Rasoolullah (saws) stated that Ashurah so great, that sky, earth, oceans, mountains, moon, sun, and even prophets and angels, created on this day, pharoah destroyed on this day, day of judgement on this day.
Great day for gathering of dhikr - very few given this. Shaitan deviate people to other useless and sinful activities. Fast - reward of 60 years accepted fast, 1000 shaheed, give food for iftar like feeding whole ummah, support orphan - elevated for every hair on body. So great status for this night and following day. Imagine doing dhikr gathering on this night. And the reward you get will be given as trays of light to your parents and all the shayookh from the silsila. Done automatically. They'll be so happy, will do dua for you. We need to do this to return the favours from Allah.
For those who can't fast for shariah reason (illness, or women at certain times) but wanted to, get full reward.
