When do good, shaitan attacks, makes us go back to old ways. There's dua asking for protection from this. When change for better, it's Allah's grace. But then shaitan comes and man goes back to old habits. Whispering - why you practise deen etc, and convinces you that you've done right by leaving off deen.
When do good, even have iman, we should be thankful to Allah for His grace. There's those who swear when get difficulty. We should do "alhamdulillah" for our situation. When in good, be thankful and ask to be saved from going back. Higher you go, bigger the fall, bigger the test, so ask.
Allah's give you opportunity to do zikr, should be greatful for such blessing and also worried that we don't leave it. Allah save us from becoming immersed in darkness of dunya. Do zikr, get 3 rewards -
1) you get to mention Allah's name. What an honour. Our dirty tongues doesn't deserve this. Is this not enough?
2) whole creation recognises you and remembers you.
3) Allah remembers you! In better gathering.
Take police - as increase in rank, become more cautious, more professional. Same when increase in rank to Allah, when do zikr, so should be more cautious of your actions, your sins are not befitting of your status - they will get you more punished.
