Jewels of Ramadhan 2026- Episode 24

A person feels good when practising a good deed recommended by Allah ta‘ala for the sake of the Hereafter. He also makes greater sacrifices to perform those deeds. Such deeds strengthen a person spiritually and increases his inner strength.

Gathering in a majlis has been given glad tidings by the Prophet ﷺ. What is the good news the Prophet ﷺ has given regarding the Dhikr gatherings?

On the authority of Abu Razin رضي الله عنه, he said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him,
"Shall I not guide you to the key to this matter by which you will attain the good of this world and the Hereafter? Attend the gatherings of the people of Dhikr (remembrance of Allah), and when you are alone, move your tongue as much as you can in the remembrance of Allah..." [Mishkat Shareef]

Dhikr helps make the journey through this life and the trials we face along the way, easier. For anyone who is suffering, Dhikr is one of the greatest remedies. It brings peace to the heart and makes this world better for us, and we have complete certainty in that. As mentioned in the Hadith, the rewards and benefits of our Dhikr will surely reach us, whether sooner or later. Thus, we should be steadfast upon Dhikr.

This message is for the entire Ummah. It is a consolation from the Prophet ﷺ reminding us not to worry about the calamities and hardships that come in our path during this life.

Undoubtedly, we will face a lot of problems in life. The Prophet ﷺ has given us this Dhikr as a cure, so that when we face calamities we do not go astray from the practice of the Deen. This act will help us endure and overcome the difficulties we encounter in life.

Allah ta'ala has made three types of worlds. One is where a person faces complete problems without a chance of joy. This is Hellfire. The other is a place of joy and a person faces no pain or problem. He has freewill to do as he pleases. This is Paradise. And the third, is where a person faces difficulties as well as happiness, and this is the Dunya.

To help us pass this world smoothly, we require help. This is why Allah ta'ala sent the Messengers and the AwliyahAllah to this world to guide Mankind in a beautiful manner.

In the Hadith, we are given direct advice and guidance from the Prophet ﷺ. He advised that when facing adversity, one should not abandon the Deen. Rather, a person should connect himself with a WaliAllah, through whom he will be guided in this world.

If we perform Dhikr in this world, our Hereafter will become easier. Ease in the Hereafter refers to a smooth entry into Paradise, free from reckoning and hardship. Therefore, performing Dhikr brings us ease in both worlds.

The Dhaakireen will be recognised in the Hereafter through their radiant light which will illuminate from their faces.

The Prophet ﷺ then advised,
"Attend the gatherings of the people of Dhikr.."

Amongst us are many Dhaakireen who have endured numerous challenges in their lives, yet their problems were resolved through their Dhikr. Their worries were lifted, and they themselves stand as a testament to this reality.

In this era of evil and corruption, it is very difficult to find gatherings of Dhikr that are held tirelessly day and night. As time goes on, it will only become harder to find such precious gatherings. We should consider ourselves fortunate and be grateful to Allah ta'ala for this opportunity. Perhaps we may not get the chance to attend another gathering, so we should take full advantage of them.

If we fail to take hold of Dhikr despite being aware of its virtues, we will be considered ungrateful and Allah ta'ala will be displeased with us.

Through the means of technology, Allah ta'ala has allowed Dhikr to be spread across the globe. Due to the shortage of physical gatherings, Allah ta'ala has enabled Dhikr to become widely accessible for everyone to participate in from all parts of the world. It is streamed online so that people everywhere can benefit and take part.

We should be thankful to Allah ta'ala for allowing us to perform such a beautiful deed. Whenever we leave our homes, we should do so with the sincere intention of going solely for the purpose of Dhikr. We should strive to arrive at the gathering eagerly, perhaps ten to fifteen minutes before it begins, because the angels record the names of those who are eager and passionate to attend.

When you prepare in advance and set out for these gatherings, you can also earn rewards simply through your passion and sincere anticipation for attending them.

When a person has love for performing an action, it becomes easier for him to carry it out. These actions will be counted in the Hereafter, and people’s ranks will be distinguished based on their level of love for such deeds.

We should love and perform Dhikr ourselves and love those who host and teach Dhikr. This is our aim of life. In return, one will be granted success and ease in both worlds.

May Allah ta'ala allow us to implement these precious pearls. Ameen
