Today's Bayan

If we disobey Allah ta'ala, we become deserving of punishment due to our sins. If we desire to please Allah ta'ala, we must avoid sins and practise upon the Shariah. Otherwise, it is impossible to remain safe from sin. This is the message of the Qur'an.

Allah ta'ala does not oppress anyone, nor is He unjust. A person experiences sorrow and sickness when they break the laws of Allah ta'ala. We should not blame others when we face difficulties. Rather, we should look within ourselves, for it is our own shortcomings that have led us to this. We will certainly be punished for our disobedience to Allah ta'ala in one way or another.

Even if one person in a household does not perform Salah, peace and blessings will not enter that home, and punishments will certainly descend upon it.

The cure for disobedience is sincere repentance to Allah ta'ala.

When pious and righteous people face difficulties, these trials are sent to elevate their status. They do not become depressed or despairing. Rather, they remain patient, persevere, and their ranks are elevated as Allah ta'ala wishes to draw them closer to Him. The difference between an ordinary person and a pious person during times of trial is that the pious person finds peace and contentment even in hardship. He does not complain, but acknowledges that everything happens by the will of Allah ta'ala. He says, *Alhamdulillah*, considers himself at fault, and increases in repentance.

We should purify ourselves and our homes. A person who is practising the Deen will face greater accountability. Those who have been selected for the gatherings of Dhikr should ensure that their homes are completely clean and pure. They should have no doubts in their minds. Their homes should be free from television and all forms of immodesty. Otherwise, such people will not receive blessings. Rather, they may receive even greater punishment because they are disregarding the mercy and reward of Allah ta'ala despite being blessed with Dhikr.

The punishment for a Haafidh and an Aalim is greater than that of an ordinary person. They will be held accountable in both worlds.

Allah ta'ala has blessed us with the Sunnah and enabled the men to wear the blessed Amaamah, yet some still commit sinful actions and abandon Salah. The impurities of our sins remain until we make sincere repentance. The sins we commit do not simply disappear; they must be erased through repentance. Allah ta'ala is so Merciful that He forgives immediately when a person sincerely repents.

The more Allah ta'ala enables us to practise the Deen, the more cautious we should become, as we will be held to greater account for our misdeeds. We should never ignore the immodesty and sins taking place within our homes. The mercy of Allah ta'ala awaits us if we turn back to Him.

We should live a life of caution. Every sin we commit destroys both ourselves and our future.

Allah ta'ala has prepared immense rewards for us in the Hereafter, yet we continue to waste them. Allah ta'ala has made us deserving of these rewards by granting us the blessing of Dhikr, yet we continue to live like ordinary people, giving priority to worldly matters.

We are oppressing ourselves. We should reflect upon our condition, for the punishment awaiting those who possess knowledge yet fail to act upon it will be far more severe than that of those who are not learned.

We should never deceive ourselves into thinking that there are no consequences for our actions simply because we engage in Dhikr. We will be held accountable for every action.

Indeed those who say, 'Our Lord is Allah,' and then remain steadfast, the angels descend upon them, ˹saying,˺ “Do not fear, nor grieve. Rather, rejoice in the good news of Paradise, which you have been promised." [41:30]

There are two actions that we must fulfil in order to practise the Deen correctly: implementing the laws of Allah ta'ala and following the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ. If a person remains steadfast upon these two, then this is true Deen, and Allah ta'ala will reward him.

When a person sins, abandons Salah, and considers it insignificant, Allah ta'ala punishes him in such a way that he no longer even recognises that he is sinning. As a result, he is deprived of the ability to repent.

Those who engage in Dhikr will have faces that shine like the moon on the fourteenth night on the Day of Resurrection. We deprive ourselves of this reward by engaging in sins. Due to our sins, our faces will be blackened. We engage in Dhikr, follow the Sunnah, yet at the same time deceive others and commit fraud. Our homes should be purified from sins so that they may absorb the light of Allah ta'ala.

Instead of being eager to give the Adhaan or lead the Salah despite not being worthy, we should consider ourselves unfit for such roles due to our sins. It is our desires that make us wish to place ourselves ahead of everyone else.

We attend the Khankah for the purpose of self-rectification. We should never expose the faults of others, as this is a shameful act. Rather, we should identify our own shortcomings and strive to correct ourselves.

It is both a miracle and an honour in the gathering of a Sheikh that a person feels as though he is being personally addressed through the Sheikh's words. This is because Allah ta'ala identifies the defects of the people and rectifies them. He does not wish for them to enter the Hellfire.

If Hazrat Imaam Hussain رضي الله عنه had accepted martyrdom earlier, perhaps the Ahlul Bayt could have been saved.

His offspring may have been spared, so why did Hazrat Imaam Hussain رضي الله عنه remain there while his family was martyred?

The Prophet ﷺ would strive with all his effort to save people from the Hellfire. He would excuse people and continue giving them opportunities to repent. Hazrat Imaam Hussain رضي الله عنه adopted the same approach. He hoped that if he waited, the people of Kufa would come to realise the truth, accept his sincere advice, and refrain from martyring him. He knew that if they martyred his family, the consequences would be different. However, if they martyred him despite all his efforts to guide them, then the proof against them would be complete, and they would become deserving of the Hellfire. Thus, in the hope of saving the hypocrites from dying upon disbelief, he allowed his entire family to be martyred. In the end, he accepted martyrdom himself after it became clear that they were destined for the Hellfire due to their persistence.

Allah ta'ala continues to give a believer opportunities to repent until the moment of death. Once death arrives, those opportunities come to an end, and a person must face the consequences of his deeds.

Likewise, the AwliyahAllah continue to give their students opportunities until the very end, hoping they will rectify themselves and be saved. They do not hasten to expel or disgrace anyone. Rather, they hope that every student will be saved fr
ograteful for the favours of Allah ta'ala and never reject His blessings. We should fulfil the rights of the white garments and the Amaamah that we wear. We should protect ourselves and avoid making people witnesses to our sins.

May Allah ta'ala grant us the ability to implement these precious pearls of wisdom. Ameen.
