DARS 13

وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ لَا تُفْسِدُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ قَالُوا إِنَّمَا نَحْنُ مُصْلِحُونَ
The Quran, every page of it, rather every line, rather every word, is a treasure, is valuable, is precious and filled with guidance.

But Allah subhana wa ta'ala has in the beginning of the Qur'an, in the initial part of the Qur'an, first and foremost, the most importance has been laid on this point and with regards to that, from the begining, Allah Ta'ala has explained the importance. The foundation of the human being is his Aqidah, his belief to be correct, to be in the right way. Just like a building, if we take a building, the robustness and solidity of a building is in its foundation. Whether we make 1 floor, 2 floors, 5 floors. But the foundation must be good, strong. If the foundation is weak, isn't correct and we construct a building upon it, the foundation will stand for a while but when a strong gust of wind will come, or slight storm arrives, then that building will collapse, it will drop. This is because it's foundation was not correct.
Hence, Allah ta'ala in the beginning of the Qur'an, the emphasis that Allah has placed on this point, which we need to pay attention to, is the Aqidah for the human being. Because reading the Qur'an without the right belief, the right ideology and the right mindset, results in the Quran itself rejecting that person.

Just like the Qur'an has stated that there are many people who I take towards misguidance. They read but they head towards misguidance. The reason for this is that their foundation was not correct, so their imaan dropped.
The more a person's belief is strong and correct, the more easy and simple it is to act and implement the Qur'an.
In these verses the most important subject which we should always keep in mind, because further, the Quran explains the depth and the detail of these things. Through examples.

For example, to measure everything , you need to use a measurement gauge. You're going in a car, there are different gauges. The petrol gauge, is it high or low? What is the level of the petrol ? Engine oil - there is a dipstick and you measure the height of the oil level. Washing machine there are gauges instruments - which level is it pointing at. One is provided with an estimation.

Take any machinery, anything that is running. There Is a system, a measurement tool, observation, window, gauge, that informs you how it is running.
If we consider a thermometer to measure the temperature of a human being; it has 3 positions. If we take basic thermometers, we can use it to measure a mild, normal or a high temperature with that.

So to determine the position of our belief (Aqidah), when a person goes infront of the Qur'an, to analyse his desires and his understanding. Allah says to measure your nafs,

You're reading the Qur'an, we are not reading for each other, I'm not reciting for you. This is the human who reads Quran for himself. To analyse himself, to reflect upon himself, that he should recognise the reality of what the Qur'an is explaining, are the good things present within me? Are the bad things present within me? So the thermometer, the measurement gauge is present to measure our Aqidah, to measure our status and level of imaan. There is thermometer which is the orders of Shariah. The Quran tells us - Shariah.

Yes, when a person applies the thermometer of Shariah to his life, it explains the position of one's imaan. Which position? Because the thermometer for a believer is Shariah. As soon as we apply the thermometer to ourselves and measure our imaan, there will be 3 categories.

In the beginning, Allah says there are 3 categories. As soon as you apply the thermometer of Shariah.
1) Who are those people who accept Allah ta'ala's orders and instructions of the Prophet صلي الله عليه وسلم and his Shariah?

2) Who are those who do not accept them?

3) Who are those who are floating in between.

There are three categories. So the thermometer has three positions. Three categories. For example a thermometer displays the temperature of no fever, mild fever or strong fever.
So when you apply the thermometer of Shariah to yourself, your Aqidah will be measured. So those who believed and practiced Shariah completely, they have complete and proper Imaan. Kaamil imaan. And who are these people? Siddiq, Umar, Uthmaan, Ali, all of the noble companions رضي الله عنهم. If you apply the thermometer of Shariah to them, it would go to the height, the needle would go to the top. This is because they accepted and embraced the Shariah of Rasulullah صلي الله عليه وسلم and implemented it. If there was a slight lack in anything, they would do Istighfar. They would seek forgiveness from Allah immediately. So, they fulfilled that condition of category number one for the thermometer.

The second category are regarding those who reject the Shariah and Allah ta'ala's orders. Who are they? The party of Abu Jahal. Abu Jahal and company. Who are those people?
The thermometer of Shariah highlights and exposes those people. Those who did not accept the orders of Shariah, they did not believe, they did not embrace, they did not want to know. Isn't it?

