There are different types of lands around us. Some are fertile and afterwards though, they could become barren.
Those peices of earth where there used to be vegetables or fruits, they become barren over time and not even one flower is capable of growing there.
And it is He Who sends the winds as heralds of glad tidings, going before His Mercy (rain). Till when they have carried a heavy-laden cloud, We drive it to a land that is dead, then We cause water (rain) to descend thereon. Then We produce every kind of fruit therewith. Similarly, We shall raise up the dead, so that you may remember or take heed.
(Al-A'raf, verse 57)
Allah speaks of His Mercy and how He changes the situation. Allah sends the winds and breeze as a mercy and in this cool breeze, Allah's mercy is hidden.
Due to the flow of the wind, the cloud gather and move. The direction of the clouds are sent to where Allah directs it to rain upon the earth.
Allah says I drive those clouds towards the dead land by descending water. That land is thirsty for water and it receives the water from the cloud. That same barren land which even the animals could not graze upon, with Allah's mercy, He causes the rain to fall upon it and then this dry infertile land begins to produce vegetation.
This is Allah's way and it's not difficult for him to bring the dead to life. Even if its humans. These are signs for us to take heed with.
Allah has given the example of a dry barren land which had lost its original form and shape. When Allah's mercy comes into being, he makes such land become alive.
My friends with this example Allah is making us understand that when those hearts are dead, Allah's help comes and He sends the cool breeze of tasawwuf.
Just like Allah sends the winds with clouds producing rain, in the same way, when Allah sees that the hearts are dead, (the humans are living but it's like they are dead,) when the shariah is finished, when the Prophet صلي الله عليه وسلم 's sunnah is not being practiced and the Quran is made a mockery of, then Allah's mercy comes into being.
And then to those places and environment where these loss have occured, such clouds are sent. Allah sends His friend - his Wali to that environment where deen is lacking.
Just like where there is dead barren land, Allah revives that land, in the same way Allah's technique and sunnah is that in which environment the deen and the hearts are finished, Allah sends a specific wali of Allah of his, after generations!
Allah gives permission for that wali to go there and with the comming of the wali Allah, all of humanity is awakened the deen is revived and all the Sunnah returns.
Mujjadid Alif thani رحمة الله عليه came 1000 years after the Prophet صلي الله عليه وسلم came to world and he had a unique rank amngst the Awliyah Allah. No wali Allah in history has this title that he was given. This was Shaykh Ahmad sirhindi farooqui sahib rahmatullahi alayh.
The people had created their own deen in India at the time. Knowledge and everything was there but their priorities had changed. They hid the truth. And he was sent to revive.
Today people discard and shun the Sunnah. Many speeches and marches are performed to hide the path of the sunnah. This is the trickery of shaytan in such a time and age. Allah sends the rain as mercy. He sends His wali who revive the deen throughout the whole of that era. That is Allah's special mercy on the humankind.
After the Prophet صلي الله عليه وسلم left the world, the Awliyah Allah continued his work according to his way and methodology. Allah will continue to send the Awliyah Allah until qiyamah. Allah sends the Awliyah allah with His pleasure and His selection. Allah orders them which specific land to go to.
When the wali of Allah reaches such a land you witness the revival with your eyes! SubhaanAllah
What does the wali Allah teach and spread?
The real message of the Quran which is obedience and following the sunnah of the Prophet صلي الله عليه وسلم.
The birth of a wali Allah is unique, his style and mannerism is unique.
Hadhrat khawaja Moinuddin Chishti rahmatullahi alayh was from the middle East from arab lands, he didn't know he would go to the Indian subcontinent to such a land where there was disbelief.
To remove kufr is easy but where there is bidaat- innovatary practices and with a so - called title held as a Muslim, to remove that custom and tradition is very difficult.
One may combat kufr with explanation etc
But to guide and change the mindset of those people who claim to be muslim yet follow the wrong deen, is difficult.
The wali Allah who is sent to them must be a kaamil wali. This is a great challenge for a wali Allah.
In such an age where shariah is totally not visible and a new deen arises then it's not a small scale wali Allah that comes. It's a wali Allah like mujjadid alf thani rahmatullahi alayh that comes.
You may give a message to the disbelievers to become muslims but to change muslims into real muslims is very hard. For example removing bidah from their heart and making them habitual in shariah and to create love and esteem in their hearts for the Prophet صلي الله عليه وسلم 's sunnah.
So when a wali comes to a generation in such an era, then he comes with a fantastic message and he does brilliant work and he is a kaamil wali Allah!
There is a situation in parallel:
There are 2 types of people.
1) those who value and appreciate such a leader and wali Allah
2) those who deem him to be minor and insignificant/ small scale.
The era of a wali Allah in which the sunnah of the Prophet صلي الله عليه وسلم is revived and people are practising it and the wali Allah changes these people and their lives. This is a great revival and revolution!
The history will bear witness that alhamdulillah Allah has sent a great mercy to this earth. So my friends, Allah has given us the taufeeq and we should value and appreciate these people.

