Reason for committing sin

Alhamdulillah praise be to Allah, with well being and with goodness and with peace Allah subhaanahu wa ta'ala, Allah ta'ala has to us, through this blessed and excellent month, Allah ta'ala has given us the opportunity to pass through this month. Such a great month. Such a month of blessings. About which the Holy Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam stated that any individual who is in the state of Imaan, belief and his intention is correct and he enters into this month, then Allah ta'ala will forgive all of his previous sins. Now here, there is no restriction or prerequisite that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam has applied that this person was very bad, he committed too many sins or "no this person is not included, he was doing impure, evil actions." Or "no this person he won't be forgiven because he had alot of defects, he won't be included in the forgiveness, etc." Such a great and blessed month, such a supreme month that the most sinful of sinful individuals that when he enters into this month and he keeps the fast, when he goes towards fast and his niyyah, his intention is to fast, not for dieting, not for some other reason. The other people from other faiths, they also fast, but there should be a condition here in Ramadan that he should have faith, Imaan and the niyyah. Then doesn't matter how impure and sinful you are but when you enter into this month then Allah will forgive all the previous sins of that person. So the muffassireen, the commentators have given a good answer in regards to this point. That that person has embarked on an action. SubhaanAllah this is a statement of my Hadhrat Sahib. He said , "Kam te lag gya ae." In other words, he's got to the task. He has started action. And what action has he started? He has started to go towards his Islaah. His rectification. SubhaanAllah. Allahu akbar. So this is a very beautiful point that we need to understand. And the point is this, that even though that person was very sinful and he wasn't pious but when he came into this month and entered into Ramadan and started to keep the fast, then why did the person become so great? Because this month that has arrived, it has come with an objective and that objective is that it has come to purify every individual, every human being who is fasting. So here a unique thing I'd like to say to you, shall I say it so that you can inshaaAllah understand what I am saying because this Majlis is a gathering of the Awliyah Allah so this is a very good piece of news that when a person goes to a Sheikh, a teacher and he has two things. He has Imaan, and his niyyah, intention is that he wants to do his Islaah. Rectification. Say SubhaanAllah. So this is related to Ramadan. Yes. So a person when he goes to a teacher, a Wali Allah, a Sheikh, and he has the niyyah for Islaah and 'I've come to improve myself' and he comes for Islaah, improvement. With this niyyah, then alhamdulillah that will be the same as he just came into Ramadan with Imaan, with that niyyah. So just like in Ramadan, the previous sins are removed, in the same way, when he goes to a Sheikh, a teacher, with the right intention and Imaan, then his previous sins will be removed because both do the same thing. In Ramadan there is Tazkiyah and with a Sheikh also there is Tazkiyah alhamdulillah. That's why he's gone there, because he wants to do his Islaah. So here we also should look at our niyyah. Our intention. That this is Allah's Fadl and Grace that through these learnings we are realising what is Ramadan. The fast that we are keeping, Allah ta'ala is implementing our Islaah. He is doing our Tazkiyah. He is cleaning us. He is purifying us. What is Tazkiyah? That our defects and wrongdoings, Allah ta'ala is cleaning and is making us aware and understand so we can remove them. When you go to a Sheikh, the Sheikh also makes you realise what you are doing wrong. You didn't know anything at that time and the Sheikh reminds you, you have this sin inside you. You have this defect inside you. You do this wrong. You do this. Etc. Nicely. And there are different Sheikh's. Different styles. Some do it with a stick. Some do it with love and some do it through Tazkiyah sheets. Yes that's the name of this system. The Tazkiyah sheets. So whichever individual, male, female, implements these Tazkiyah sheets, then I'll call him and say to him the same statement that, "Kam te lag gya ae." He has embarked on the journey. He is working now. He is working hard. So alhamdulillah this is Allah ta'ala's Mercy. Allah is Raheem, Kareem, Ghafoor. He doesn't want to send us into Jahannam. He hasn't sent us into this world to send us to Jahannam. He hasn't given us Imaan to go into Jahannam. Allah's Rahmat is on every footstep, on every footstep of our life, there is