So we understand the Qur'an. I'm not giving Tafseer. This is not commentary. This is not technicalities. The honourable scholars who have spoken and explained the Qur'an to us, we are just sitting and discussing amongst ourselves, who is the person with true imaan, proper Aqidah. And if we have something lacking, a gap or deficiency, then may Allah ta'ala grant us the ability to fill that gap. That's it.

If Allah has given us the ability to do dhikr before that, Alhamdulillah such a great blessing. Another blessing Allah ta'ala is giving us; that we are sitting and understanding the Qur'an and observing what Allah ta'ala is instructing and ordering us to do. What is lacking in our life? What is the deficiency? Because we need to do dhikr of Allah. So before that we can assess whether we are believers when we engage in dhikr or which status is our imaan at? What is the thermometer of Shariah informing us? What is the temperature of our imaan before we engage in dhikr. So as soon as we apply the thermometer to ourselves, it will determine whether we are those who accept Shariah, kaamil, like Hadhrat Siddiq, Umar, Uthmaan Ali and the rest of the companions رضي الله عنهم or are we like the other people who reject it- Abu Jahal and party.

The categories emanated from the time of the Holy Prophet صلي الله عليه وسلم and will continue until the day of Qiyamah. Because the Qur'an exposed these groups from the beginning of Islam till the end of time, from alif laam meem till naas. These 3 things Allah will expose. Nothing else. Allah will highlight who are those who believe, those who don't believe and those in between. Remember, these 3 groups Allah speaks regarding them from the beginning until the end of the Qur'an.

So from now, before, until qiyamah, there are people even today, now, who have kaamil imaan. It doesn't matter what happens, they will not leave, discard, shun the Sunnah and Shariah of Rasulullah صلي الله عليه وسلم . No matter what test or challenge befalls them. They won't play games. They won't poke criticism. We can't criticise anyone. I need to anayalse myself, analyse and measure my own imaan. At what position does my imaan stand at? Am I in category 1, those who completely follow Shariah, Hadhrat Abu bakr, Umar, Uthmaan, Ali رضي الله عنهم. Are we in the party of the Sahabah Ikraam? Are we standing beneath their flag?

And those who play games, tricks, cunning, who do not accept nor believe. Whose party will they be in? Abu Jahal and company. And they will continue until Qiyamah. That group is present before us.
The third party will also continue until Qiyamah. Who are they? They are those people who are in between. What are they? They are those people who sit on the fence. They are neither the partridge, nor the quail. They have one leg here and one leg there. And they will continue until qiyamah. Three thermometers, three measurements, you can say temperatures. What was their belief? The Qur'an defines and we need to determine that the 3 groupings of people, we need to ask our nafs, our desires, we don't accuse anyone, we don't cristise anyone, we are reading the Qur'an for our own rectification (islaah) say SubhaanAllah! Say it loudly, SubhaanAllah! SubhaanAllah!

Because we are reading the Qur'an for ourselves. May Allah ta'ala rectify and correct our beliefs because shaytan and nafs continuously deceive us. They pinch us, trick us, divert us. They may steal our imaan. We don't know when they will steal our imaan. And today in this day and age Allahu Akbar, very close to Qiyamah I say that Imam Mahdi عليه السلام, it's just around the corner. The condition, the environment, what the Qur'an says, as if we are standing on the brink. If not today, tomorrow, we don't know when the changes can come and a fantastic change could come. So make Dua, we need to strengthen our Aqidah.
The 3rd group, in regards to them, the Quranic verse tells us:

وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ لَا تُفْسِدُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ قَالُوا إِنَّمَا نَحْنُ مُصْلِحُونَ

