Bayan After Maghrib – Manchester

It is permissible for a person to feel pleased with their good actions, but jealousy is incorrect, as it burns away good deeds.

If you see someone performing a good deed, you should feel happy for that person, and through that sincere happiness, you may also become like them.

However, if you become jealous, it develops into hatred and anger, which leads to frustration. A person may even begin to feel happy when the one they envy suffers a loss. This is true jealousy, and in reality, the only one who loses is the jealous person himself.

We should not be envious of the wealthy or those who possess pomp, glory, and worldly assets, because these things are temporary and will soon diminish.

Rather, we should feel honoured to be the guests of a great Wali Allah. Allah ta'ala has allowed us to attend this gathering, and this is a tremendous blessing and honour.

It is mentioned in the Ahadith that the home in which the dhikr of Allah ta'ala is performed shines before the inhabitants of the heavens.
Imagine, then, how brightly the hearts that perform dhikr must shine.

Allah ta'ala grants us these gatherings as opportunities to protect us and save us from the Hellfire.

We should not forget to include our wives on this spiritual path and remain concerned about their spiritual development.

We should encourage them to establish a connection with a Sheikh just as we have. Are they not also deserving of Paradise?
It is unfair not to have concern for our wives in this regard. We should allow them to spiritually progress and improve themselves.
A sign of mutual love between husband and wife is that they wake one another for Tahajjud, even if by gently splashing water on each other’s faces.

Before arriving at the dhikr gathering, we should set up the phone so that the sisters at home can also join online.

Afterwards, we should discuss the bayan with our spouse, and this is how the love of Allah ta'ala is nurtured within the home.

If the mother is misguided, then the daughters and children may also become misguided.
This is not the teaching of Islam.

We should include our children in this spiritual upbringing according to the guidance of the Qur’an.

After taking bay'ah with a Sheikh, we must sincerely promise not to shave the beard and not to commit wrongdoing; otherwise, repentance is not genuine.

Allah ta'ala has granted us a great opportunity to remain safe from the Hellfire.
We should understand that whenever Allah ta'ala grants us the ability to perform a good deed, it is because He desires to save us from the Hellfire.
Above all, the action that saves a person from the punishment of the grave is the dhikr of Allah ta'ala.

We should repent and engage in dhikr, and in return, our graves will become a portion of Paradise.

We will receive immense rewards in the grave and will be able to answer the questions of the grave with ease.

If we desire such a death, we should value this night, perform sincere repentance, and promise never to abandon any congregational prayer.
We should also remain steadfast in attending the dhikr gatherings held in the khanqah.
If a person sincerely makes this promise, he will be protected from the punishments of the Hereafter.

When we make such a promise, Allah ta'ala grants us courage, determination, and personally assists us in fulfilling our good intentions, such as rising for prayer and attending dhikr gatherings.

There is no excuse for neglecting the masjid.
Our jobs will not benefit us in the Hereafter, and drowsiness should not become an excuse.
As long as we are physically able to reach the masjid, we should attend the gathering.

If we befriend a Wali Allah, we may ourselves become like the friends of Allah ta'ala.
We should connect ourselves to him, love him, offer gifts to him, and accompany him.
Even looking at the beloved servant of Allah ta'ala is an act of worship.

Hadhrat Musa عليه السلام asked Allah ta'ala for signs by which a Wali Allah and a person displeasing to Allah ta'ala may be recognised.
Allah ta'ala mentioned two signs of those whom He loves:
The first is that they remember Allah ta'ala in abundance.
The second is that they remain protected from sins and disobedience.
In this way, Allah ta'ala protects them from the Hellfire.

If Allah ta'ala loves such a person, then we too should connect ourselves to him so that we may be positively influenced.
A person only suffers loss by distancing himself from a Wali Allah.

