Bayan - The Night of Eid

After performing a great task, one's desires invite him towards relaxation and rightly so. We have performed great worship and hard work. We may intend to rest, however, this is not the night of rest. We must crush our desires once again and when we do this, we are given much reward.

This night is called Laylatul Jaa'izah and it comes after one year. It invites us to stay awake as this is the night of reward. Remaining awake refers to rising for Tahajjud and engaging in dhikr. We should spend the night the same way we spend Laylatul Qadr.

Allah ta'ala loves it when we turn to Him despite feeling lazy and tired. This is because we are going against our own desires. In return, we receive the mercy of Allah ta'ala. We should not spoil this night.

Those who perform dhikr are always included at the forefront. They receive great rewards at every opportunity.

We should not be lazy and negligent from dhikr during this night. We must be active and alert. This is the night of receiving rewards from Allah ta'ala. Those who engage in dhikr regularly, will be granted their reward today. Some of us have passed away before witnessing this day.

We must make take benefit of this night. Those who repent during this night, will be granted success. Repentance is the most beloved action to Allah ta'ala.

The Prophet ﷺ is reported to have said:
Whoever stands up (in worship) in the nights preceding the two Eids expecting rewards from his Lord, his heart will not die when the other hearts will die. (Ibn Majah Shareef)

Those whose hearts are alive will enter Paradise and those who perform dhikr will never be left empty handed. Allah ta'ala grants a great connection to those who perform dhikr.

We are blessed to be sitting here and not occupied in shopping and Eid preparations. We are blessed to be making the most of this night and not wasting it. This is due to the blessings of the AwliyahAllah.

We may perform dhikr alone, however, Allah ta'ala loves it when we remember Him in a gathering. As a result, Allah ta'ala holds a gathering in the heavens and He remembers us alongside the angels.

May Allah ta'ala allow us to implement.