Mercy of Allah. In the hadith it states that somehow or another, I want my servant to go into paradise, that's why Allah ta'ala's mercy seeks excuses that somehow this man or woman goes into Jannah. Allah doesn't look at sins always. Always Allah ta'ala wants that it doesn't matter how impure and sinful you are, for that individual Allah ta'ala prepares such ways out for us sinful people. The pious people will go into paradise but for us sinful people, Allah says that, "go to a Sheikh, go to a teacher, have niyyah for Islaah and go there and have the right intention to be improved and sit down." Even if you're succeeding or failing, but you will be forgiven. SubhaanAllah. Why? Because Ramadan has given us that same message that you came and you came for Tazkiyah and Allah ta'ala sent you into this month of Ramadan to purify you, to clean you and you are ready and you have acted and you have moved towards Tazkiyah but how? Because you have started fasting. For that person who keeps the fast. Because he started on that journey isn't it? Of his Islaah. So he starts, he fasts and he doesn't know and all he knows is that Allah's hukm is that you kept the fast. So because he has travelled and embarked on the journey towards Tazkiyah and islaah and he is starting to work and make effort, Allah gives him the good news, that the previous sins, all of them, get forgiven. So here there is a point. That Allah ta'ala, this has come into the mind of the faqeer and he's sharing it with you. That if somebody asks you,
Allah ta'ala says, "I have forgiven all of your sins, but what about the sins to come then?" SubhaanAllah. So what about the sins that I will commit after this, that automatically Allah ta'ala has prepared to forgive those sins. How? That when the human being does this action, you've kept the fast and after keeping the fast you've made the niyyah that "oh Allah I want to do my Islaah." Then Allah ta'ala says I'll make you the Muttaqi. Due to this. What does Allah ta'ala make us? A Muttaqi. And what is a Muttaqi? His glory is that he doesn't then commit the sins afterwards. SubhaanAllah. So the future sins. He is free from that inshaaAllah. Because Allah ta'ala puts a machine inside him that he has such awareness and recognition of sins. He is not an angel but he has the awareness and understanding. The Muttaqi, the individual, so much that he attains Taqwa, becomes a Muttaqi. That if he commits a sin then he has such a principle and such a feeling it is just like a needle has pricked his body, quickly take it out. Quickly take it out. If he does something wrong afterwards then he doesn't stop there. He is upset. He feels down. He is distressed and he says, "ooh I am not feeling at peace." Until he doesn't eliminate that sin or action, he doesn't feel at ease. On his status, on his level, however much his Taqwa is. So when a person, he feels down, then that's good. But when he says, "oh its okay it doesn't make any difference," then this cannot be Taqwa. If a Muttaqi, the definition is that everyone, every human being can commit a sin, but with difficulty he commits a sin and close to him, it's not in his eyes a small sin, even the so-called small scale sin seems to him to be massive. For example, if you're sat with somebody and you feel that he is upset with you and then you'll start to get worried. "Yaar, why is he upset with me? Why is he unhappy with me? Have I said something wrong? Even though there's nothing there. Is he unhappy with me, is he angry with me. Have I said something wrong to him? Have I pained him? Have I given difficulty to him? He was sat with me, he was talking with me. Today he has not spoken to me. And it is not necessary that a person will always speak to you or sit with you but if he has that much of awareness within him, that individual, that maybe there is something wrong. This shouldn't be the case. "He should be at least talking to me." Then he is upset for that. So this is Taqwa. The more a person has taqwa and fear of Allah, the more khawf he has for Allah. SubhaanAllah this is the sign of Taqwa. Remember this. That when a person starts to do his Tazkiyah then SubhaanAllah he can distinguish and recognise halaal and haraam but he cannot imagine going towards the wrong after that. So these 2 things, just like Ramadan teaches us, Allah ta'ala said, because he has started to make effort, he has started to work. He has kept the fast and he wants to do his Islaah and his Islaah is taking place during the fast. And all the defects are slowly coming out, coming out. We see it today. We are talking about the same point today isn't it? Taqwa. Because the meaning of Ramadan, what else can I speak about in Ramadan? For which purpose Ramadan has come, that's what we should speak about. Ramadan has come for the Sufi's alhamdulillah. لعلكم تتقون.
