dua in this world that O Allah in Jannah make my husband such a person. In that case Allah will make her actual husband pleased with this decision then her Nikah will be done to her desired choice. This desired husband could be from the Sahaba, Awliya Allah and Qutub. In order for this dua to be accepted the woman must be muttaqi herself and if she has a good desire and tried to get to the highest status in Jannah. If she is low in her practice and makes this high form of dua then this will not be successful and the sister will need to improve on her deeds. Even for the men, anyone can make dua, the woman for the husband but she will have to make effort in this world. Allah states (Subhan’Allah)
The special word used here is purity. Subhan’Allah. The saliva, dirt, excrement, dirt, smell, sweat from this world will not be present in Paradise. We can’t imagine any dirt or impurity to be present in paradise. The worst case of impurity and smell in this world is the bad character of a person. If a person removes his bad conduct and manners then that woman can become the head of the hoors if she removes back biting, lying, anger, gossip mongering and malice. Then if that women enters the grave Allah Ta’la will purify that woman for Paradise. Allah will beautify her, make her elegant and we cannot imagine this beauty and elegance. The man will also be beautiful, handsome and in the hadith it is stated that a man will go in to a marketplace not to buy anything but just to visit, he will see beautiful faces and appearances, he will then be told whichever appearance he wishes to have he can take that appearance. In this way he will prefer one look and his appearance will take that form and when he returns home his wife will praise his beauty and be surprised that he is looking this way. She will ask her husband how his appearance has changed and then he will inform his wife what happened in the market place. He will ask “Do you like my appearance? The wife will say out of excitement of course Allah’s Wali. Then the husband will say to the wife that you are also looking even more beautiful. The wife will say I was given a special dress of light from paradise and the same light has been placed on my face. Then the Wali will say Subhan’Allah, he will state that I have never seen such a beautiful/elegant face. These are conversations of Jannah and the good news given to us by the Holy Prophet ﷺ. Allah Ta’ala has told us about hell fire but then after describing paradise states do you not prefer paradise. We have been given such beautiful points about paradise as in fruits, food, palaces, mansions, rivers, open plains, azwaj/wives/companions and beautiful gardens. This is the ideal life which Allah is describing وَّهُمۡ فِيۡهَا خٰلِدُوۡنَ, you will abide there forever and have more luxuries. The wives and everything else will be permanent and it will never end. The life in paradise will be one of pure enjoyment, luxury, happiness and this will be everyday always increasing in pleasure. If we look at the lowest inhabitant of Paradise then imagine the reward of the highest level of paradise and the greatest reward that Allah will give to these people will be when Allah calls upon them and informs them that your Rab/Creator is happy with you and He will never be displeased with you. Then after stating this Allah will remove the veil between Him and the people of Paradise. Every morning and evening Allah will allow them see Him and Allah will show himself to them. Alhamdulillah this is the greatest reward for the people of paradise. This is the glad tidings and good news given to us by the Holy Prophet ﷺ with regards these verses from the Quran which we recited at the start. Just like Jannah has been explained in the same way the Holy Prophet ﷺ has told us that to achieve this we must do as it is stated in the Quran: . وَبَشِّرِ الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا وَ عَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ This is for those people who believe and if you desire the permanent life of Jannah after Allah has given us short description for we can’t understand the reality of paradise. To achieve this we we just need to do one thing and that is to do good deeds, righteous deeds. So what are the good deeds? وَ عَمِلُوا .الصّٰلِحٰتِ These are deeds that will be accepted in the court of Allah, these deeds need to free from showing off/RIYA, that have sincerity, patience and endurance. All of these good qualities need to be in the deeds. So the deeds or amal that are accepted by Allah are called وَ عَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ. These will be deeds that have no pride, envy or jealousy but they will be filled with sincerity and goodness. How do we implement these deeds with the good qualities? Allah states that Jannah will be obtained via these righteous deeds so the crucial concern and worry we need to have is how do we fill these good deeds with the essential qualities which will be accepted in the Court of Allah. This is just like in our worldly dealings where we are have constant worries for example tests, exams, looking at the fiscal year, business, annual profits, how many houses have I got, how many do I need for children and what will we buy. Allah states that these are all temporary concerns/plans and the important planning should be for our permanent home in Jannah. We need to look at the minute detail and action plans of the hereafter where our deeds need to be sincere and are free from showing off and pride. How do we develop our deeds to get to that stage? Allah informs us in the Quran the method so we can have these deeds:

