Amongst the greatness of this month is that the reward of nafil becomes equivalent to that of a fard/compulsory deed.

The pious elders have said that the difference between 1 fard and 1 nafil is that if you pray nafil for the rest of your life you can't fulfil the equivalence of a fard prayer.
1 fard deed will be increased 70 times over in this month!

Any nafil/optional deed even if it's not nafil salah, just a voluntary deed, will be equivalent to a compulsory act.

We cannot receive these blessings and rewards in any other month.

Nabi ﷺ said that Allah ta'ala has given such a night in this month which is greater than 1000 months. (This includes the actions one perfoms during this night.) Considering that one night only lasts for a few hours especially now as they're short nights.
The durood and dhikr one does on this night, will be greater than 1000 months of that durood.

What's the reason for all this reward?
What has Allah ta'ala instilled in this month?

In this month the special feature for the ummati is taqwa. He spends his entire year in negligence so this month gives him a reminder.
Without taqwa a person can't succeed because it is the soul of his entire deen.

This month is for practising deeds and making effort and fasting contains all the ingredients which allows us to become a Muttaqi.

If you remove the foundation of a building, it will collapse. Thus, Allah has given the fast as the pillar of this month.

When a person keeps a genuine fast all those deeds automatically will be present in the fast through which in the evening a person can become a muttaqi.

Allah mentions in the Qur'an that those who didn't have taqwa were destroyed and those who Allah praised and granted rewards, were the muttaqi. If one practises something for 30 days and gets into a habit then he will be used to doing this act for the rest of this life.

Nabi ﷺ said when you eat the pre dawn meal for fasting, Allah and his angels send mercies and praise on those who obseve the pre dawn meal.

70 Sahabah رضي الله عنهم narrated the virtues of suhoor.

Nabi ﷺ advised not to leave suhoor and gave the advice that even if you don't have food take a gulp of water to attain this reward.

Some people eat at night and then they sleep so their sleep is fulfilled but such people don't pray fajr. So what tahajjud can they pray like this?

We should control our nafs. We are being saved from the hellfire in this month but we still don't try to attain the reward for these small deeds!

Eat in such a way that you are able to partake in Sheri and also iftar. Instead you burden your stomach at iftar so there's no space left for suhoor. We need to remember there is so much barakah in these times.

A person isn't generally accustomed to eating in the morning but when he begins eating suhoor, his stomach opens up and Allah ta'ala gives him that capability to eat.
When you have the intention for suhoor then Allah gives you the capacity to eat easily and effectively. Can there not be a greater barakah then this?

In Ramadan, every and any moment is the time for acceptance of duas. Whatever we ask for, Allah will give especially in Ramadan. This is the month of asking from Allah!

Allah announces is there anyone who comes to ask for forgiveness I will forgive him. Is there anyone who is supplicating so that I may answer his prayer? is there anyone who seeks his need to be fulfilled I will fulfil his deeds? is there anyone who wants his difficulties to be removed I will remove them. This is the time Allah hears a humans duas throughout the entire Ramadan.

Supplicating to Allah is the sign of a muttaqi because Allah has placed a special quality in dua. When a person faces sadness or distress in parallel to that comes despondency but when the Muttaqi face difficulties they don't despair.

If I read from the letter of my hadhrat sahib. Just a few words from it. He said " problems, old age and illness are present, my hand isn't functioning and difficulties have increased. My Body is weak but oh my mawla it's your fadl and generosity you are the one to give."

SubhaanAllah! What a great wali of Allah presenting his condition to Allah ta'ala.

So here this great wali of Allah tala says , I have all these issues but my relationship with Allah is robust and strong. There were challenging times for Hadhrat sahib, he didn't have support and was physically weak, but there was no despair or complaints because a muttaqi doesnt despair. When a common man faces trials he gets more worried and despondent. This is the difference.

Generally, Illness doesn't pester a person too much, rather it's the negative thinking and despair that affects a person.

A wali Allah is accustomed to one action which is that they suplicate to Allah. This is why they arent afraid of anything.

If Allah, being the owner of all treasures and the universe, tells a person to ask from Him will He not give? If a king says ask from me,ask from me, will he not give?

So a muttaqi should have taqwa consciousness and have yaqeen that it's only Allah who gives.

Every action and requirement will be fulfilled through Allah. When a person make abundance of dua despite every test and challenge they will persevere with ease and theyll get determination because they know Allah is with us and there certainty is increased.

It doesn't matter what dua we make, even if it's for dunya things at least we will get habitual and acknowledge that my rabb is there, the Khaliq is present. So making dua makes a person close to Allah and Allah gets happy with such a person. Allah gets pleased on this action because despite us not having seen him or his paradise, we have so much yaqeen in Him that we may ask and know he will fulfill it. Upon this conviction, Allah immediately listens to his prayer. One who lacks hope he has no assistance.

Taqwa elevates a person through dua and dua is the weapon for a muttaqi, hence he never despairs. If you don't enjoy asking from Allah or making lengthy duas you cant be a Muttaqi.

Your yaqeen should be so solid to belive that whatever dua you make, Allah will accept.

May Allah make us distanced from despondency and frustration and give us the opportunity to make dua at every illness and difficulty.

This is Allah, who makes the barren earth alive! Live and death are all in his control. When we get used to asking Him, difficulties and worries will end and we will get accustomed to depending on Allah.

We should make dua always not just at the 3rd part of the night or tahajjud. The whole of Ramadan, every second is the time fof acceptance. You should get accustomed to Asking from Allah!

May Allah swt grant us all the taufeeq. Ameen