Clearly Allah has said that my Ramadan, sending Ramadan is only one purpose. One objective. That we sit down. Me. You. Ramadan says I have come to purify you. I have come to do your Tazkiyah. I have come to clean you. Consider me to be a Sheikh says Ramadan. You've come into my company. You are connected to me. So every sickness and disease. A person starts to analyse and think. But now we recognise and we are aware more that this month isn't for worship alone but rather, for cleaning us. For purifying us. So we need to start focusing more on our deficiencies. "So I have got these problems, these problems, I have got this sin inside me." Just like today, I'd like to share with you one point. That everything, success in life that will come to us in life. Allah ta'ala has given us such a thing inside us, such an organ, that due to that, our life is continuing and what is that? That is khawf. The feeling and emotion that Allah ta'ala has put inside of us. So when we for example, get up and hasten to work in the morning, it is khawf, otherwise nobody would get out from bed. "If I don't go to work today, my wife and children. They'll fall hungry. They'll die hungry." So we will have this khawf that where will we eat from and earn from. "So no I need to go to work." That khawf, that fear, will drive you, take you towards work otherwise there will be double work. You'd never have an occupation. So fear and concern makes a human being achieve big things. "No yaar, If I don't buy a house then where will all my children live? They will have no home, no roof over their head." He will have that khawf and he says, "I need to work more." And he works even more. So he's running after the dunya, working in the dunya to earn. What has made him do that? The khawf, that feeling, the fear. Some people are cautious. What shall I be cautious about? "Ooh I don't want to have an illness. I don't want to have corona. I don't want to be sick." He has that khawf. So it is the fear, concern in the dunya, something that pushes us in the dunya towards doing things, that is khawf, fear. Yes. So what happens is that, with this Maqsad, Allah hasn't given us khawf for this purpose. So Ramadan is reminding us this. Allah ta'ala is giving us Khawf, fear, for something, we don't have that fear. We dont have that fear. Say SubhaanAllah. Yes for our child, for our wife, for our children we have fear that they will fall hungry, for paying the bills of the house, we are afraid, we are scared, we are concerned. We run after work. For sickness, we have fear, we'll start taking medicines. For the fear of not having an accident, we will drive slower. We are afraid that thieves might come to our house, we have padlocks and locks on the house. Would we fix padlocks to our house if we didn't have the fear of theft? We have the fear that someone will steal our car, so we install an alarm. One khawf. But Allah ta'ala hasn't given us that khawf for that reason. We don't have the right khawf inside us that, "maybe Allah will be unhappy with me I shouldn't do this action." That's the khawf we should have. So this is a big thing lacking inside us, that all the wrong actions you see today around us, all of the wrong things that are developed or generated inside a person is because he doesn't have the khawf. The fear. We have all the other fears but the fear of Allah has ended inside that person. It has disappeared. Allah ta'ala's khawf. If we had fear of Allah, then would we leave salaah? If we had fear of Allah, would we leave saalah in congregation, Jama'ah? The customer. If we weren't afraid of the customer not coming, we are stood in the shop or business place, workplace and adhan is being heard and we are not leaving that place for salaah because we don't have the fear of Allah, otherwise I think at the same time if I leave my workplace then my work will go down. A person for example is leaving Jumuah but he's not leaving his shop