When Mahdi عليه السلام comes he will do the same work. He will revive the sunnah and shariah and if you consider in this day and age there are different forms of deen. Every person is following his own interpretation of deen according to his ability. And all believe that he is on the true deen. No one understands the single path which is the path of the sunnah.
The high status Awliyah Allah, don't just turn unbelievers to islam, but even the so- called muslims, they revive their deen and improve them just like mujjadid alif thani rahmatullahi alayh did so.
May Allah open the internal eyes of our heart and give us the understanding and taufeeq that if we find a wali Allah in an era who gives dawah for shariah and sunnah which he practices himself and desires others to practise, then consider that these are the winds and breezes of glad tidings!
"And it is He Who sends the winds as heralds of glad tidings, going before His Mercy "
So this is the mercy of Allah raining upon our hearts in the form of Awliyah Allah.
When a kaamil wali Allah comes and people do not reform themselves and improve, then this is a warning and reminder. Allah has sent us clear proofs through a person, but we still didnt accept it and follow the deen. Infront of the eyes is the reality but he rejects that reality!
This is a strong sign that he has dug a hole, due to pride or love for the world.
The greatest miracle and the first effect of a wali Allah is that people's hearts which are dead and stained are made to come alive.
To revive a one's heart is a difficult task so this is the sign of a wali Allah.
We recite quran, become ulamah and scholars but we are distant from the sunnah.
There are only a few people who are grateful to Allah. They become proud and think they have high status but if they take a look back into their history, they were a dead barren land, until the Awaliya Allah came. When they come on the deen they begin to speak proudfully. So we should be grateful to Allah upon comming to deen.
When the Prophets of Allah عليهم السلام came, they too were rejected, so similar happens with the Awliyah Allah. Those who follow the truth and devote themselves to their teacher and they have steadfastness and regularity in their practice SubhaanAllah, then their hearts become alive and the fruits keep growing.
Alalh says 'Then We produce every kind of fruit therewith.'
From their hearts beautiful fruits of ma'rifah and nearness, understanding and Dhikr of Allah emits. They gain satisfaction and contentment in the dhikr of Allah and in the company of the friend of Allah.
A person is not self-made in this. A person cannot become a wali himself nor through his efforts.
This can only occur when Allah's special mercy and grace comes upon humanity. When Allah selects his servants for wilaayah then it is His choice. No one can decide for himself that he will do dawah because when Allah himself takes the assignment in his own hands then there's no one who can depend on himself to say such and such wali Allah should be a graduate, alim, he should have this much knowledge, he should know tajweed of the Quran. He should know Bukhari shareef.
Allah says, "not necessary!" When I select a wali allah then I prepare my wali and I send him on my standard and criteria. The greatest miracle is that he needs no special ilm, he does the direct work of Allahs deen that he revives the hearts of the people. This is the great work of the Awliyah Allah.
They have Quran, hadith & eveything at their disposal and toolkit, but they are not self- made. They dont become wali's themselves. Allah gives them that position and Allah gives that status and Allah assists that wali in his work.
The wali Allah never praises himself, he just wants to do the work of the deen and allah selects him for that. Allah says go and revive the sunnah and shariah of my Nabi صلي الله عليه وسلم.
So Allah makes the earth fertile so the wali Allah goes and grows the plant of Allah's name on the heart and then fruits grow.
Now you see their guidance being demonstrated through huffaz, purdah etc.
The wali Allah never attributes this achievement to himself. Wherever he is required to spread the deen, he continues to follow that instruction of Allah.
Where Quran needs to be presented, he presents it. Were hadith requires to be presented, he presents It. SubhaanAllah
Allah puts that inspiration into his heart whether it's a thousand people or 200 people 200 people sitting there. Whatever message Allah wants to deliver to the people, he doesn't open a book, rather Allah inspires him in his heart directly. Allah puts the special knowledge in his heart. Allah inspires the heart of a wali and places the message inside and via the Quran and the hadith he presents the knowledge and the barren heart becomes alive. This is Allah's objective through the teachings of the Awliyah Allah.
His task Allah explains clearly, that he is sent to revive that generation. We must value and trust this person.
There are many opposers to such a human being, because he comes to differentiate between truth and falsehood.
With the first foot he places on the earth, he faces opposition. Value the wali Allah who makes your heart alive and all fruits will come out from the heart.
Allah says love him and connect with him and have trust him. Lose yourself in that teacher.
The wali Allah are clouds raining down Allah's mercies. And he makes the heart revive with this mercy.
The drops of rain are the drops of shariah and sunnah and Quran. And when they fall upon the hearts that are dead, they become alive and then fruits of love and Allah's m'aarifat comes forth from their hearts.
We need 100% trust and commitment in this Wali Allah. We should Blindly follow. We need Taqleed and love and obedience in Allah if you want to revive your deen and receive faiz from Allah.
We should allow the rain drops to fall upon our hearts and allow this rain to send us to Jannah.
Anyone who opposes the wali Allah, is destroyed himself. When our hearts accepts that this person wali Allah, then we must understand that this is correct and not let shaytan give us negative thoughts against them.
May Allah swt allow to appreciate the True Gems of this Ummah in the form of the Awliyah Allah. May we love them and learn from them. Ameen
