The Dhikr of Allah ta'ala has countless benefits which have been mentioned in the Quran and Hadith.

Dhikr makes a person a proper human being. The word انسان (human being), is derived from انس, (friendliness and love.) Whoever has this quality, is a human being. The purpose of a human, isn't to fulfil his desires, eat and sleep. The animals do the same, and they also procreate. Therefore, what is the difference between Mankind and animals?

Due to our sins and wrongdoing, our appearances have become transformed into animals.

The one who is considered a true human being, is he who doesn't lie. He doesn't oppress and consume the rights of others. He doesn't commit fraud, nor does he have pride over himself. He is the one who controls his anger and doesn't become enraged with revenge.

In reality, the true human being is free from these defects. The habitual liar will be raised as a liar. The one who gossiped, will be recognised through this quality. Thus, such people will be raised in the Hereafter and given titles according to their habits and wrongdoing. On the other hand, the true human being, is free from such titles.

Worship does not make a person, a true human being. Rather, the qualities that arise through worship, are what makes a person, a proper human being.

The objective of visiting the pious, is to become a true human being. Nabi ﷺ stated, "The parable of one who remembers his Lord and one who does not remember, is that of the living and the dead.” [Bukhari]

All creation remember Allah ta'ala and through this worship, they are sustained. Every creature has its own Tasbih and it cannot exist without the remembrance of Allah ta'ala.
Allah ta'ala says, لَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا الْإِنسَانَ فِي أَحْسَنِ تَقْوِيمٍ

"We have certainly created Man in the best of stature." [95:4]

Human beings are unique creatures because Allah ta'ala has granted them capacity and goodness within them. The true human being feeds others, before he feeds himself. He makes sacrifices for others and gives priority to others. He takes pity on others and is generous. Such a human being becomes enlightened because Dhikr makes a person alive.

Whoever intends to do Dhikr in order to become a Saint or to host Dhikr himself, can never attain success. Dhikr is performed for one reason, and that is, so you can become a proper human being and be raised as a proper human being.

Everything has an effect. The effect of water is that it quenches the thirst. Allah ta'ala has placed a beautiful effect within Dhikr, that it makes a person, a proper human being.
When Dhikr begins to impact a person's heart, he notices his inner maladies and sicknesses himself. When a person begins to see his own defects, it means that his Dhikr is truly meaningful. He does not need to go to a Mufti to seek what is right or wrong. Rather, Allah ta'ala enables our hearts to recognise the wrong and when we engage in wrongdoing, then our hearts become devoid of peace.

A true believer feels guilty every moment and does not overlook what is lacking inside him. He never considers himself pious, nor is he proud of himself.

When a person does Dhikr, his rectification and improvement occurs within. This is why we visit a pious person.

It is the Greatest Mercy from Allah ta'ala, that He connects our heart with a Wali Allah especially in this day and age. The Awliyah Allah, are a great means to attain forgiveness which is something very much needed in our era of difficulty. There is great power in the pious person's Dua. Through the Dua of the great Awliyah Allah, a person may be forgiven and be given a high status in both worlds as shown through many stories of the past.

As Qiyamah approaches, the pious people will reduce. Therefore, it is our duty to search for them, so that we can become rectified. We should be thankful to Allah ta'ala that He has shown us the straight path, as there is no success without it.

We should also be thankful to Allah ta'ala, that in this era of drought and extreme thirst, Allah ta'ala has illuminated the light of the Great, Hadhrat Sheikh Ali Murtaza رحمة الله عليه.
He attained the Faiz of very Great Shuyookh and now we also receive this Faiz, so we should value this greatly.

A true human being becomes more conscious of his actions. He doesn't attain miracles from his Dhikr. Rather, his Dhikr causes him to attain success from his Sheikh's company.

A person who works on his cleanliness and rectification, attains true success. We should cry to Allah ta'ala and plead to Him. Allah ta'ala loves it when we seek His help and wish to improve ourselves.

We should keep in mind that, whatever is in our destiny, will definitely occur.

We should pray, "Oh Allah, Grant me such strong conviction, that I will definitely acquire whatever is in my destiny and make me content with Your decree."

Why are we depressed and overly concerned about worldly matters? Instead, we should be concerned over those things which we will be accountable for.

We wish to rectify and improve our generations, but it all starts from our self. We should encourage our children to sit in the company of the pious and generate Dhikr in their hearts.

Regarding a person who fails to perform Hajj, Nabi ﷺ has said, "Whoever possesses provisions and a mount that would enable him to reach the House of Allah, but does not do Hajj, it would not matter if he dies as a Jew or a Christian." [Tirmidhi]

If a person doesn't go for Hajj without a valid excuse, then he is cursed for the entire year.

Hadhrat Aishah رضي الله عنها narrated in Abu Dawud, that Nabi ﷺ said, "To perform Tawaf of the Ka'bah, to perform Sa'ee and to pelt the Shayateen, are all actions performed to elevate the Remembrance of Allah ta'ala."

May Allah ta'ala grant us the ability to implement.