or his workplace and he could come with ease to salaah. He is rejecting Allah's Ahkaam. Allah's orders, against what? Because he doesn't have the fear of Allah. So all the haraam and unlawful actions that nafs and Shaytaan create in our life, there is only one reason for that. We don't have the fear of Allah inside us. If we had the fear of Allah inside us then we'd have the fear of the grave. We'd have the fear of the Hereafter. We'd have the fear that one day we will stand infront of Allah. So if we don't grab that disease, that sickness. If someone has a lighter amount of fear that this is the punishment for Haraam and tomorrow I have to stand infront of Allah and Allah says if you consume haraam, then that dua of that person doesn't even go up. And he is doing sajdah upon sajdah, upon sajdah. Allah ta'ala says a person who consumes haraam, his dua won't even be accepted. Then? So tell me. If I had fear and I knew that my dua is not being accepted or listened to. Wll he consume haraam that person? Rather he will be very careful. Extremely careful. Hadhrat Imam Abu Hanifah Rahmatullahi Alayh, look at the taqwa, the fear of Allah. Those who were the Muttaqi, who had fear inside of them. Hadhrat Imam Abu Hanifah Rahmatullahi Alayh, he was a businessman, he was a taajir, he had a cloth trade, he had a big business in Iraq. And you know for example when the clouds would come, he would then close his shop and he would go home. Somebody asked him what is the reason for this Hadhrat that you are quickly closing your shop and you are leaving today. What is the point? What is the reason? He said the reason is this that the clouds are formed and then it gets dark and then I'm afraid at that time that if someone comes to get the cloth from me, he can't see clearly in the darkness, I don't want that he purchases the wrong cloth and there's a defect in that cloth and he takes what he doesn't want. How will I answer to Allah subhaanahu wa ta'ala?
Allahu akbar. SubhaanAllah. Yes. My sale. The transaction. It would be less in the barakah. He said , "10 days if this happened I won't do it for 10 days. " One day he was in the heat, in the extreme heat, under the sun, He didn't become Hadhrat Imam Abu Hanifah Rahmatullahi Alayh for nothing. He didn't become Imaam due to his knowledge, but due to his Taqwa.
There's 2 types of Aalim, remember that. One is a Muttaqi, the Aalim with the Taqwa, and the other is the Aalim without Taqwa. The Aalim who has Taqwa, he is Imaan Ahmad Bin Hanbal Rahmatullahi Alayh, Imam Abu Hanifah Rahmatullahi Alayh, Imaam Malik Rahmatullahi Alayh. They are also human being like us. They studied the same Bukhari shareef, the same Sahih Sittah, book of hadith and Quran like we do but the difference is. My Hadhrat sahib said, i'll share his statement with you, "the difference was that he adopted the path of Taqwa, fear of Allah and with the fear of Allah, he distanced himself from the wrong. Imaam Ahmad Bin Hanbal Rahmatullahi Alayh, once there was a faqeer, humble servant with torn clothes and he was on a camel or a horse and he had the rein and he was infront and he was sat on top. SubhaanAllah he sat ontop of the horse. And his Imaam, holding the reins. That he's the imaam of his time, recognition, reputation, his fatwa used to be accepted. Imaam Ahmad Bin Hanbal Rahmatullahi Alayh. Great personality. Great scholar. Recognised across the world. The Imaam of his time and people were surprised that Imaam, that he, this faqeer, poor man, he is on the horse and you are holding the reins and dragging the horse along by foot. And SubhaanAllah what an answer. He said, "you call him faqeer, Imaam Ahmad Bin Hanbal Rahmatullahi Alayh became what he is due to that person. Due to his suhbat and company, I attained Taqwa. He is my Sheikh. My teacher." So my brothers, Taqwa is what we need to adopt and bring in to our lives. Why? Because we don't have khawf, we don't have fear. How will