Bayan Episode 43- The Last Asharah in Manchester

In Miskaat Shareef it is mentioned that on the day of Judgement, Allah ta'ala will call out, "Where are those who had love for others for my sake?" Allah ta'ala will shade such people under His mercy.

Such people will not be reckoned and will be sent to a special abode. Such people refer to those who perform dhikr. The dhaakir is he who remembers Allah ta'ala - His beloved, all the time.

Dhikr is not an insignificant action so, we should perform it regularly. Consequently, we will be included amongst those who love Allah ta'ala for the sake of Allah ta'ala and we will attain a high status. The more we love a person who performs dhikr, the more we will emulate him and reach a high status.

We should strive to become those people whom Allah ta'ala calls out to on the day of Qiyamah. The Hadith refers to true love and not the worldly love which is temporary. A person who loves without looking at loss or benefit. There is certainly love in this world, however, people are betrayed through love in this world. Here, this love refers to those who loved each other for the sake of Allah ta'ala. Such people who didn't love for the sake of money. They loved without any condition and hesitation.

We all demonstrate love for someone in this world and all bonds are based on love. Having said that, none of these examples of love are true because there is some greed, condition or worldly gain behind it. The love we develop must be for the sake of Allah ta'ala.

How is this love developed?

We don't prostate to the stones of the Ka'bah Shareef. However, we have a connection with the one who owns the Ka'bah Shareef. Allah ta'ala's splendour pulls us towards it and millions of people flock to it. This is because Allah ta'ala has released His brilliance upon the Ka'bah Shareef.

Similarly, Allah ta'ala has placed His brilliance within the AwliyahAllah which is why the believers are attached towards them. It is not the achievement of the waliAllah, rather, it is Allah ta'ala's glory within him. This is the bond between the beloveds.

The worship of those who have love Allah ta'ala is different. For example, the worship of Muraqabah.

When we perform Muraqabah, we try to embed the glory and love of Allah ta'ala and His attributes within our hearts and then we connect to Him. This is the objective of dhikr.

Through Muraqabah, we purify our hearts so that we can attain the levels of those who love for the sake of Allah ta'ala.

The path of the love of Allah ta'ala is very easy. It allows one to go above all the levels whilst making minimum effort. Such a person loves to remember Allah ta'ala and he does not find practicing Islam difficult.

Time is flying by really quickly and when someone passes away, we forget them eventually. This is a reality. We are all travelling towards our destination without realising. Thus, we should lead our lives with an objective.

There will be no one to assist us in the Hereafter. Today, we may commit Haraam for the sake of our family, but they will not help us on the day of Qiyamah. We must fuflil the rights of our children and relatives, however, we must utilise the permissible avenues according to Shariah.

We are waiting for death and the deceased are waiting for Qiyamah. We fear death and they fear judgment. On the day of Qiyamah, the sun will come down to its lowest point and we will be stood naked and drowning in our sweat.

Those who lived their lives according to the advice of the Prophet ﷺ, will live a smooth life and have no fear of death. People take benefit from them in this world and that's how they remain alive even after they pass away.

If we adhere to his advice, every stage of our life will be made easy for us and all our sorrows will be eliminated. Allah ta'ala grants us the solutions for the next stage of our life.

May Allah ta'ala allow us to implement. Ameen
