Why is Tazkiyyah Important? - Part 20

We have gathered to perform Muraqabah collectively in the company of the Sheikh and through this, one earns the fayz- spiritual blessings. The students should not disregard this action as the Sheikh's fayz is attained through Muraqabah.

All the levels which are attained in the Naqshbandi order are done so through the act of Muraqabah. Muraqabah begins with the personal name of Allah ta'ala which a student learns and through this, he attains fayz. After this, Muraqabah Mashaarib begins.

When one’s Sheikh departs from this world, a disciple may visit his grave and seek fayz through Muraqabah. However, when the Sheikh is alive, the benefit is greater, so one should take advantage of his presence while the opportunity remains.

The main objective of Muraqabah is to attain the nearness of Allah ta'ala and that is most easily achieved through Muraqabah compared to any other deeds. Therefore, Muraqabah is extremely necessary in a student's life.

The pious predecessors were inspired to recite these great Kalimaat and these verses contain great names of Allah ta'ala. We recite these Kalimaat, the Isme-A'azam, before Muraqabah, to convey the rewards to the all the Mashãikh of the Naqshbandi order. Through this recitation, their ranks are raised.

When we present these rewards to them, their attention increases towards us and our attention towards them also grows. In return, we receive their Fuyooz and we gain their connection during Muraqabah.
We convey rewards to them because the pious predecessors have great favours upon us.

The Fuyooz and Tajaliyyaat of the Mashãikh are granted to the head of the silsilah - who is our Sheikh and he distributes it further to his students like rays of light. Those who sit close to him, will attain more fayz and this fayz is unique.

A student who holds love and firm belief in his Sheikh, and who serves him sincerely, is granted abundant fayz and is able to draw more from those streams of light. The student who has a stronger connection with his Sheikh, attains more.

Thereafter, he is given spiritual progression and improvement and he begins to dislike wrongdoing. He begins to save himself from sins and enjoys following the Sunnah and implementing the instructions of his Sheikh. As a result he draws nearer to Allah ta'ala and in this way, he attains Allah ta'ala's love and becomes successful.

The sisters who partake in the Dhikr gathering by joining in online, also receive the same reward and fayz as the Menfolk.

Collective Dhikr is essential and highly recommended. The Khatam Khawjgãn cannot be performed individually. It must be performed in the company of a Sheikh.

We should ensure to attend the Dhikr gathering so that we can acquire the direct fayz of the Mashãikh.

After the Fajr prayer, the best deed is to perform Khatam Khawjgãn and observe Muraqabah, in accordance with the practice of the pious predecessors, rather than occupying the time with lectures.

Before performing an action, we should understand why we are performing it, otherwise, without knowledge we are wasting our time.

Successful is he who departs this world with the love for Allah ta'ala. To attain this objective, we must be serious and work hard. We must be willing to make some sacrifice.

We should constantly assess whether we are attaining the love of Allah ta'ala. The sign of this is that we implement His Deen, possess excellent character, and abandon sins.
Those who truly love Allah ta'ala are often faced with great difficulties, just as the pious predecessors were. Their path was not one of comfort. Therefore, it is not merely about performing Dhikr and attaining luxuries, otherwise, it would only be the pursuit of Dunya. True love causes a person to practise Islam willingly and with passion.

May Allah ta'ala allow us to implement these precious pearls. Ameen