The 3rd group - those who float in between; who are on the fence, Allah has mentioned them in the Qur'an. Various names they have been given to the third grouping, not the believers, not the rejectors.
The 1st group of people, human beings are those who have complete kaamil imaan.
The second category, group of people are those who do not believe.
And the third grouping, Allah ta'ala has mentioned; وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ لَا تُفْسِدُوا
The third group, Allah says, they spread corruption, disorder throughout the entire world, and corruption (fasaad) spreads due to them. From the Prophet صلي الله عليه وسلم 's blessed generation until now, those who spread the most disorder, were these hypocrites (munaafiqeen). Allah has addressed them as Munaafiq منافق in the Quran, as well as decievers, and Allah says "those who spread corruption." So these are the descriptions of the 3rd group of people, those who float in between, sit on the fence. May Allah forgive. May Allah ta'ala grant us His generosity.
Yes, so who is this third grouping and what did they do?
1) They spread disorder, mischief and they also claimed, saying, قَالُوا إِنَّمَا نَحْنُ مُصْلِحُونَ
Allah says, "They said, we are only the peace makers."
"We are those who are spreading peace, we are saving people", they claimed.
"We are showing a simple path to people, an easy path to people. We say that we should have dunya/world and the religion too. We should have right and left combined. So can there be anyone better than us?"
But what does the Quran say?
وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ لَا تُفْسِدُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ
Allah says, these are those people in the world, when disorder spreads, when quarelling will spread, when disputes will spread, it will be this group who are actually responsible for all of the issues in society. Consider, that this group will actually be responsible - those whom the Quran have defined as hypocrites.
1, is the believer, 2, are those who disbelieve and 3, are those munaafiqeen, the hypocrites.
What did the hypocrites do at the time of the Holy Prophet صلي الله عليه وسلم? What were their habits? Allah says, "corruption, fasaad" They were complete corrupters, spreaders of disorder and mischief.
The first sign of the hypocrites was this, that they were slaves of their desires, passions, deep rooted passions. And their biggest problem was against the orders of the Shariah. The biggest issue and problem which the hypocrites had within their hearts was with the Shariah and Sunnah of Nabi صلي الله عليه وسلم and the orders and instructions of Rasulullah صلي الله عليه وسلم. They never accepted the orders of Rasulullah from their hearts. They will never accept the Prophet صلي الله عليه وسلم 's orders and practices in their hearts.
The greatest hypocrisy will be this; when they dont accept and embrace the Prophet صلي الله عليه وسلم 's orders, then what replaces that? It is the nafs that replaces that. The passions and the base desires overwhelm a person. And then he takes his own desires as the religion and his way of life in opposition to the instructions of Allah. When Allah orders something he says, "no no you dont need to do that, too difficult"
According to their desires, they replace Allah ta'ala's orders with their desires. This is the sign of the hypocrites.
And then what did the hypocrites used to do? They would side with those who don't have faith and with the muslims, and with those in between. They go to the people who don't have faith, join with them and then on the other hand, they go to the believers, and join with them. They wanted to keep friends with both sides, with the Ghair, rather they would have respect for those who didn't have imaan. They wanted to copy and imitate them. They loved to imitate them. They would give references of the people who don't have faith, that they are advanced, they are this and that. They would refer to them. Their hearts held them in high esteem. They would glorify them. "Look at them. This is better. This is what they do. Look how brainy they are. Look at their intellect and wisdom, they are advanced."
They would be impressed with things which are against the Shariah and the sunnah of Rasulullah صلي الله عليه وسلم - Those actions which are against Allah ta'ala's orders. They would prefer those things and in their hearts they will have Qadr, appreciation and value for those things which are against the religion. They imitate those things which are against the deen. They will be proud of their imitation. They won't just imitate, they will be proud of their imitation. Further, they will criticise and degrade. The Quran mentions the reality of those who spread corruption. The muffasireen mention the tafsir (explanation), I am not informing, the muffasireen have wrote all of this.

Every moment in their mind was one mission, to deceive the believers.
If they wanted to deceive anyone, they would deceive the people of imaan. To deceive the people of imaan and to side with the others, was thier objective.

And look, where do our brothers take shelter? If we consider today, when we get persecuted and face oppression in islamic countries, where do these people take shelter nowadays? You will understand what I am saying now.

To seek refuge and protection, they go to their shade.
Imitation, Naql, Following, this is their action.

There is an event here,
Hadhrat Hakim-ul-Ummah رحمة الله عليه has written an incident, I would like to present to you regarding the impact of Naql, imitation.
One who leaves the Prophet صلي الله عليه وسلم's orders and instructions and imitates and follows the strangers, Allah says such a person is a Munafq. A hypocrite. We do not accept this though do we? We don't accept this. No no no. Islam is not this and this. This is Nifaq. Hypocrisy.

