For whom do Angels Make Dua?

A person passes through prosperity and adversity in his life so he faces many emotions.
During his prosperity, people will be by his side. However, when facing adversity, those who were with him during his prosperity, begin to abandon him. They make excuses to avoid him and then this person becomes depressed.

Allah ta'ala has prepared a great resource for both circumstances. Hadhrat Abu Dardah Radiyallahu anhu narrates that Nabi ﷺ said, a person who holds firm on to Dhikr during prosperity, is assisted through his Dhikr during his time of adversity. This is a great solution!

The people who engage in Dhikr should never feel sorrowful due to these Ahadith. The Dhaakireen are helped from unimaginable sources and means in this world.

A time of severe difficulty may fall upon a person whereby he cannot bear his calamity, however, his Dhikr comes to his assistance.

Hadhrat Salman Farsi Radiyallahu anhu narrates a similar Hadith, that when a person holds firm to Dhikr during prosperity, then the angels recognise his voice and they beseech Allah ta'ala on his behalf when he faces adversity.

The Dhikr of Allah ta'ala is the food for the soul and the Angels are connected to the soul, hence, when a person begins Dhikr, he forms a connection with them. When a man engages in Dhikr, the Angels gather and befriend him.

Although Allah ta'ala is All-Knowing, the Angels present this man's needs to Allah ta'ala and Allah ta'ala eliminates his problems immediately as the Angels Dua are accepted. This is the system Allah ta'ala has created.

The Angels pray for the one who engages in Dhikr. This is because Allah ta'ala wants to elevate the status of this individual through the testimony of the Angels.
A person who abandons Dhikr and holds no importance for it, particularly during prosperity, the Angels disregard him and do not intercede for him when he faces adversity and begins doing Dhikr.

Soon we will return to Allah ta'ala and this will be a severe time upon us. We will be isolated and surrounded by darkness in our grave and we will be faced with difficult times upon this journey. We should pull ourselves together in this world and prepare for the next phase of life. We shouldn't waste time running around earning. We should avoid amassing, making lengthy programmes and constructing houses everywhere. Soon we will leave this world just as we left the womb of our mother. Allah ta'ala has prepared resources for us in this world, in order to make our Hereafter the best. If you do good in this world, Allah ta'ala will manufacturer for you in the Hereafter. You earn here for the Hereafter and the Dhikr of Allah ta'ala is what constructs the palaces for us in Paradise, just like the message given to our Ummah by Hadhrat Ibrahim عليه السلام.

We should be so greedy in earning Paradise through the Dhikr of Allah because Paradise is a place where we will live forever. Nabi ﷺ stated that we will regret the time which we didn't spend engaging in the Dhikr of Allah ta'ala in this world. Those who have passed away are regretting the time they spent devoid of the Dhikr of Allah.

We will pass by many difficult stages in life but here Nabi ﷺ is promising us that the Angels will us assist us due to our Dhikr of Allah ta'ala. The Angels will descend in the grave bearing glad tidings for us. They will comfort and reassure us with the news of Paradise.

Allah ta'ala has given us time in the world to prepare. We shouldn’t pass time in jest and accumulating wealth. The Sahabah were the most intellectual and advanced human beings in the world. They were from the most progressive generation. They knew exactly how to amass wealth, yet they placed the world aside. They preferred torn shoes and a difficult lifestyle and didn't abandon the Dhikr of Allah ta'ala. We abandon Dhikr over small excuses but we to fail to realise that as soon as we pick up a Tasbih to remember Allah ta'ala, our Palaces are being constructed for us in Paradise.

Not a second should pass in our lives whereby we are not engaging in Dhikr. This is not because Allah ta'ala is in need of our Dhikr. Rather, we are in desperate need of Dhikr as it will remove our difficulties and elevate our status in the Hereafter.

Nabi ﷺ has mentioned that Dhikr is the greatest action which saves a person from the punishment of the grave. We should engage in Dhikr for this reason, not for ostentation or to gain Khilafah.

Allah ta'ala loves those who remember Him so much. We should befriend a pious person solely for the purpose of preparing for your Hereafter.
We should find those pious people who teach Dhikr in this world. We should sit in their company and learn Dhikr from them. We should be obedient and perform Dhikr as they instruct without following our own desires.

When the twig is detached from the branch, the leaves dry up and die. When the twig is attached, the leaves are green and lush. Similarly, when a student attaches himself to his teacher, he is full of life and energy, and he receives the blessings of his teacher. When the student detaches himself, he won't receive the benefits and blessings from his teacher.

Allah ta'ala's Mercy and blessings descends via the teacher, so if we desire to achieve this, we must adhere to the Guide and connect with them. The more you sit with them, the more prepared you will become for your Hereafter and sorrows of the world will not affect you.

The Dhikr of the heart requires no effort. The heart is continuously absorbed in Allah ta'ala's remembrance. The Naqshbandi student who is attached to a Naqshbandi teacher, all his limbs are immersed in Dhikr and every stone he walks pass, testifies that he is a Dhaakir.

May Allah ta'ala allow us to implement.

SubhanAllah we had no idea of what the afdhal dhikr was until Allah introduced us to our beloved Hadhrat sahib. What a treasure Allah has gifted Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah. May the graves of all the Mashaikh Naqshbandi of this noble silsila be enlightened and may my Sheikh be the neighbour of Muhammad Sallahu Alayhi Wasalaam ameen.
