Jewels of Ramadhan 2026- Episode 38

This is the last night of Laylatul-Qadr and these are the final moments of this month.

Allah ta’ala has blessed us with this month not for worship, but out of His immense mercy, so that we may seek His forgiveness and truly change our lives. It is a chance for us to break free from the distractions of this world and sincerely submit ourselves to Him.

Ramadan was granted to us so that we can purify ourselves and attain Taqwa. If we fail to attain it, we will be destroyed. We cannot guarantee that we will be granted another Ramadan, so we should utilise this opportunity.

If a person prays without making wudu, the prayer is not accepted. Likewise, true repentance requires purification. Only when a person sincerely repents and cleanses himself, he will be granted the reward of a thousand months. If someone engages in acts of worship without purifying themselves, those actions go to waste.

Committing sins is inevitable, as we were not created sinless like the angels. Therefore, we should not despair over our countless mistakes. Rather, we should place our hope in His mercy. The first step toward true repentance is to feel sincere remorse over our sins.

We are indeed a noble creation. Even the angels are amazed at the way human beings turns back in repentance after committing sins. They admire those who remember Allah - those who sit in the mosque, setting aside their worldly concerns and turning fully towards worship. Such people overcome their desires in order to attend gatherings of Dhikr.

On these blessed occasions, the angels descend to witness such devoted servants. When they see people engaged in Dhikr, they consider it an honour and long to be close to them. When these angels return to the heavens, the other angels welcome them and greet them.

For every sacrifice we make in this life, we will be rewarded with something even better in Paradise. For instance, if we give up alcohol here, we will be granted a pure and perfect form of it in Paradise.

Human beings fall into sin time and again, and then turn back to Allah ta‘ala seeking His forgiveness. It is a continuous cycle. A person who consistently seeks forgiveness is granted it because they never lose hope in His mercy. Allah ta‘ala loves when we remain hopeful in His mercy and knows that we will continue to turn back to Him.

We should not let this night go to waste. We should not feel ashamed to seek His forgiveness. Instead, we should reflect on our sins, sincerely resolve to abandon them, and make a firm intention not to return to them again.

Allah ta‘ala has commanded us to fulfil the five pillars of Islam. At the very least, we should ensure that these obligations are properly carried out, even if we are not performing voluntary acts. By adhering to the Faraaidh, we are fulfilling our duty of obedience to Allah ta‘ala.

We should perform all five daily prayers, even if they are not carried out perfectly. If we miss any prayers, we should make them up as soon as possible before going to sleep so that we do not leave a debt owed to Allah ta‘ala for the next day. We should strive to compensate for missed prayers immediately.

If we desire wealth, we should first be willing to spend from what we have for the sake of Allah ta‘ala. In doing so, He will grant us even more. Giving 2.5% of our wealth as Zakat purifies it and becomes a means of attaining Paradise. If we neglect Zakat, our wealth loses its blessings and may even diminish.

Those most deserving of our Zakat are our needy relatives. We should begin by supporting them, as charity starts at home, and we should not withhold from them due to personal issues and enmity.

We should support our relatives and we should give them the wealth as a gift instead of naming it as Zakat. After giving to our relatives, we may distribute to the poor and needy in society

Regarding Hajj, we are required to perform it properly at least once in our lifetime. It becomes obligatory when we are able to afford it, can travel with ease, can provide for our wife and children in our absence, are able to return home safely, and the journey itself is safe. Once these conditions are met, we must go.

Youth is the best time to perform Hajj. Rather than prioritising multiple Umrah journeys, one should fulfil the obligation of Hajj first. Allah ta‘ala has not granted us youth merely to earn wealth, but to prepare for the Hereafter.

By performing Hajj, a great burden is lifted from us. If a person cannot afford to take their wife along, they should still perform Hajj themselves. If they are later able to afford it, they can then take her at another time.

A severe warning has been given for the one upon whom Hajj is obligatory, yet they fail to perform it. The Prophet ﷺ is reported to have said regarding such a person that he has no concern whether they die as a Jew or a Christian, indicating the seriousness of neglecting this obligation.

When making Tawbah tonight, we should sincerely promise Allah Ta‘ala that we will uphold the Faraaidh. We must also follow and obey the Prophet ﷺ, as true repentance is not complete without this. Just as love and obedience to Allah ta‘ala are essential, the same applies to the Prophet ﷺ. It is through bot- obedience to Allah and His Messengerﷺ, that a person attains Paradise.

The love of Allah ta'ala is attained via Dhikr and the love for the Prophet ﷺ is attained via Durood Shareef. We must perform both in abundance and it will cause us to become a friend of Allah ta'ala.

We must adhere to the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ. True lovers of the Prophet ﷺ do not merely claim their love; rather, they demonstrate it through their actions. If we fail to practice the Sunnah, we are being deceived by Shaytan.

Shaytan leads us toward evil and impure actions, making them appear attractive to us. He deceives us into thinking that we are true lovers of the Prophet ﷺ, even while we neglect and abandon the Sunnah.

Servanthood to Allah requires sacrifice. No one can truly claim to be a lover of the Prophet ﷺ without making sacrifices for Allah and His Messenger ﷺ. Our entire way of life should follow the Sunnah, regardless of where we live in the world. We must remain steadfast in it, even if we face mockery or criticism. It is through this perseverance that we are recognized as true lovers of the Prophet ﷺ.

A person who sincerely repents today is granted four great blessings. First, Allah ta‘ala forgives him, erasing his sins entirely, as if he had never committed them.

Second, Allah ta'ala begins to love him and purifies him by guiding him to a pious person to learn Tawbah. This teacher who is already a lover of Allah ta'ala, helps him develop a deep love for Allah ta'ala, and through sincere repentance, one’s entire life is transformed.

Third, he is granted protection from Shaytan. Allah ta‘ala enables him to learn Dhikr from a WaliAllah, through which he is safeguarded from falling into sin.

Fourth, Allah ta'ala removes the fear of death from the repentant. He grants peace and contentment within his heart at the time of his passing. Ultimately, He grants Paradise to the one who repents sincerely.

We should perform repentance under the guidance of a WaliAllah and not be anxious about how we will practice the Deen properly. Allah ta‘ala will support us, and He will forgive us repeatedly whenever we sin and sincerely turn back to Him in repentance.

We should take pride in openly following and imitating the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ, rather than adopting the ways of other nations. Our love for the Prophet ﷺ will be visible even in our appearance, and the angels will recognise it. We should never feel ashamed of adhering to the Sunnah, for the angels will bear witness to our love for the Prophet ﷺ in the court of Allah ta‘ala. Those who repent sincerely will be granted their rewards during the time of Eid.

Tonight's prescription:

Tonight, we must perform two Nafl Rakaat Tawbah and weep in Sajdah. We must perform Tawbah in the court of Allah ta'ala. Thereafter, we must recite Surah Yaseen and Surah Dukhan. Thereafter, we must perform our personal Dhikr given by Hadhrat Sahib. Then, we must perform 8 Rakaat Nafl Tahajjud and make Dua for the entire Ummah.

We should make Dua for the ease and well-being of the Ummah who are suffering and seek forgiveness on their behalf. We should take heed from the punishments happening across the world and ask Allah ta‘ala to protect us from similar trials. We must also improve the state of our own homes and lives, remembering that none of us are immune from punishment, it could reach us as well. Therefore, we must sincerely seek Allah ta‘ala’s forgiveness.

May Allah ta'ala allow us to implement these precious pearls. Ameen.