We should connect ourselves to the Awliya Allah and connect our children to them as well.
This is how salvation is attained.
A Wali Allah has a lofty status because he has been specially chosen by Allah ta'ala.
Allah ta'ala Himself mentions such people among the heavens.
A sign of those distant from Allah ta'ala is that they are not granted the ability to remember Allah ta'ala.
They distance themselves from dhikr and dislike it. They make excuses to avoid dhikr.
We should avoid the company of such people; otherwise, we may become like them.

We should distance ourselves from those who are negligent and lazy regarding dhikr gatherings.
Another sign of the one who has earned Allah ta'ala’s displeasure is that he becomes overwhelmed by the world and enslaved to his desires. His objective in life becomes worldly gain. Even his worship is performed for worldly benefits.

It is a shame that nowadays Shaytan has made us love those whom Allah ta'ala is displeased with.
We accompany them and form friendships with them.
We should change our standard of life and choose the company beloved to Allah ta'ala.
In doing so, our lives will become smooth and easy.

The greatest worship is dhikr, so we should love dhikr.
The best book is the Qur’an, so we should love it, touch it, kiss it, and recite it.
It will grant us encouragement, strength, and make us beloved servants of Allah ta'ala.

Seeking the pleasure of Allah ta'ala should be the primary objective of our lives.
We should not worship, make friends, or do any deed for any purpose other than the sake of Allah ta'ala.

We should live life cautiously and practise upon two essential points:
Praying five times a day in congregation.
Remaining connected to the khanqah.
Allah ta'ala dislikes those who turn away from the jama'ah.

We will not gain more sustenance by abandoning congregational prayer, because all control and power lie in the hands of Allah ta'ala.
A person who abandons congregation out of fear of losing profit is, in essence, rejecting the teaching of the Qur’an.

We should avoid hoarding and amassing wealth.
Rather, we should spend our wealth on good causes.

We should not run away from the blessings Allah ta'ala has granted us while chasing worldly benefits.

Allah ta'ala has granted certain individuals qualities through which they may lead the people in prayer and serve as Imam in the khanqah.
This is a tremendous honour.
Such a person will certainly receive faiz and provisions from Allah ta'ala.

It is a shame if we still turn away from this opportunity.

Our worship alone will not save us if we refuse the honour Allah ta'ala has granted us.
If we do not fulfil this responsibility, then perhaps it should be given to someone else who seeks to fulfil that right.

Allah ta'ala has granted you this treasure and the qualities to serve the Wali Allah, yet some do not wish to fulfil this duty unless payment is received.

By neglecting these qualities, Allah ta'ala may remove this treasure from a person, and he may end up serving the disbelievers and become a slave to money.

We should befriend those who are beloved to Allah ta'ala and distance ourselves from those distant from Him.

We should perform those actions that bring us nearer to Allah ta'ala.
To protect our iman, we must engage in abundant dhikr.
In return, we will be granted Paradise.
When a person attends the evening dhikr gathering, the sins committed during the day are forgiven.

Those sins may even be converted into good deeds, and Allah ta'ala announces that person’s forgiveness in the heavens.

The five daily prayers also purify us from sins.
We should not worry about matters for which Allah ta'ala has already taken responsibility.
Allah ta'ala will protect our wealth.
Allah ta'ala grants children to parents.
Allah ta'ala also distributes behaviour and good manners.

Allah ta'ala is the One who gives.
A person should not complain about the distribution of Allah ta'ala, which is based on His wisdom.

However, Allah ta'ala grants His beloved servants through His choicest selection.
He gives to His beloved according to His special preference.

Allah ta'ala distributes wealth to all, but He grants faith to those whom He loves.
Iman is the greatest wealth already in our possession.

It is greater than any monetary wealth.
This is the precious treasure that we must protect.
Whenever something is valuable, it is easily stolen.

The nafs and Shaytan are the two thieves constantly attempting to steal our faith.
Shaytan tries to make a person die as a disbeliever.

Precious things are always in danger, and therefore our faith is always in need of protection.

No one can negatively influence us if our faith is protected.

We should seal our iman with the lock of dhikr.
In this way, we will depart from this world in a state of faith.

May Allah ta'ala allow us to implement these precious pearls of wisdom.
Ameen.
