The ottoman sultans and the Muslims in general had an extremely beautiful custom during times of difficulty.
They would write emotional letters addressing Rasūlullāh ﷺ describing their problems to him.
These letters would then be given to the pilgrims who would read them out in Masjid al-Nabawi.
When the Ummah was in a bad state, the Sultans would have these letters placed in the Prophet's ﷺ chambers - and Allāh would grant them victory and success. After a great injustice of this ummah took place and Madinah was beseiged - people went into the chambers of Rasūlullāh ﷺ and found a letter from Sultan Selim lll which said,
"From your lowly and humble servant Sultan Selim, to proceed - 'Ya Rasūlallāh, we have been inflicted with harm.
Diifficulty which we are unable to ward off has befallen us.
The servants of the cross have gained dominion over the servants of the Most Merciful.
We ask you for victory over them [by the permission of Allah].
Help us against them! and help us defeat them! ”
This has always been an accepted belief of this Ummah for the Prophet of this Ummah ﷺ.

Two Muslims, very different states. First loves ibadat and gets great taste from it, second just does minimum, no taste, had a void. Why? Former has love for Rasoolullah (saws) and the latter doesn't. No love, no iman.
With this love, become Allah's friend. This love should be greater than anything. Look at sahabah, drowned in this love, ingrained deep.
This love is apparent. You'll get a reply. Stories Of friends of Allah to whom Rasoolullah (saws) came. Veil removed between you and Rasoolullah (saws).
What action will get you this love? FOLLOW THEIR SUNNAH! You'll queue for something valuable, so how about this? Every part of your life must be in sunnah, whatever your situation. Character, dress, toilet, disputes, everything documented for us. But we say "why's it necessary" etc - false love.
