Allah created Mankind as the best of Creation. This is our glory. All creation will be destroyed in the afterlife besides Mankind. We will be transferred from this temporary world to the next permanent world and reckoned.
What is complete obedience to Allah?
To believe in Allah and to obey Allah's orders without any proofs and without harbouring doubts. سَمِعْنَا وَأَطَعْنَا - "We hear and we obey." [2:285]
فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
"So fear Allah and obey me." [26:108]
Obedience to Nabi صلي الله عليه وسلم is not separate from Allah's obedience. When we obey Nabi صلي الله عليه وسلم, infact we are obeying Allah ta'ala. When we fear Allah, then only can we become a Muttaqi.
Allah ta'ala created Nabi صلي الله عليه وسلم to make it easy for us to live our lives obeying Allah through imitating him.
وَمَن يُطِعِ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ فَقَدْ فَازَ فَوْزًا عَظِيمًا
"And whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger, has truly achieved a great triumph." [33:71]
When Nabi صلي الله عليه وسلم invites people to himself, Allah says that he is actually inviting them to Allah Himself. The one who obeys Allah in this world, has successfully prepared for his Hereafter.
We obey Allah ta'ala in order to attain His pleasure, not for the sake of attaining Paradise and the greatest reward lies in attaining His pleasure.
When a person commits a sin, then he has no fear of Allah within him. To become a Muttaqi and a obedient slave of Allah, you must possess the fear of Allah. The more a person fears Allah, the more he will obey Allah and abandon sin. The less fear of Allah he has, the more he will challenge and oppose Allah.
وَلَوْ أَنَّ أَهْلَ الْقُرَىٰ آمَنُوا وَاتَّقَوْا لَفَتَحْنَا عَلَيْهِم بَرَكَاتٍ مِّنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ
"Had the people of those towns believed and been God-fearing, We would certainly have opened up to them blessings from the heavens and the earth." [7:96]
Due to a person possessing the fear of Allah, Allah will shower upon him blessings from the heavens and the earth.
Fear and obedience of Allah come hand in hand and Allah discerns between us through our level of fear for Him.
إِنَّمَا يَخْشَى اللَّهَ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ الْعُلَمَاءُ
"Only those of His slaves fear Allah who are knowledgeable." [35:28]
The true Aalim, knowledgeable person is the one who posseses the fear of Allah. Merely possessing knowledge does not make one a friend of Allah so we shouldn't be deceived by titles. Only one who has fear of Allah is deserving of respect and honour regardless of how much of a degraded person he is considered in society.
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَكُونُوا مَعَ الصَّادِقِينَ
"Oh you who believe, Fear Allah and be with the truthful ones.” [9:119]
To become obedient and close to Allah, we require the fear of Allah and for that, we require the company of a pious person.
نہ کتابوں سے نہ وعظوں سے نہ زر سے پیدا
دین ہوتا ہے بزرگوں کی نظر سے پیدا
“Deen is not obtained from Kitaabs, lectures or wealth. Deen will only be obtained by remaining in the company of the Ahlullah."
Adopt your Sheikh's company with the sole intention of seeking Allah and submitting. Fix and strengthen the connection with your Sheikh and that will strengthen your connection with Allah.
Islaah, (self-reformation) is not achieved through Quran and Hadith, rather it is attained through the company of your Sheikh.
When one obeys his Sheikh, then he is able to obey Allah. Connect with a Sheikh for the sake of Allah and not for ulterior motives. That is the true connection. We should visit our Sheikh with the intention of instilling fear within our hearts.
To obey Allah completely means to obey His commands in every aspect of life without considering benefit or loss.
Worldly blessings aren't a reflection of Allah's pleasure. Rather, the obedience of Allah will grant one Allah's pleasure.
When faced with the temptation of sin, envision the countenance of your Sheikh and you will abandon that sin. This is a tip our pious predecessors have prescribed for us.
Seek a Sheikh by supplicating and repenting to Allah and then Allah will select a pious person for you. When you find him, hold on to him firmly without any reservations.
Hold your Sheikh in high regard because he connects you with Allah, the Most High.
May Allah ta'ala make us sincere Muslims.