I save myself from the wrong? Yes. How Allah ta'ala has said in the Quran, Allah says when you read the Quran and recite the Quran, the Quran tells you a few things, just a few things. What is halaal, haraam, mutashabbihaat, doubtful things. The Quran is not a jackanory tale story, is it? Folktales. So if you approach the Quran with this principle, you go to a Sheikh, a teacher and you say, "I want to learn Taqwa, whether you're an Aalim, non Aalim, Jaahil, ignorant, sinful." When he enters into the company of Ramadan then SubhaanAllah, Allah ta'ala says he's come for Taqwa and the Maqaam of Taqwa is so high Allah says, "I forgive all of his sins." Because he has gone on to the right path, the right journey, to the destination, with the right niyyah. Say SubhaanAllah. So what was this? The khawf, fear within a person and what is inside us? We don't have khawf. We don't have fear of Allah. Totally not. If we had fear. We say that we are so much. We become big heads and we claim to be so much but we follow our desires. Khawf and fear of Allah is that alhamdulillah, that anything that Allah ta'ala gives to you, a message and you learn that Allah is unhappy due to your action. The result should be there immediately infront of you. The result of our dhikr should come. The result of our Mujaahadah, making an effort should come in our lives, the result of Ramadan should be apparent and clear infront of us. Allah ta'ala says, "I have sent you to Ramadan to become Muttaqi, I send you to the company of the Wali Allah to become a Muttaqi and how much Taqwa have you learnt there? Is there a difference in your life from before and now after going to the company of the teachers, is there a difference in your lifestyle? Tell me, is there any difference?" Allah ta'ala will ask you that, "I sent you into the company of a Wali Allah my friend, what did you learn in his company? What difference came to your life? Alhamdulillah alhamdulillah this sinful person, I can speak from my own personal experience. This is the path of Haqq. Truth. SubhaanAllah. That when I went alhamdulillah, I went to Hadhrat Sahib, my Sheikh, in my first sitting with my Sheikh, the difference came to my life. In my first dialogue with Hadhrat sahib, just like that, he was sat on the prayer mat. I give you the example of mine for this reason because I am worse than the dust on your shoes but I give examples so that you can believe in what I am saying. When I give you examples , people say, "oh this is someone else," so I won't give you a third party reference, I'll give you my example because at least you'll believe that I won't lie to you. I am telling you all of these things to develop Taqwa and Yaqeen and certainty inside you that you are not on the wrong path, you are on the right path. And on this path you will see that it is the truth. That's why I give examples of me, my example, because I'm a waste, I'm useless so if I give you an example that in this country you are doing this work, people will use that reference that you've got to this situation that no other example is needed so on every square inch there is wrong and this country, this environment we are in, we've just come here to learn, how to earn money and how to worship our stomach. This environment we are in is very difficult. 24/7 there are paths and ways to earn money and halal and haraam. Here we want it free of charge, we don't want to work. We just want money upon money upon money. That's it. Volumes and a person who sits here with this niyyah and he goes to a friend of Allah that I want to do my Islaah so I can develop the understanding, so I can distinguish between halal and haraam. This is a great action indeed! Yes. So congratulations to the young people especially, the youth in this environment, in this country, mubarak to you.  Congratulations to you that you are on this path. What's the difference between now and the time you went to a Sheikh?
