Alhamdulillah today is the first night of jumuah in the month of shawwal. This is a blessed month and Allah has given us the opportunity to initiate with the Dhikr of Allah. We have left a very blessed month behind us and alhamdulillah, according to our individual capacity, we have spent that great month & we have hope in Allah's mercy that He will grant us the rewards.

Alhamdulillah every person will have attained taqwa as we have done that worship which lead to this conclusion. But be careful on one thing. Nafs (base desires) and shaytan are now released. They have very unique tricks and they are cunning, especially the nafs.
After exerting efforts, the nafs makes one lazy and tells him to rest after working hard. The nafs directs us in this way but it should never be this way. The method, is that after attaining the reward, a person should work even harder. So, remember the first and foremost thing which the nafs will make us laid back in, is salaah.

If our Salah results positively then the reckoning of the other deeds will be easy. We need to evaluate this point.

If our Salah is good, then the rest of our deeds, even if we lack in them, Allah will make them easy for us.

The first thing our nafs does is deceit. It makes us believe that we don't need to pray in congregation. It makes us delay our salaah.
A person has worked hard in Ramadan but we have the rest of our lives ahead of us. But nafs will try to makes us lazy. So be careful about this.
Destruction first comes through Salah so pay attention to your salaah.
Allah has stated in the Quran :

فَوَيْلٌ لِلْمُصَلِّينَ
(سورة المـاعون، الآيه ٤)

So woe unto those performers of Salat (prayers) (hypocrites),
(Al-Ma'un, verse 4

الَّذِينَ هُمْ عَنْ صَلَاتِهِمْ سَاهُونَ
(سورة المـاعون، الآيه ٥)

Who delay their Salat (prayer) from their stated fixed times,
(Al-Ma'un, verse 5)

We tend to perform our wudu incorrectly, splashes here and there. We don't adopt the preffered or sunnah actions and we rush it.

We delay our salaah, especially the womenfolk. So this is the meaning of the above verses.

We Peform all other duties especially the women. They tend to cook and have phonecall discussions and then they say, "we will pray after."

Allah has warned that if one doesn't do the ruku or sujood properly, they also fall under these verses.

We neglect the sunnah, let alone the nafil! Even when we stand in Salah our thoughts are somewhere else. The pious predecessors have told us methodologies to control our thoughts in Salah. We should control our heart and thoughts in Salah. When we say allahu akbar it means we have detached ourself from the world. The best Salah is in solitude where we have no thought that we need to do such and such task.

Womenfolk complain that their children cry while they pray Salah. Today I explained to a woman that it takes 5 minutes to pray a fard. Let the children cry, shaytan will try to divert you, but you must focus on your Salah. The child will notice that the mother is doing something important and not responding to them. They said we cant even do that.
I said to them, "Who has given you the gift? You are forgetting the lord due to the children. Allah gave the gift and you are forgetting the giver, due to the gift."
If you assign yourself to Allah and you pray Salah and the children are crying, then inshaaAllah after 2,3 days practice your child will stand and pray with you and say, "sssh mum Is praying."

But we don't seem to make effort for this. At Salah time we begin cook and say "oh my dish will be burnt." Allah says end all of this.

Don't destroy your salaah and control your thoughts. Allah will assist in this. When you pray you shouldn't think I need to do this and this. Complete each Salah with satisfaction.

Who is the worst thief?

We think the worst thief is the one who pickpockets and takes property and wealth.

But the worst thief who will receive the worst punishment are those who try to detach themselves from salaah.
Hadhrat Hasan رضي الله عنه asked, Oh Prophet of Allah صلي الله عليه وسلم how can theft be committed with Salah?"

Nabi صلي الله عليه وسلم replied, "theft with regards to Salah is when a person doesn't perform his ruku or sujood properly. He rushes it and doesn't complete his tasbihat in these positions.

We should supplicate to Allah in ruku and sujood! But we become theives and escape at this time

With depth and presence of heart, a person should pray.

If you want to prove that someone is a Muttaqi and has alot of zuhd, then observe his Salah. Those who don't care about congregation, where is their taqwa and their knowledge?
Who is this person deceiving?
Allah has given us one basis of success, which is Salah.

The best muhaddith, the best aalim, the best muttaqi, the best Shaykh, the best dhaakir, is that person who's salah is the best.

Allah said the best sign of a wali Allah is his Salah, you can see his glory in his Salah.

My Hadhrat Sahib, even in old age I never saw him sit and pray. He couldn't walk easily but his ruku and sujood and rakat were lengthy. So where did he get his strength?
Hadhrat umar rahmatullahi alayh was an aabid and zaahid. He was injured on his hand and had to have his hand amputated.
He said to the surgeon, " let me make niyyah for Salah and you can amputate me and remove my hand." The surgeons of that time said how can that be. He replied you do what you need to do and you'll have no disturbance. He intended for Salah and did wudu. After praying Salah, he asked "have you cut my hand?" And that was it. He never even realise the operation!
This is not a story. These people feared spoiling thier Salah!

We claim to have had prayed but our Salah but it is defect of attention, light, benefit and focus. Allah says you haven't even tried to improve your salaah. Allah is not asking for perfection, Allah wants to see how much we've tried to attain improvement.

Your salaah wil not even be regarded or considered if you haven't even tried.

Go to thier company who have the attention and satisfaction in their heart.
But today we have no respect for these people. We have no adab.

I swear by Allah the first action that affected me when I went to my hadhrat sahib was my Salah, it was affected positively. This is the glory of the friends of Allah.

Once i was doing wudu and I saw that behind me there was a circle of people around me. One of them was called Faqir Ahmad. And he was called "Faqira" by my Shaikh. (Now he has passed away) I said "what are you doing?" He said, "we are sat here doing your wudu, what a beautiful wudu it is!"
I didn't even realise and this was due to the company of my Shaikh!
This is what I learnt from my Hadhrat sahib. I learnt how to control my thoughts so my Salah doesn't get wasted. This is what we need to learn from the teacher.

The prophet صلي الله عليه وسلم said in the world the best reward for a person is 2 rakat Salah. If Allah gives him the capability of this! There is no greater reward than that.

For the human, The greatest reward from Allah is if Allah gives him the ability to pray 2 rakat salaah.
Kingdom assets and shops are nothing compared to this!

May Allah make us great mussalaee so we can protect our salaah.
Ameen
