Allah ta'ala has kept great rewards and blessings during these blessed nights. We should value the time and recognise His favours. This is the night of Eid and the night of Qurbani. It is also the night of Jumuah. Allah ta'ala grants us this very blessed night as He wants to protect us from Hellfire. The people of wisdom understand this.
It is the night of Muzdalifah. The Hujjaaj depart from Arafah and they stay in Muzdalifah. Here, they select the stones for hitting the pillars of Shaytan
The objective of these blessed nights is to attain the forgiveness of Allah ta'ala.
The desires of a person and Shaytan causes a person to waste time and engage in various acts of worship. Due to this, he fails to acquire the true purpose of the night.
At Muzdalifah, Nabi ﷺ addressed the people and he said, Allah ta'ala has granted you a great favour. Allah ta'ala has forgiven the deviated and sinful people due to the company of the righteous people amongst us. Whatever the righteous people have asked for, Allah ta'ala has granted them.” This is the favour of Allah ta'ala. He instructed the people to ask Allah ta'ala directly for forgiveness.
Hadhrat Abu Hurayrah Radiyallaha anhu narrates in regards to Muzdalifah that it is the night of forgiveness and safety from Hellfire.
A person who attains forgiveness is successful. However, only the person who considers himself sinful and understands the impact of his deeds, is able to truly seek forgiveness from Allah ta'ala. It is one's sincerity and humility which causes him to question his own deeds. If a person considers his actions perfect, he will never seek forgiveness from Allah ta'ala.
Hadhrat Sheikh Baha-ud-Din Zakariyya Soharwardi Rahmatullahi Alayh had a noble grandson, Shah Rukn al-Deen Rahmatullahi Alayh. Both of their blessed mazars are located in Multan, and they are revered as leading figures in the Soharwardi Silsilah.
It is narrated that during the time when Sultan Altamash was reigning, Shah Rukn al-Deen Rahmatullahi Alayh made a declaration: "Bring forth my elephant!" He further proclaimed that he would ride through the city atop the elephant, and whoever saw him during this procession would be granted forgiveness.
True to his word, the noble Sheikh mounted the elephant and proceeded through the city. Those who recognised the profound spiritual significance behind this act understood that it was carried out in accordance with divine inspiration. They rushed to behold him, performing Ziyarah, and by the mercy of Allah, they were indeed forgiven.
Even Sultan Altamash himself came to witness the Sheikh, acknowledging the majesty and sanctity of the moment.
In reality, Allah ta'ala forgives others due to the righteous people. Those who were proud of their deeds and did not believe and were not forgiven as they did not take heed.
We should attain forgiveness today because we do not know how long we have left in this world. Those who perform dhikr during the night of Eid, their hearts will be made alive on that day of reckoning when the hearts of others will be dead.
These moments are very beneficial for our future. We must make firm promises and repent to Allah ta'ala.
May Allah ta'ala allow us to implement and value these precious nights. Ameen