Hadhrat رحمة الله عليه writes an incident in his Manfuzat writings that in Makkah tul Mukarramah, there was an aalim, it was about a scholar, he was a scholar of the time and he passed away. Hadhrat Hakim ul Ummah رحمة الله عليه has recorded this event. So after he passed away, he was being buried and obviously, Jannatul Baqi, there is a graveyard and it was in Makkah. So in Makkah he passed away so they took him to the graveyard. When they were burying him there, there will be a person who is there before that, that was the habit, so they allocate a grave. And if there is already a grave allocated, then they bury him somewhere else. Wherever they can find the allocation. So when they dug the grave before the Aalim when he passed away, so the other Aalim he passed away and they said "he is a scholar, so there is another aalim here already let's bury him next to the aalim who is already buried. Maybe he was a good scholar of that time." So he was going to be buried next to an aalim who had already passed away and been buried.
So, when they were digging the grave and when they dug the grave, he saw a weird thing. Instead of the Aalim, a Eurpoean woman was laying there. He was shocked and amazed, "what's this?"
Just some time back, he was aalim sahib he died, he was buried here, where has this woman come from? How has a European woman come here? Different looks, a non Muslim doesn't usually get buried here. So he was a bit surprised. The scholars convened, thinking, fiqr, concern,
What is the reason for this? They analysed and investigated.
"Whoever imitates a nation, then he is from amongst them."
Rasulullah صلي الله عليه وسلم said, "whoever imitates somebody else he will rise with them." Become like them. So they investigated went to his home, asked his wife, that "your husband, he was a big scholar, he was good, what was his action? Did you see him do any action in his life, something that could cause this?"
She said, "No."
He was establishing his Salah punctually. He would do everything. Look, these are the points regarding hypocrites.
We take these to be stories but what is present in the Quran and Hadith are facts.

So they were analysing, investigating and they said to his wife, "think." She said, "yes there was one small habit, let me explain that to you. Whenever we used to sleep in the night and in the morning Ghusl was compulsory upon him, so in the winter he used to say from his tongue, from his mouth. The other people from other religions it is easy for them, they dont have to have a bath do they. It is hard." She said sometimes he would say this from his mouth." They said, "that's it, end of story."
He didn't implement the act, but he deemed it as something good with his tongue. He said, "at least those religions are let off, they dont require to have a bath. In our Shariah we are not excused."

To speak against any of the Prophet صلي الله عليه وسلم 's points, explanation or action like that, all his knowledge and his status is gone and in the grave , "whoever imitates a nation, will become from amongst them", he will get the treatment. He will be raised with those whom he imitated.

And Allah has given the proof that look, his appearance was changed to whom he preffered. The Madhab, Religion he preferred. He was changed to resemble them. "Whoever imitates a nation will become from amongst them."

So this incident is recorded, Hadhrat Hakim ul Ummat رحمة الله عليه shared this event. Obviously there will be a date of this fact but I can't remember at this moment. So, who says this?
The Quran says these are those who spread corruption and mischief and they appreciate those people, they mix with them, they accept their way. This started from the time of the prophet صلي الله عليه وسلم till now and we need to analyse ourselves now on this point.

These are the words of the Holy Prophet صلي الله عليه وسلم , let us analyse our imaan.
Regarding the 3rd grouping, the Quran says, the Muffasireen have explained this point, that the 3rd thing, you know they say afterwards, "no no." The Quran has said that when you tell them to look at their actions, that you are sitting on the fence, you are mixing the deen, you are spreading disorder." They say " إِنَّمَا نَحْنُ مُصْلِحُون , We aren't mischief makers. No no, we are only peace-makers"

So the 3rd action they do is that they create doubts and differences within Nabi صلي الله عليه وسلم 's orders of Shariah. So those people who have weak belief, you know how there are people with weak belief, hypocrisy is present within them and they seek to find a scholar who will present an easy solution for them so they can avoid this - "Oh you can do this, it's fine, its permissible." This is widespread today. They go to one Imam, then another Imam, then thirdly they go to a mufti. They seek to find a mufti who from his mouth, will permit them. "It's fine, it's fine, you are permitted to do it." Ready made maslah's off the shelf today.
If we have gone to one aalim for Mashwarah/Consultation and he has researched and informed you of everything, then what is the need to go to another aalim? Maybe I might get the answer I desire from there.
In today's society we see that various households, families are living today who are doing zina. The divorce has taken place, it is a permanent divorce, 100 percent confirmed divorce, they have uttered "divorce" three times from their mouths but they are looking for a mufti, a scholar, a solution, a way out, money, pay someone in written form. They will make someone say "no no it is fine, you can give sadaqah, you can do such and such thing, enable someone else to perform Umrah and your matter will be okay." And like this many households are living whilst in the state of Zina.
Will death not come? Will death not come? Tell me.They close their eyes and blindly follow saying, no no no this Molana sahib has said to us it is fine, this molana sahib has said to us it is fine." They present a fatwa from somewhere or another and there any many households, couples that are living like this; their divorce is confirmed but they are living together.