وَمَنۡ يُّطِعِ اللّٰهَ وَرَسُوۡلَهٗ فَقَدۡ فَازَ فَوۡزًا عَظِيۡمًا‏

Subhan’Allah. Allah states that by obeying my orders via Sunnah and Shariah of the Holy Prophet ﷺ you will be successful. Subhan’Allah. This clearly answers our question on which righteous deeds are accepted by Allah. Indeed these are the deeds that are implemented in accordance with the Sunnah and Shariah of the Holy Prophet ﷺ. This is the clear message that Allah is giving, from the start of the Quran Allah is stating that Jannah is for those people who follow the Shariah and Sunnah of my Habib. There should be no deed in your life against the Shariah, whatever the Shariah tell us we must implement that deed. This is the biggest test in this world and the challenge for the human beings my friends. Allah’s Nabi has given us good news, what a brilliant after life, that the world is temporary, it will end, there is no carry on forever and the real, permanent and on going life is in the hereafter. By doing righteous deeds in this world you are preparing for the hereafter. Allah will give all these rewards that we have discussed as in gardens with rivers flowing, wives/companions/maidens, beautiful trees, luxury, mansions/palaces, people will be sat in their gardens talking to each, drinking the pure form of alcohol, beautiful young servants serving glasses. There will be no drunkenness, a nice feeling where everyone will playing with each other. This will just like friends who get together have a laugh, good time and socialise. This is what will happen in Paradise, beautiful social gatherings, there will be no animosity, envy rather there will be love and compassion. There will be a tree in Jannah upon whose branches will have attached 70,000 different dress/attire, he will point and he will have it upon his body. A bird will come cooked and roasted, on one side there will be soup and the other will be meat. The person will invite his friends and when the meal has finished the bird will come to life again and fly away. Subhan’Allah this is Jannah those things which we can never comprehend nor can we understand. Allah informed the angels that I am going to make a world upon which human beings will be sent and in response the angels said we can’t understand this. This is just like now when Allah is telling us about paradise, can anyone imagine a tree that within it will come fruits, food, birds and clothes/attire. My friends this life is just for few days, we should do good deeds وَ عَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ the compulsory acts/Farz, we should focus on one action. Allah stated wa bashir wa nazir wherein the Holy Prophet gave good tidings and warned us. If we do not listen to this then it will lead to severe consequences and total regret. We must suppress the nafs and ensure our actions are in line with the Shariahand Sunnah. Lets say we are 30, 40, 50,70 years old but even if we have realised today we can do a sincere Tawbah and promise to live our life in accordance with the Shariah and Sunnah then Paradise is awaiting for this person. Even the lowest part of Jannah has such beautiful description as in 70,000 angels serving and such fantastic Palacaes which will be decorated with every luxury beyond our imagination. We have to imagine the highest level of paradise where we can have the vision of Allah in the morning and evening. Does it make any sense at all to incur the punishment of Allah for the sake the impure desires of this world, immodesty and all the temporary enjoyments/pleasures of dunya. In Paradise Allah will ask for music to be played, Subhan’Allah, who will Allah first invite? The first one to be invited will be Hadhrat Dawud عليه السلام
and Allah will ask him that I want to you to recite such a Hamd/Praise that you have not recited before with your beautiful and melodious voice. Hadhrat Dawud عليه السلام
will say I do not have such a beautiful voice to recite in your presence. Allah will respond O Dawud the voice I gave you you in the Dunya was so melodious that the birds would join you, the mountains would do the dhikr of Allah, during recitations of the Book of Allah the entire universe and creation would join Hadhrat Dawud عليه السلام. Hadhrat Dawud عليه السلام will then recite and every tree and leaf in paradise will dance and swing with the melodious voice. Further the all the inhabitants of Paradise will fall unconscious to the Hamd of Dawud عليه السلام
