Jewels of Ramadhan 2026- Episode 9

When a person persists in sin, he opens a door for Shaytan to influence him and steal his faith. As his faith disappears, he begins to neglect the commands of Allah ta'ala and becomes shameless. Despite this downfall, he still regards himself as a true believer.

The greatest means of safeguarding our faith is Dhikr. When we are without this protection, we become more vulnerable to the desire to sin. Therefore, we must strive to constantly protect and strengthen our faith, so that it may accompany us into the grave. The more we incorporate Dhikr into our daily lives, the more we will be protected by Allah ta'ala.

Allah ta'ala has placed great impact in the company that we keep. If we wish to protect our faith, we must distance ourselves from bad company—such as those who neglect their prayers. The kind of person we aspire to become should be reflected in the company we keep.

Bad company weakens our motivation to improve ourselves, while good company inspires us to strive harder and grow into better individuals. In such positive company, the journey of self-improvement becomes much easier.

If we attach ourselves to good company, it will have a positive influence on us. The effects of keeping the company of the friends of Allah are felt very quickly.

Even gathering to speak about the AwliyahAllah has a profound effect. When the pious elders are mentioned, it protects a person from gossip and sin, and increases love and trust between those individuals. This is the impact of merely speaking about the AwliyahAllah, so imagine the effect and reward of truly loving them! Even by reading the books of the AwliyahAllah, a person is blessed with faiz - spiritual blessings.

"O you who have believed, fear Allah and seek the means [of approach] to Him and strive in His cause that you may succeed." [5:35]

Here, Allah ta'ala commands us to seek the means. The AwliyahAllah are the intermediaries through which a person becomes close to Allah ta'ala, otherwise, it is very hard to find the right path and acquire the nearness to Allah ta'ala without a guide and support.

It is very easy to distinguish between those people who have a guide in their lives and those who don’t. Those who do not accept a guide, have pride and they consider themselves righteous. On the other hand, those who adhere to the company of the Sheikh, qre humble and kind hearted. They are tolerant and gentle.

When Allah ta'ala loves someone and wishes to make him His beloved, He sends him to one if His beloved servants. Generally, it is very difficult to attain the company of a pious person.

A person’s life may be unsettled and filled with discomfort, but when he finds the company of a pious individual, he gains confidence and peace. The heart finds comfort and joy in the company of the righteous.

It depends on how you view the Shaykh. If you look upon the WaliAllah with love, respect, and sincere belief, you will benefit from their companionship and become closer to them spiritually. Otherwise, if you lack trust and sincerity, you will fail to believe and improve yourself.

The heart is the greatest witness. The sincere person is not in need of witnessing supernatural achievements and miracles in order to believe. Rather, his heart attests to the peace he feels in the compan
ynfluenced when they see their parents practicing good deeds. When the parents are spiritually rectified, their children are often guided in the same direction naturally.

Our children are very fortunate to have witnessed the AwliyahAllah in their time. This is a great blessing from Allah ta'ala.

Allah ta'ala only grants pious company to those who are sincere and those who seek it.

Only those who possess inner insight can truly witness the splendour of the pious people. Those who are spiritually blind will not be able to perceive it.

Muraqabah is a great deeds and it takes a person to the level of Ihsaan - recognising Allah ta'ala. Throughout Ramadan, we should devote most of our time to Muraqabah.

We should request Allah ta'ala for the spiritual faiz which He has granted to the honourable Mashãikh of the Naqshbandi order.

May Allah ta'ala allow us to implement these precious pearls.