What a massive punishment, zina, every second zina.
Weak in imaan - they are tricked, deceived, lured. And when those people who lured them are told, "you are spreading mischeif." They say, "no no we are doing good things. We want ease and simplicity in deen so people do not experience hardship, so they can practise." And such ideologies, modern thinkers and advanced modern people, such titles today and today we are in the age of media and that is why the pious predecessors said, "beware! It is such a dangerous generation."
If you want to correct your belief, because deen is based on belief, so dont fall into this trap of wanting to increase one's knowledge, you go to different Ulamah, you listen to different Ulamah on different channels and speeches. "He gives a good speech." "He has achieved." "He gives good points." "He is eloquent." "You enjoy listening to him." "His status is very high" So and so Aalim, so and so's commentary." The pious predecessors said "beware, when you have arrived to one person and your belief has come to that person, you are benefitting from that person, then close all the other books, close all the other sources. Why? Because such people have weak beliefs and shaytan attacks that person and they attack his imaan. Because you quickly embrace scientific proof and he confuses you, such people are sitting on social media, on platforms who claim that one may be excused from praying Jumuah, prayer may be decreased, wudu is decreased, Taraweeh has been finished. They have cancelled Masaail and they open up Quran and Hadith and try to disprove the deen. But today Shaytan, remember, whoever has not taken heed, Yes and I am a Shaykh and I am telling my mureeds, my students that if you are not careful with these deeds and you go to channels, listening to speeches, issues, reading Hadith, trying to learn sahih Bukhari shareef and this kitaab, going to this scholar, learning this Maslah from here and nowadays Alims and alimahs are made online, they teach us this and they teach Arabic language. For the sake of Allah, protect your beliefs. This is a generation of corruption, remember this. And this third group of hypocrites have spread around the world. The Quran challenges us. In the beginning, the Quran says strengthen your belief, your aqidah. The Quran has given us the total prescription. Line by line. Save yourselves from these people. If you don't save yourself, if today your Aqidah is good, you do Dhikr and you accept your Shaykh, and you follow his guidance, but if you don't listen to my advice and you continue reading kitaabs and listening, watching channels, sitting with other groupings, listening to them, such a maslah will come to you, such an attack on your weak belief that you will be deceived and taken off the tracks. They write, they give dawah and sit with big kitaabs. May Allah forgive. Such masaail and solutions they present, they have spoilt the deen. The deen cannot be spoilt, it can never be changed. Today there is a group present whom Allah has defined as Munafiq, liars and Faasid, those who spread disorder. They present themselves outwardly to be Muslim but they are not Muslims and this group is continuously present from the time of the Prophet صلي الله عليه وسلم.
Allah ta'ala has prepared a system for this too. There will be such Awliyah Allah present who will continue until the day of judgement who will save our Aqidah from these people.
Yes, so will you leave such company and listen to these people and sit in their gatherings? With sternness, our pious elders have forbidden to do such when going to the gatherings of others.

