Who is Superior?

Different people have different ranks in this world. Every person lives a lifestyle according to his status. The difference is due to one's wealth. He who has more money, will have a higher status in life. This is why we usually aim to earn more in this world, so that we can have an improved status. Thereafter, a person begins to depend on his money and tries to earn more, so he can become wealthy.

In reality, these worldly states are temporary and will not benefit us in the Hereafter. Allah ta'ala has described Paradise in the Quran with beautiful description. When our children are born, we plan their lives and as they grow up, we consider which profession they will take, in order for them to earn more. This is because we are aware of the worldly system.

Allah ta'ala has also given us a program for the Hereafter. This world is short and fleeting and the reality is that, soon will we be transferred to the next life. Allah ta'ala has also given us information regarding the Hereafter. We should ponder over the verses of Paradise mentioned in the Quran. Even in Paradise, there will be different levels and a person will regret why he did not achieve a higher level in Paradise.

In reality, the Hereafter is a permanent abode so why should we settle for something less in Paradise? We strive to build Palaces in this world, but why are we content with a council-house in Paradise when we will live there forever?

Allah ta'ala has described Paradise for us so that we can strive to attain it. The ranks we achieve in this world, are due to our wealth, and the ranks we achieve in the Hereafter, are due to our deeds. We should focus on earning more deeds in this world, because we are the manufacturers of our Palaces in Paradise.

Hadhrat Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه narrates that Nabi ﷺ said, when a person makes an intention and leaves home to depart for the Masjid, his deed is completed based on his intention. So everything is based on intention and a person's deeds are recorded through his intentions.

Occasionally, one may intend to perform a good deed, yet he is not able to fulfil it, due to an obstruction or a sickness. However, this person will still be given the reward due to his intention.

We should make an intention to attend the Dhikr Gatherings and listen to the talks. If a person attends, and implements what he hears, then his rewards will multiply.

Nabi ﷺ mentions, that whomsoever makes an intention for a good deed, he is given the reward of a complete Hajj.

On one occasion, a Sahabi asked Nabi ﷺ, "Who will be the greatest person in the Hereafter, the closest to Allah ta'ala and the best human being from all?"
Nabi ﷺ replied, "those people who remember Allah ta'ala in abundance."

So, we understand that success is based upon this learning. For example, we are aware, that if we adopt a certain trade or profession in the world, we will earn a good income. Similarly, we should acquire that wealth which will make us the greatest person on the day of Qiyamah.

Nabi ﷺ has mentioned a very simple and small formula and the highest rank in Paradise will be acquired through this action. Therefore, it is very foolish to leave the Dhikr of Allah ta'ala. We should find a teacher, take hold of his learning and spend our life implementing his teachings.

There is no easier worship than Dhikr. Even if you are dirty, even if you are reclining, you can still perform Dhikr and you will acquire Paradise through it. You don't have to work hard at all. You can perform Dhikr with your heart after learning Dhikr from a teacher. In such a way, you will earn Paradise.

The first attack of Shaytan is to make a person lazy and negligent from Dhikr. Shaytan will influence you with negative whispers and encourage you to perform immoral actions. If a person is devoid of Dhikr, then he is misguided and he earns the most loss. This is why we shouldn't leave Dhikr and we should include Dhikr in our daily schedule, alongside our other worship and alongside studying knowledge.

We are in the era of laziness, so, Allah ta'ala has prepared excellent resources for us through technology. We have easy access to join the Dhikr Gatherings, morning and evening, therefore, those who cannot attend in person, may join in the Dhikr Gathering online. Women and children should also attend the Dhikr Gatherings and thus, they may also earn Paradise.

We will be held accountable for our laziness whilst Allah ta'ala has given us the resources and means to remember Him. Therefore, we have no excuses for not attending the Dhikr Gatherings.

The greatest way to be grateful for our health is to remember Allah ta'ala. The more healthy you are, the more Dhikr you should perform, in order to earn Paradise.

May Allah ta'ala allow us to implement.
