3 things in reptance
1. Towbha, you need regret and remorse, grieve over how you did this wrong action, he thinks and feels the mistake he made, deep regret
2. After today make intention to not commit this sin and leave it now
3. I promise I will not commit this sin again
Doing these three things is what we must do.
A person does bayaah he is afraid of Allah. The teacher protects the student. A person who doesnt have fear of his sheikh e wont fear Allah. If the student is immodest infront of sheikh, no shame, no worries, no trembling of heart or feeling he has done wrong - before a person went to sheikh and he would shake. A student he has a teacher and the relationship is like a common man, maybe slight difference. Doesnt know how to meet him, talk to him. An awe should be felt and such respect.
I swear by Allah When this fear comes into the student, and you are afraid of speaking to the sheikh and coming close to him, then understand then Allah's fear has come into the heart of that person and he has become successful.
Shaytaan makes a person immodest, makes him go against sheikh, doesn't hold sheikh in high esteem, loses adab, speaks negative of the sheikh he has failed.
Example of Hadrat Umar, the man feared him not Allah but then he turned to Allah.
I would see sometimes, soon as they see hadrat they would start to cry. When I went to my sheikh early days when I had no adaab, I went to his service, went to do true towbah, I didnt know hadrat no relationship but as soon as I took his hand khawf came into my heart. My habit would be I would pray nafil salah, give sadaqah. Tears would flow such emotion would overcome my body soon as I saw hadrat.
I asked very old khadim of hadrat I asked him whats happening when fear overwhelms me and awe. He said well done Farooqui sb you have become successful. This is what a person needs for towbah.
Its very easy, correct sins, do the three things and anywhere home, outside, sin should not be commited otherwise there is hypocrisy.

- If Allahs Rahama is there success will come if not it wont come. Make this solid in our minds. Very big lesson given to us.
- No need to fear or worry focus towards Allahs Rahama. If you focus on Allah his focus (rahma) will come on you.
- we need to get Allahs Rahma to pay attention to us. Everything is the means, methods to implement but Allah gives to us, no one else can.
- How can we get Allahs Mercy to focus on us? You can do hajj, salah, dhikr but all dependant on Allahs mercy. If it is there the flowers will come. Success will come in salah with Allahs Rahma.
- Why dont we get to that position where Allahs Mercy is focused on us? Thousands of actions shaytaan will tell you do this, do that. Allah told us one tariqah. Automatically the Rahma will come. Such a great amaal to pull the mercy of Allah. It is Allahs promise. It hastens to that person. That avtion is tawbah. If he does in his thought, heart, loudly.
- Do your hajj, quran but Allahs rahma needed without it they are without light.
- In a hadith stated dont be late for one thing, when you sin repent immediately. Noor comes when deeds done after tawbah. The amaal becomes different.
- Your rooh will travel and wonder and go to maqams you wont want to stop praying salah. Long salah by pious.
- Hadrat Umar R.A was the ruler he was just. He was walking saw an individual who was a drinker, tried to hide it. Hadrat Umar R.A was there he thought he is caught. He was summoned and knew he is in trouble. He thought save me from Umar I will never drink again. The man ran to Allah he sought protection and he did tawbah. He was asked if he drank, and what was in the bottle. He said it is milk. He was made to open it and it was made to be milk. Towba was accepted. Thats how quickly Allahs aid comes.
- Call out to Allah. We just say I repent to you, ill repent for one action and not another based on nafs. If you have a mallidy in body you treat it all.
- tawba means to repent for all sins not just for some sins and then continue sinning in other ways.
- Allahs order is whether its internal or external we should repent for all sins. The punishment will come for sins.
- A person follows his desires he doesnt know he is commiting a sin he doesnt see anything wrong. If we dont repent no mercy of Allah. Towba and practice good deeds causes Allahs mecry to come.
- Allah has given the ability, latifa qalb, rooh, sarr khafi, all of these lessons of the spiritual self (the dhikr of Allah) they expand ans open up and Allahs Mercy enters through these doors.
- Sadly we do dhikr on those lataifas the way we are told but Allah's mercy doesnt come.
- When a person comes to a sheikh and he gives the dhikr it is so great action. We havent done tawbah so rahma doesnt come.
- When a person commits a sin, the nafs will not tell us. We should scan ourself, tell the sheikh to scan you in person, and he will tell you what is lacking. The person who is sincere and comes with honest heart he will do it now. The teacher tells us, we don't listen. If you complain, doubting, asking questions if we can do it this way etc.
- Go to the individual who will not be bias, who will scan you, he will tell you this is wrong, this is correct, correct this.
- Where there is sin, Allah's rahma will not come. We say I pray tahaujud, do this much dhikr, long list of what he does in worship.
- The best action in morning (according to Allah), they pray Tahujud, beg to Allah, then they would do istigfaar and tawbah, this is quality of allahs friends.
- Towbah isnt just saying Astugfirullah. We mix towbah and istigfar. Istigfaar is a big achievement and reward for this. The angels ask forgiveness for a person which will elevate a persons status.
- True towbah, then we commit sin, this is a system. One is the big sin i.e. cutting sins so you have to reverse them physically. If you look at someone you shouldn't have, backbites, these can be annulled straight away should do towbah immediately. Otherwise it will be permanently recorded.
- After a person does towbah, then do istigfaar tasbeeh.
- Repeate istigfaar statement is not towbah, it needs to be be separated.
- But a person who does towbah then does repeted istigfaar this will elevate a person.
- Look at the permanent sins you commit, and do towbah, you don't do this then there isn't no istigfaar. Then Allah's rahma will not come. Otherwise all the dhikr lessons go to waste.
- If we do towbah and you commit sin after 30 mins do towbah again. If nafs and desire comes to you and pesters you, run away from that place where sin happens and seek alternative. Work hard and try then Allah will save you from sin and Rahma will come.
- Have courage and determination, dont do haraam, we lie, we eat haram then pray Salah, dhikr, Umrah what is this game? There is no principle of life. This is a delusion and you make shaytaan so happy doing wrong actions.