Our Hadhrat, My hadhrat said to me, first and foremost in that letter, "Beware, dont go to other people's gatherings"
Because a person is weak and nafs seeks excuses, "there is benefits for me here"
Hadrath says do this, do that. He is saying it is okay I will show you a hadith and they will show you a hadith, he will read the hadith. "I have the knowledge, I know everything, let's see what he can do, how can he challenge my knowledge." Wallahi shaytan will take you down. One guide. Have one guide. Select him and I have told you the method of selecting the guide. Make dua to Allah and Allah will select the guide for you. You cant select the guide because if you select it yourself you will be deceived. Assign it to Allah, Oh Allah you grant me a guide. And he will direct you to such a guide. And when Allah takes you towards someone and you are sincere and your heart is satisfied and your heart accepts and then the hypocrite leaves that teacher. When he sees it's too hard and strict over here, many hypocrites have left me. Yes, the hypocrites have left me. They couldn't take it and accept the deen. They couldn't act upon the deen, they couldn't face it. That is the sign of the hypocrite.
One goes along with the Shaykh who is capable; the deen is given and he embraces it, he accepts it, he is steadfast on sunnah and shariah, he accepts happily. The person who leaves it, he is a hypocrite. Why? Why will he leave it? For this purpose, that it is too hard for him, too strict. "Oh no, no this is not easy deen, oh he's an aalim. He is a wali Allah, he is saying this is permissible to trim the beard, do this action. You always tell us to do Dhikr, Dhikr, I heard this from my ears. Good good brothers after learning lessons, how Allah ta'ala made them hypocrites.
I say, those whom after joining this silsilah, remember my words, Imaam Rabbani's words, Mujaddid Alf Thani رحمة الله عليه, said this, "He who has connected to my Silsilah, attached to my silsila, what does that mean? He who has taken bay'ah has entered into my Silsilah with a kaamil shaykh, he has taken bayah, who's authentic chain of Shaikhs reaches to me says Imam Rabbani رحمة الله عليه and he has attached himself with it and after attaching, he remained steadfast on it, then Allah ta'ala has given me inspiration that such a person is an inhabitant of paradise. And whoever leaves the silsila, rejects it without any reason, "Oh I dont feel like it, what is this, I dont know, I can't believe anymore, that love is not there anymore." Allahu Akbar. For that person what words shall I tell. The Quran says the words. These are those hypocrites, what would they do? Weak understanding, weak belief and the Orders of Shariah, they say to people, "I'll tell you an easier way, a way out, bypass this, leave this, shun this. We are showing you a way which is easy for you. And even that will be Deeni Islamic. You dont need to do this, do it this way. Look, Jumuah, where is it written, show us the Masaail, just read it at home with ease. Look, you have a business, shop. In those days there were no businesses like that. These are their words, the hypocrites. How they distort the religion, break the religion, the Quran tells us this. Why are they called corrupters? Because they would insert fasaad, disorder within the deen.

That group which does this action Allah ta'ala has explained until Qiyamah, that person who does this, Allah ta'ala has mentioned them. Who are those people?
وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ لَا تُفْسِدُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ قَالُوا إِنَّمَا نَحْنُ مُصْلِحُونَ

Allah says, look, stop, analyse them, you will see what action they do. They will shout out, "what are you doing, it's too hard, we are actually spreading the deen, we are propagating the deen, we are bringing the youngsters, we are teaching deen to the youngsters, come to our conferences. Youngsters come to our conferences and they change like this. Why? What change is that which they are claiming? They get even worse, spoilt. What is the change they are bringing? "No no, we have to go along with the generation, the day and the age. We can do this and that, do this and that." And they are bringing youngsters to the deen!? This is what they claim that, "we are progressed, we print the most books, publish the most books, publish the most leaflets."

