Allah's pleasure is the biggest objective of a believer, this is our destination. All the rewards of the hereafter are based on Allah's pleasure. All life long a believer tries to please Allah. He tries his best by worshipping so Allah may become pleased. Allah has given the method to attain his pleasure. Very seldom we ponder or advance towards that specific worship. The greatest path towards Allahs pleasure is a man's character and social conduct. With Allah's creation, a person has a connection. To attain Allah's pleasure everything is acquired via this path. If a person is a worshipper and a zaahid but his character is not good, then he fails. Hadith are present regarding this.
And if a person doesn't perform much worship and just fulfils the compulsory actions and sunnah and he doesnt strive beyond that in regard to nafil acts, but his mannerism and conduct is good and very high, then in the hereafter such a person will be successful with a high status.

Hadhrat Tamim Dari رضي الله عنه narrates that the Prophet صلي الله عليه وسلم stated in the company of the Sahabah, that " deen is about doing good actions."

The Prophet صلي الله عليه وسلم mentioned a few words and within this the whole of deen was presented. This is such a complete word with regards to goodness and the link to the creation of of Allah. To do good, to act well, to treat others well, to have good intentions with others. All of this come under good manners. It doesn't mean if you're related to someone or you're connected to someone through business so you only do this with these people. No. Rather is this a very broad subject. With every person we should do good. We should have positive relations with every person. Allah says if a person has the desire to do this and he always thinks good for others and treats them well, then he is the beloved person of Allah. The one who keeps good relations and thinks good of someone - for example , if you know one is distressed, you should be so pure inside that you think compassionately for that person. Today, if we know someone is Ill or has had an accident, we say "they deserved it' and we are happy of their calamity. This is the negativity we have towards the person we know! But deen teaches us we must treat well those we know or not. If you hear one is in trouble or in need you should feel sympathy within you even if you dont know this person. When you have the desire to help such a person and experience the feeling of goodwill and assistance, then this person is full of light as he thinks positively. This is called goodwill.

Look at our society, we dont even have the first step towards goodwill! All life long we can stay in the masjid and perform different worships. But have we ever advanced to assist someone? The lowest level example of this which every human can implement is, if you've heard someone has had an accident, in your heart you should feel for him and you should include such a person in your prayers. This is your internal beauty demonstrating its effect. When a persons soul is beautiful and clean then they experience this emotion of sympathy and they pray for the distressed.
Dua for a believer is a great tool. We may not be able to help someone physically but the minimum thing we may do is pray for him. Only he can do this who's inner soul is correct and clean - the one whom the colour of the Dhikr of Allah has rubbed upon.

My Hadhrat sahib would say, "you need to allow the colour of Dhikr and its effects to rubb off you." Your internal self should be improved, your internal conduct should be great and you should have sympathy and shed tears for others. This is the effect of Dhikr and the effect of sitting in the company of the Awliyah Allah.

The greatest reward is that Allah will be pleased with you with this worship and your spiritual levels will increase.

All the sahabah were the shining stars in the sky. Nabi صلي الله عليه وسلم said, " whichever star you follow you will reach success"
Regarding some sahabah, the Prophet صلي الله عليه وسلم explained specific unique statements about. So Abu Darda رضي الله عنه was one of them. He was a great devotee like a sufi. He was given the title Hakim ul Ummah. What a great status this companion had and the knowledge and wisdom.

Hadhrat safwaan رضي الله عنه had a relationship with a great sahabi. He was the son in law of Hadhrat Abu Darda رضي الله عنه
If he wasnt connected in this way he wouldn't be mentioned but with this connection he was mentioned. So this is Allahs faiz that if you are connected and are close with a great person, then this is a great ni'mah and fadl of Allah and a person should be grateful for this.

Syria is the country of the correct devotees and sufis of islam. so Abu dardahرضي الله عنه and his wife Umm darda رضي الله عنها - she was a very pious companion like her husband. So when Hadhrat Safwan رضي الله عنه went to see his in laws, by chance his father in law Abu darda رضي الله عنه wasn't at home so his wife was there and they began talking. When her husband returned, Umm darda رضي الله عنها asked her son in law, "do you have any intention for Hajj this year and Hadhrat safwan رضي الله عنه replied, "yes I do have an intention to perform hajj this year" and his mother in law replied, "when you go please make good dua for goodness for us."

She mentioned a hadith that the prophet صلي الله عليه وسلم stated "whenever a Muslim prays for his fellow Muslim brother in his absence then Allah accepts that dua."
This is guaranteed acceptance SubhaanAllah!
Allah appoints an Angel for the one who does dua and when he supplicates then the Angels say, "oh Allah give this person whatever he is supplicaitng for his brother." The angels say "I am praying for this person who is supplicating, oh Allah you also give him this good effect."
So Allah accepts this dua for the one who supplicates too.

This is goodwill and how did this reward come about? He had the passion of having goodwill for his brother via the action of dua. So deen is to carry out good gestures.

How much good do we think of others. We think and speak negatively, we are happy about other's pain and suffering and we laugh upon their problems. Imagine how many Angel's must be cursing that person. In contrast when you pray for a person the Angels pray for him!

We always hear situations where so and so's child is disobedient, so and so has had an accident, so and so is quarelling. we always hear this so why do we leave this opportunity when we make dua.
Our dua will be accepted, Allah will be pleased with us and an angel will be appointed to pray for us and this will be a means of our success in the hereafter. And the prayers we make for protection, Allah will protect us from the negatives.

May Allah swt give us the ability to do this.
May Allah purify our inner souls and may the company of our Sheikh bring about the full effect of goodwill within us! Ameen