If me and you are there we can think about this, you will be there but I am worried about myself. Why is this? This is due to this dirty impure dunya where we listen to the filthy music and singing. Allah has given us two choices here, dirty impure choices or pure choices. If we leave the impure things after a short time we will have the pure choices. This will not be suddenly as we need to go through the examination of life. This is a trial, just like we prepare for exams in the dunya, we study and revise for a year or several years. This includes practical and theoretical examinations and then we get the result. In the same way this trial is also 15, 25, 30, 50, 60, 70, 80 years, this is not a long time at all and suddenly a person disappears. During this time of life we have to make an effort and we can indeed achieve this from this gathering. So we should always follow the way and requirement of Allah and live our life according to the Holy Prophet ﷺ. We need to ask a question every second with regards our actions whether it is permissible or not in Shariah. The shaytaan will not allow us to have this standard or criteria of life as he wants us to follow our desires and do what we want. Has the Shariah given us permission to go to the masjid, or do such a deed, for every action we must ask this question. This is Shariah, so when the Holy Prophet ﷺ states that after the Farz of Fajar prayer you are not permitted to make prayer till the sun rises, makrooh times, zawal time so at noon you cannot pray Salah as Shariah has said it is not permissible. So, it will be a sin to go against any of these rulings and Allah will not accept such worship. In the same way how can Allah allow the sins, these are two opposite things, Allah has mentioned in the Quran and spoken about Jannah and Jahannam, Allah started with good news and warning then showed us the scenes of Paradise. The believer will get all of this, beautiful pure water and also tasty alcohol, drinks, imagine the plants, the vegetation, the water the person will drink, we cannot there will be no impurity, no distaste, special and specific fermented alcohol will gush forth from the fountain that will be given to a person to taste so that he realises this is pure from Allah with fragrance, beautiful taste. This is not the alcohol of this world which is distasteful and smells horrible rather it will be fragrant, beautiful smell from the alcohol. In other words, we cannot comprehend the beautiful things, the containers from which we will drink the alcohol, which material will they be glass or silver, the description we have been given, a bowl or container Subhan’Allah. The fountains, drinks and the beautiful handsome servants who will present the alcohol will like diamonds, pearls, shining like pearls. They will be walking around and come and present to you the luxuries of paradise. The beautiful fragrance of kafoor will come from the alcohol. Everything will be according to the desire of the person of Jannah, whatever he desires will take place immediately. Allah will give the people of Jannah wands of gold, wherever they move them or whatever they require will be attained instantly. Whatever purpose or in the way they move the gold wand, they beckon something it will come to them straight away. Brothers this is a brilliant understanding we have been given. In addition to this Hadhrat Abdullah Ibn Masood رضي الله عنه narrates a Hadith in which the Holy Prophet ﷺ states that when the glass/bowl is presented his wives will be with him, after they drink he will say did you see, his wife will say this is a unique alcohol you have just drank, as soon as you drank the alcohol in my eyes you became 70 times more handsome. This is a narration from a great companion of our Holy Prophet ﷺ. The wife will also be presented the drink, when she has had the drink the husband will be amazed that her beauty will also have enhanced 70 times more than prior to drinking. My Brothers there is so much to discuss and learn about Jannah, Allah has given us this knowledge via the Holy Prophet ﷺ. If our heart trembles from Jahannam and rejoices in the knowledge of Jannah, these are the two choices. May Allah give us a beautiful Jannah and we only have to certain duties like praying Salah on time, Zikr in abundance, as we stated from the hadith that all the fruits of Jannah and brilliance will come from
This tasbihat we recite Alhamdulillah, the reality of this will be visualised in Jannah but it must be read with sincerity and free from sins. Zikr is a fantastic assistance, all of Jannah will be manufactured from the Zikr of Allah. If I inform you are more hadith with regards Zikr, we will go over the prescribed time. For example

In the future we will discuss on what these kalimat will become in Paradise. Have passion, desire and yearning for Zikr and ask for the highest status in Jannah. In the morning and evening the veil between our Rabb will be removed. What a great feeling that will be when Allah himself will allow the inhabitants of Jannah to hear the music and melodious music of Hadhrat Dawud عليه السلام
and the people will become unconscious, this will be for many years