Allah says, وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ لَا تُفْسِدُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ
Tell them, What are you doing? The rightly guided scholars are present, the Awliyah Allah are present. It's not that these people will end the Deen. This can never happen. It can never happen because Allah ta'ala protected His deen. So Allah ta'ala creates a Mujaddid in every era who stands with the flag of deen and he opposes and challenges them. And he calls the people to the deen, explains the deen. These are corrupters of deen, what is this you are saying ? Those who regard themselves as مصلحون , peacemakers "we are teaching the best deen. Look at how we are bringing the youngsters to the deen." Young men and women. You know there are circles, study circles, analysing, 5,6 women sit down, study circle, let's study this hadith. They open a hadith book and then they read the hadith. Tell me, is the hadith a novel? Is the Quran a fiction which you can merely sit and read and you will understand it. By studying without learning and understanding. "We are reading Sahih Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, we are understanding the hadith." Study circles have been established. مصلحون - the peace-makers. They are attaching all their wrong actions to the deen. Contaminating the deen, mixing the deen.
Allah says, وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ لَا تُفْسِدُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ قَالُوا إِنَّمَا نَحْنُ مُصْلِحُونَ
They say we are those who establish peace, we are spreading the deen, we are grabbing the youngsters and bringing them back towards Islam. Reviving Islam. "No no, we can do this sisters. We can sit and discuss this. Islam is not strict. There is no compulsion." Let me tell you, you live in this generation, I live in this generation. We all read. We all study. So we need to analyse, compare ourselves and if we want to protect our belief then the Quran says, I am explaining all the points to you. It's your duty to see this for what it is. Understand it. Who is right, who is left? Who is right, who is wrong? Understand yourself. If the Quran is saying such people are wrong, then indeed these peope are wrong who are changing the deen. No one until Qiyamah can change Allah's orders of Shariah. The Prophet صلي الله عليه وسلم has made a law of Shariah. A principle of Shariah. Hadhrat Umar رضي الله عنه couldn't change that, Hadhrat Uthman رضي الله عنه couldn't change that. The rightly guided Caliph's could not change that.
If I tell you the events, zakat, how Hadhrat Abu Bakr Siddiq رضي الله عنه stood up, how the Sahabah stood up. How could they change the deen? They said "Deen cannot be changed until qiyamah. The laws of Shariah cannot be changed. Yes, maybe you can understand and give commentary, but one cannot alter the deen. No normal person can provide commentary of the deen. Allah ta'ala has made for such people, a special brain, heart, Irfaan, knowledge, insight and Ma'rifah and closeness to Allah. Those people with Quran and Fiqh, Islamic Judisprudence, they can understand the laws of the Quran. Not any nornal man can sit there and give the commentary. How can we change the deen based on our thinking. And this change has turned into groups today. He says, "I'm totally fine. I will take you towards Allah." Weird claims. I am this and I am that. I will teach you muraqabah and in muraqabah, I will introduce you to the Holy Prophet صلي الله عليه وسلم. Is this the dawah without the deen? No beard, no appearance, no sunnah, no halal earnings, nothing. He says I will introduce you to the court of Rasulullah صلي الله عليه وسلم in Madinah, just now, come with me, I will introduce you to the Prophet صلي الله عليه وسلم. Come with me, visions, dreams, sit with me in Muraqabah. So Tasawwuf has been spoilt. Masaajid have been spoilt. The commentary of the Quran has been changed. Hadith meanings, the pure meanings have been changed. And they say we are not corrupters. Allah explains to us; وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ لَا تُفْسِدُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ - Beware, how dare you. Allah says, you have one measurement gauge, one thermometer that you can measure the temperature with to see who is right, wrong or a hypocrite. There is only one thermometer and what thermometer is that? The thermometer of Nabi صلي الله عليه وسلم 's Shariah, his sunnah and that can never be changed.
"No no you can change it, we are living in this day and age, this era, you can change and bend." These are hypocrites. The Quran says it clearly. They are liars, they are corrupters and those who spread disorder. The Quran has used big terms for them. These people are the decievers, They deceive Allah and they try to deceive His Messenger صلي الله عليه وسلم. They try to decieve the believers. Allah has explained them with titles from the beginning so we can save ourselves. Allah's Nabi صلي الله عليه وسلم has clearly given us the plain simple truth.

Abdullah ibn Umar رضي الله عنه narrated, "Whoever has the following four characteristics, he will be a pure hypocrite."

I am reciting this hadith infront of you. The hadith uses the word, "Khaalis", pure, clear.

Abdullah ibn Umar رضي الله عنه was a very great Sahabi, lover of Nabi صلي الله عليه وسلم , he was a lover of the Sunnah of Nabi صلي الله عليه وسلم.

He says Nabi صلي الله عليه وسلم, said, "Whoever has the following four characteristics, he will be a pure hypocrite."

Here is the thermometer. My brothers listen to these things what I am saying carefully and analyse your self. This is not a speech. This is not a bayaan. This is discussion before Dhikr. Do we wish to go to Jahannam? Do we wish to remain hypocrites? Do we wish to deem ourselves Muslims, but in reality we are hypocrites within? Here the Prophet صلي الله عليه وسلم is applying the thermometer of his Shariah, which we need to apply to ourselves. What is the thermometer of Shariah?
There are 4 signs in a person. Whoever possesses these 4 signs in my thermometer, number one;
"Whoever has the following four (characteristics) will be a pure hypocrite and whoever has one of the following four characteristics will have one characteristic of hypocrisy unless and until he gives it up."

And if a person has these four signs he is a pure hypocrite. And if you possess one of these four signs, if you possess the character, then that will be one point of hypocrisy and if you have all 4, then you are hundred percent a hypocrite. If amongst these signs you have just one, then you possess signs of hypocrisy. He is not a true muslim as he has hypocrisy within him even if he possesses one sign.

So the first sign - "And when he is entrusted, he breaks the trust."
The first thing. Allahu Akbar. خيانة- Breach of trust. This is when one bestows trust to someone and he breached that trust.

