How Can We Benefit From This Dunya?

Allah ta'ala gives a high status to those who remember Him and all honour and rewards are placed in the action of dhikr. The one who elevates the name of Allah ta'ala, his name is elevated by Allah ta'ala in return.

Those who show reverence towards Allah ta'ala's name are rewarded despite their sins. It is not difficult for Allah ta'ala to purify an individual and remove his sins. Allah ta'ala grants guidance to whomsoever He wills. We should not waste the opportunity for guidance once it arrives, as this is an opportunity given by Allah ta'ala.

When a person remembers Allah ta'ala, no matter how ignorant and lazy he is, the effect of his dhikr impacts him and he begins to desire the pleasure of Allah ta'ala. Allah ta'ala has allowed us to recite His name so we should never consider it a minor action.

The Awliyah Allah would travel for many miles just to mention the name of Allah ta'ala. Merely glancing at those who have been elevated through taking His name will grant a person closeness to Allah ta'ala. This is the blessing placed in taking His name. A person never returns empty handed, nor does he lose out by sitting in the company of the Awliyah Allah.

If you have attached yourself to the name of Allah ta'ala, then you should never feel helpless despite the condition you are facing. The impact of Allah ta'ala's name will definitely surface and Allah ta'ala is surely pleased with a person who is attached to His dhikr.

We may approach this world in two ways. Although this world is wretched and impure, we were sent here with a purpose. Through living in this world, we must earn our Hereafter.

If we view this world as a place of gaining material benefit, then we will continue to receive worldly benefit, although these benefits will soon be taken from us and when we depart this world, no one will remember us.

On the other hand, if we view this world with the vision of the Hereafter and take benefit of this world for the sake of the Hereafter, then such a person is praised by Allah ta'ala and he is included amongst His selected servants. This is because he constantly overlooks the worldly benefits for the sake of earning for his Hereafter. He doesn't waste a minute earning for the Hereafter as he is always focused on it. Such a person receives permanent rewards and benefits after he passes away.

Those who practiced for the Hereafter whilst living in this world, Allah ta'ala will grant them beautiful delicacies in the Hereafter and beautiful gardens and palaces of Paradise. They will be praised and honoured by Allah ta'ala. They will be the guests of Allah ta'ala and He will host them. They will be served pure alcohol and placed under a beautiful intoxication through which they desperately desire the vision of Allah ta'ala. They will be reclining upon their thrones in discussion with the inhabitants of Paradise. Their maidens will have beautiful large eyes and they will have their eyes cast down out of modesty. Allah ta'ala Himself describes and glorifies the beauty of the maidens in the Quran.

True beauty lies in modesty. Those women who adorn themselves and fail to cover themselves before leaving their homes, will face punishment in the Hereafter. A woman should have no need to go out and work as beauty lies in being concealed.

If the womenfolk spend their life earning for their Hereafter, they will fit the description of the maidens in Paradise.

The inhabitants of Paradise will be sat with the pious people and they will remember those people of the world who prevented them from praying and remembering Allah ta'ala. They will recall those who would mock them for practicing the deen. Allah ta'ala will unravel the fate of such people to them and these people will be sat in the middle of Hellfire.

The inhabitants of Paradise will show gratitude to Allah ta'ala's blessing of sending a pious person to them in the world. They will realise that they were saved due to his company, otherwise the world would have dragged them towards its attractions and lead them astray. They will be thankful for the pious people who would encourage them to hasten towards Allah ta'ala. Thereafter, Allah ta'ala will announce their success.

Unfortunately, today we have no value of sitting in the company of the pious. It is our choice to decide what type of life we would like to lead. We should spend our time for the sake of Allah ta'ala and according to the necessities of this world and not beyond that. We should utilise our time proportionately and prepare for our Hereafter.

Our wealth and possession will soon be destroyed and the happiness and enjoyment of the world are temporary. In reality, we must earn our palaces in the Hereafter through living in this world.

How to acquire the success of the Hereafter?

By practicing the deen and changing the direction of our life, our destiny improves. We should have determination and courage. We should count our deeds and actions instead of counting our money.

We should immerse ourselves in the remembrance of Allah ta'ala as the worldly things will be eliminated within seconds and the enjoyment will soon disappear.

The special selected servants are the pure servants who constantly remember Allah ta'ala. Allah ta'ala takes responsibility of protecting such people from sins and darkness. Allah ta'ala will assist them and be with them. Such people should never be afraid or consider themselves alone. They should continue performing good deeds and know that Allah ta'ala will remove them from their difficulties.

Nafs and Shaytan make us lazy but when we begin engaging in dhikr, Allah ta'ala saves us from evil.

To determine whether Allah ta'ala's love has entered a person's heart, we must assess whether we have the love for the Sunnah as that is the sign of Allah ta'ala's love. We earn success once when we engage in dhikr and imitate the Sunnah, for without the Sunnah we cannot acquire the closeness to Allah ta'ala.

Through dhikr, a person's hesitation ends and the fear of other people's judgment towards him practicing the Sunnah is removed. He performs all actions through which Allah ta'ala is pleased. When a person develops this condition, it means that Allah ta'ala has accepted him.

May Allah ta'ala allow us to implement. Ameen
