Jewels of Ramadhan 2026- Episode 40

Muraqabah is a means of attaining the faiz of Allah ta'ala. Through Muraqabah, we seek the magnificence of Allah ta'ala. A person empties their mind of all thoughts and focuses on their heart. They turn to Allah ta'ala and pray that the spiritual blessings granted to the Naqshbandi Mashaikh, through their intermediary, may also be bestowed upon them. This is how faiz is attained. This practice applies to both men and women. One should try to remain in a state of Muraqabah at all times, even while engaged in daily activities. Through Muraqabah, sins are removed, peace enters the heart, and negative qualities are cleansed. Whenever you are free, turn to Muraqabah. In doing so, you may reach the level of Ihsaan, where a person worships Allah ta'ala as though they are witnessing Him.

We perform Dhikr to seek the pleasure of Allah ta'ala not for personal enjoyment. This is our true objective. If you find Muraqabah difficult, begin with five minutes and gradually increase it to ten minutes or more. Even if negative thoughts arise, ignore them and remain consistent. This is how one strives against the nafs and Shaytan. In time, you will naturally feel inclined to spend longer in Muraqabah.

The greatest act of worship is prayer, and the purpose of life is to prepare for it. Every part of the prayer requires presence of heart so that we can focus on Allah ta'ala This is why Muraqabah is practiced - to help improve the quality and concentration of our prayers.

The pious people had complete concentration and focus in their prayers, and it was Muraqabah that helped perfect them. Through our Dhikr, we should see improvement in our prayers. This is why we need to strive to perfect our prayers, so that they may continue to improve. Dhikr has a powerful impact on our worship, and its benefits are far-reaching.

We should pray in the mosque and have respect for the mosque. Those whose hearts are attached to prayer and the mosque will be under the shade of Allah’s throne in the Hereafter. This shows how much Allah loves this action. A person whose prayer is strong, is strong in Dhikr as well. When our prayer improves, a person begins to find closeness to Allah through it. We should strive in Dhikr so that our prayers improve and Allah ta'ala becomes pleased with us.

This world has become corrupted, and materialism has overtaken us, causing our hearts to become rusty. As a result, our worship is affected. We begin to rush our prayers, and the mosques are left empty. Then we wonder why we face punishment from Allah ta'ala.

We should not compare our lives to those of non-believers, thinking that they have everything while we do not, and that they are not required to worship as we are.

We should earn and seek wealth in a way that does not become a barrier to our worship. We should not pursue high-status jobs or recognition at the cost of neglecting our prayers. The same concern should apply to our children as well. We should ask for and seek wealth that aligns with our worship, as there will be blessings in it. This will bring contentment to the heart and free it from greed for worldly things. As a result, the love for Allah ta'ala will also begin to grow.

Fulfilling the five daily prayers in the mosque is our responsibility. If we carry this out properly, Allah ta'ala will remove our hardships and grant us solutions. We should sit and make dua after every prayer, sharing our feelings and presenting our needs to Allah ta'ala. He invites us to His house for this purpose, and He dislikes those who do not ask from Him. When we turn to Allah ta'ala and express our feelings, it strengthens our relationship with Him.

Whenever you see a Wali of Allah making dua, you should sit behind him and join in his dua, and then make your own, asking for your personal needs. Perhaps, through the mercy of Allah ta'ala upon him, you will also be granted success. You never lose by doing this. The mercy of Allah ta'ala constantly descends in the presence of a Wali, so we should benefit from it.
We should always rely on Allah ta'ala and be dependent upon Him, never losing hope. If we are not granted what we desire, it may be a test for us. We should not complain to Allah ta'ala for not receiving what we want. We must trust that He will grant us something better and compensate for us.

Every action and decision of Allah ta'ala is just and full of wisdom. Even when He places us in a trial, it may be to remove our sins and bring us closer to Him. Before complaining, we should be grateful to Allah ta'ala for the blessings He has already granted us. We should make dua for ease, without complaining to Him.

It is a shame that we avoid serving the mosque, such as cleaning the bathrooms or repairing what needs fixing. We should overcome our nafs and do these tasks ourselves, rather than relying on others. True blessings cannot be gained otherwise. We should serve the khanqah without hesitation. If something is broken we should take it upon ourselves to fix it and if it is dirty, we should clean it. If someone needs help, assist them. This is all considered service. Those who act disrespectfully or perform good deeds for ulterior motives will be led to disobedience by Allah ta'ala.

A person who is cowardly and miserly and doesn’t spend in the path of Allah ta'ala, will never be successful.

We should use our abilities and capacity to serve the khanqah for the sake of our Hereafter. Serving the khanqah is a great act of worship and can elevate a person to a very high status in Paradise. These actions help ensure success in the Hereafter. Let us not allow Allah ta'ala to close the doors of the khanqah and withhold its blessings from us due to our disrespect or poor character.

May Allah ta'ala allow us to implement these precious pearls of wisdom. Ameen