Amanah, trust, is not just money. Trust is everything which you entrust to someone. If you give someone a responsibility, every person Allah has given a responsibility to. Remember this. In Society everyone has a responsibility. The wife children, they are responsible and the husband is responsible. And the biggest responsibility Allah has given us is Imaan. Belief. So a person who breaches trust is not that someone gives you money and you consume it. No. Trust has come from Allah and His Rasul صلي الله عليه وسلم.
The rights of society; If I am married and I bring my wife home, she is a trust which Allah has given to me and If I do not fulfil the rights of my wife, I am breaking/breaching the trust. If I am an employee, Allah makes me an employee and I am not working correctly, then I have been given a responsibility, a title for example. My Shaikh has given me a responsibility and I am skiving or not completing my responsibility, then such a person is a hypocrite. This is the first sign of hypocrisy.
The second sign, "When he speaks he lies"
He lies like flowing water. We need to analyse ourselves. The society around us is based on lying, whether it is business, home, shop, workplace, earning through lying, signing and taking money, claiming falsely. All claims are false. What can I say. Which people are they, upon which level and status? Kaathib. I cannot even explain to you what status these people hold, yet they claim falsely and consume money. Haraam. They claim falsely and they consume haraam. Lying standing, lying sitting, clothes are lying, businesses are lying. From their tongue the lie emits.

One lie is such, that the one who lies, the angels run away thousands of miles due to the stench of his lying. That's how bad the smell is. So where will his Amal, his practice remain? Hajj is a lie, Umrah is a lie, Quran recitation is a lie, eating is a lie, we're eating haraam.

House on rent and we sign that we don't have any income. The shops are running and we say we don't have income. Claiming. We are working and we have got the wages and we are lying that I have no income.
People, Deendaar practicing people, not small scale people. The society tells us place the thermometer to yourself regarding what is a hypocrite. How much am I a hypocrite and how much am I a believer?

The third sign of a hypocrite; to break one's promise. "Oh leave it" look in the society how many people break promises today. That's the thing.

The forth sign, "Whenever he quarrels, he behaves in an evil insulting manner."
If he argues with someone at home, outside, first mother and sister swearing, he doesn't see if his son has grown up, young, old everything. They have made their faces, appearances, they've got all the practice and such wretched swearing sitting at home. Little bit of a mistake by the son and the father is swearing at the son, the daughter and to the wife. Forget about outside matters. The words that come out of their mouth when they speak are wretched and abusive and they think this is love. They swear at their children and say this is love. "no no this is love." So they express their love through swearing. "Oh you so and so, oh you such and such." This is love with the child?

So these are the four signs and if anyone has all of them then he is a hundred percent hypocrite. If he has one of these signs, then he has a sign of hypocrisy within him and he will see the consequences of hypocrisy.
So my brothers, Quran tells us the truth. We need to measure our imaan, analyse our imaan. Aqidah. Allah is making our belief. Until we judge ourselves whether we have hypocrisy within us or not? Am I a corrupter? Am I a hypocrite? So this is our duty - to analyse our souls. And after we do this, if we recognise deficiencies and sins, then no problem. Present yourself to Allah, bow down, repent to Allah, swear to allah, make a promise. Allah is watching and seek a Shaikh. Do your islaah, Self rectification through a teacher, Wali Allah. For that we need also, that's another topic - that you can't take bayah with everyone. If you've got hundred mureeds, students, I'll tell you, there will be one student from them who will be travelling among the path properly. Thousands, but even then you try your best but his needle comes back to hypocrisy. It's amazing! Such a generation we are living in that despite comming for Islaah, the rectification doesnt take effect. Why? Because they dont have the pure intention for reformation. They dont have the intention. No problem. Have courage, determination, try. Alhamdulillah. Correct your intentions. This is why Allah ta'ala makes us read, discuss the Quran so that we can learn and remove our deficiencies. Otherwise, clearly the Quran is saying that doesn't matter how externally you may deceive and show externally, you can have worship, do what you want. But Allah ta'ala has made a law, a principle, that you are a hypocrite, you will stay as a hypocrite as Allah's Messenger صلي الله عليه وسلم has explained these four signs to us. In the grave, and we know the event in the grave which I shared with you. They say, "Islam is strict." Islam is not strict. Allah ta'ala is so merciful that He presents us advices from the Quran before our death, so we can rectify ourselves. May Allah ta'ala grant us the ability. Ameen.
