Bayan in Bradford

We are human beings and are prone to sin. We worship and then we commit sin. We sin and then we repent and the cycle continues. Thus, Allah ta'ala has prepared the fantastic resource of dhikr for us. If we engage in dhikr according to the method it has been prescribed to us, the special angels of the throne will pray for our forgiveness and there will be light upon the earth for us. This means that the Dhaakir can never be in the darkness and his light will never extinguish.

يُخْرِجُهُم مِّنَ الظُّلُمَاتِ إِلَى النُّورِ
"He brings them out of every darkness into light." [2:257]

A person cannot see in darkness but the Dhaakir has a unique light which lights up his heart. Allah ta'ala takes the heart out from the darkness and illuminates the heart through the dhikr of Allah. Through this, he is able to recognise halal and haraam and the consequences of his actions. The light within him causes him to remain alive and he notices the sins for their reality. Thus, he is prevented from missing prayers and cutting his beard. He will not question nor seek proof. He will not be a wasteful person.

We sin because we are in the darkness and if there's no light within a person, it is difficult for him to be guided. He will not understand the benefits behind good actions. However, as soon he begins doing dhikr, he understands the reality and therefore, becomes safe from sin.

We were created for the purpose of remembering Allah ta'ala, so we shouldn't fall short or tire remembering Him. Dhikr is limitless, so we should make our heart engage in dhikr limitlessly. This is because, we are not praising any Man nor King. Rather, we are praising The One whom no one in the world is worthy of praising. So if we cannot praise Allah for what Allah ta'ala deserves, then how can we limit the praise of Allah? So dhikr should be done abundantly and limitlessly to depict Allah ta’ala's greatness.

Once, Nabi ﷺ passed by a graveyard and placed a green twig upon a grave as its inhabitant was being punished. This twig was moist with life so it was mentioned that until it dried up, the persons punishment would be reduced. As long as the twig remained green, it continued doing dhikr.

From this incident we learn that, there is nothing in this world which doesn't do the dhikr of Allah. Anything which doesn't do dhikr is heedless and negligent. Furthermore, Allah's dhikr contains many blessings. If one branch can remove punishment, then imagine the condition of the grave of the one who himself performed dhikr in his life. How enlightened his grave will become!

It is also been mentioned that there is no greater action than the dhikr of Allah ta'ala which will save a person from the punishment of the grave.

We also learn that the person who passes away is still connected to the people of the world. In other Religions, they cremate the bodies, but Islam gives the deceased a respectful send off through washing and through shrouding the body with the colour Nabi ﷺ liked the most.

We should not disconnect ourselves from our deceased. We should not forget them and we should send Isaale Thawaab to them frequently.
Allah ta'ala has opened 3 doors of connection. 1) Donate Sadaqah on their behalf and give in charity to prepare yourself for the grave too. 2) Spread the knowledge you have. Propagate deen with genuine sincerity and good character. This is charity for your deceased. 3) Engage in dhikr

The one who does dhikr, his heart remains alive all the time even in the grave and he will enter paradise smiling. Dhikr doesn't allow a person to die. He is merely transferred to his next destination alive. The Dhaakir is not afraid to die.

Spend your wealth on good causes. Don't be stingy. You won't be deprived through spending in the way of Allah ta'ala.
There are 2 parts to our body. The physical and the spiritual body. Just like we nourish our bodies, we should nourish and strengthen our souls with the dhikr of Allah and avoid neglecting our souls.

The soul of a Dhaakir is so strong that it enables a person to keep fasts for 2 months. The body doesn't pray or fast, it is the soul which prays. The more stronger the soul is, the more beautiful and improved a persons worship will be.

Many people complain that there children and wives do not pray, but the real solution for this is to feed the soul through dhikr.
We should make a habit to feed our souls breakfast before we feed our bodies. Close your eyes and focus on your heart for 5 minutes, then your soul will be vitalised and you'll have the strength to perform dhikr.

There are 2 methods of dhikr. Verbally with the tongue and the dhikr of the heart.
We should keep our tongue pure with the remembrance of Allah. Naturally, the tongue tires from remembrance and it ceases when a person sleeps and eats. So Allah ta'ala created the dhikr of heart which you learn from the wali Allah. Through this, your heart is always in the state of dhikr and your worldly affairs will not be disrupted. You engage in your worldly affairs whilst your heart is continually occupied in the dhikr of Allah alongside. In reality, your heart takes His name, even if you cant sense it.

If you're doing dhikr but sinning alongside, then you won't succeed. Engage in dhikr, but also try to abstain from sin at the same time.

فَبَايِعْهُنَّ وَاسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُنَّ اللَّهَ ۖ إِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ
.."Then accept their pledge, and ask Allah to forgive them. Surely Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful." [66:12]

Whoever takes bayah sincerely, then Nabi ﷺ prays for his forgiveness. Allah ta'ala forgives all his sins and he becomes pure just like he was given birth to. Allah ta'ala rewards him and converts all his sins into good deeds. Thus, he becomes a pious person.
Thereafter, a person should safeguard this blessing through doing dhikr in morning and the evening and become regular in it. Perform your worldly duties, but don't be negligent of the dhikr as you will have blessings in your life this way.

Adopt the Sunnah ways and teach your children. Those who wear the Imamah Shareef carry light within their hearts and this is by the will of Allah as it is not an easy action to perform nowadays. These little children are enabled to wear the Imamah shareef because they are the children of those who engage in dhikr. Some great Shaykhul hadith do not adorn the Imamah Shareef but today we have little children practicing upon the Ahadith and the Sunnah of Nabi ﷺ.

May Allah ta'ala grant us the ability to implement.

One of the greatest gift from Allah upon us is the company of Hadhrat sahib. It is only in the company of my dear sheikh that the true reality and straight forward deen is explained. Where solutions are given for our islaah Alhamdulillah. May the dhikr of Allah and the fuyooz continue to spread far and wide. Ameen