Yes I went to my teacher. So what was I when I went to my teacher, my haalaat, my condition was not a good one. So when I went and I didnt have a beard. I didn't have no practice, just devoid of anything. I had studied there and went there. SubhanAllah,  Allah subhaanahu wa ta'ala, when His grace comes and His blessings, then He sends a person to His Wali. So it was afternoon time in Hadhrat Sahib's Khankah. I arrived there in Gadai Shareef and he was sat there. Hadhrat sahib. And such an opportunity when you have the right niyyah, then Allah subhaanahu wa ta'ala instills His assistance and help and Allah ta'ala favours that individual at that time. So at that time when I went to meet Hadhrat sahib and it was afternoon time, there was not one person there at that time. Has it ever been that there's a Wali Allah and there's not people there sitting with him. It can never be. There's big gatherings and assemblies and Ulamaah Ikraam and Muftiyaan. There wasn't a minute where Hadhrat sahib had free that there wasn't an Aalim sat there. From far and wide there were people who would come and meet Hadhrat sahib, my Sheikh. Big gatherings. When I went there at that time, there was just my friend and I was infront of him. SubhaanAllah. Allah said it is my friend and I was there. Allah says that, my friend is there and so he was my Sheikh and I was looking at him. You see me and I see you. And I said SubhaanAllah there is nobody else there. I had heard that he was a Wali Allah, there's a Hadhrat sahib sat there and go to him and learn from him and explain your issues to him and learn purification, cleanliness. My niyyah was correct because I went for Islaah. I'm telling you this. The niyyah of an individual, the student should be correct. Doesn't matter how dirty you are. MashaAllah you are thousands of times better than me. But there was a desire, a pure need that I was fed up of my life and I wanted to change. Where should I go? I want to get improved. I couldn't see anyone who could guide me. Everything around me was drama. So I said that, this person, I've come from so far, but there's nobody sat here. And I heard that he's a Wali Allah that when you see them miraculously your life changes, and great fortunes change etc. So I went there and you have a desire like a magnet. There's a desire. A pull. And automatically the coolness comes into that person so I kept on moving closer and I sat just next to Hadhrat Sahib without any formality, just like this person sat next to me. And i said, "Assalaam-o-alaykum." And Hadhrat Sahib looked at me and at the first sight of me, he smiled and that smile, a person is dissolved. SubhaanAllah. The beauty and power of his smile and he said, "yes please tell me, what is it you need? What have you come for?" He said. I said, "Hadhrat, I have nothing I need. I have no requirement. I just came to request one thing." And then Hadhrat said, "yes please tell me." Look how Allah subhaanahu wa ta'ala helps at that time." I said that, "I want to leave the dunya and I want to find Allah." SubhaanAllah SubhaanAllah.
And with this fikr, when I said this to him and until now, this statement of Hadhrat Sahib is written in the kitaabs. Hadhrat Sahib then turned his posture and said, "for this reason you have come?" He didn't even ask me my name. I said, "yes for this reason I have come Hadhrat sahib." He said, "where have you come from?" I said, "I have come from very far away." "You have come for this purpose to me?" I said, "I have come for this reason." And he said, "sit down infront of me and when you leave, you will leave with that desire fulfilled." It was the hot climate, summer time, I'm telling you my story." SubhaanAllah. لعلكم تتقون I am telling you. That how a person becomes a Muttaqi. It was duhr time, hot climate, already at the time of Duhr, 1:30pm approximately, and in the summer time you know that the afternoons are very long and after a long time Asr comes, imagine that after a few hours Asr comes and there's, you know when it comes to the time where the sun, it begins to set slowly and that's the time for Asr and in our region, Hadhrat sahib's region is a very hot climate. So from Duhr until Asr me and Hadhrat sahib were sat down together. SubhaanAllah. And what was happening? Even I don't know what was happening. How my operation took place, the full operation during Ramadan, yes, just like Ramadan, operation. And it didn't let me move and the beautiful words of Hadhrat Sahib continue. SubhaanAllah. Words about dunya. We weren't even talking about deen at that time. When I got closer and three four hours we sat down and we realised that it was time for adhaan and the call for the adhaan came out, the muadhin gave the adhaan in the khankah. People started to come and gather together and we are sat in that same place. And i'll tell you the true story of that time. The niyyah of the human being should be correct. After that, the meeting ended. Asr finished and people departed and me and Hadhrat sahib again there, still there. And that meeting didn't stop. Nobody stopped and everyone else went. We are both there together and then after that Magrib time came, Magrib adhaan took place, then people came. After a Magribh salaah It was Muraaqabah and SubhaanAllah I was attached to Muraqabah. Because suhbat of the Sheikh and Muraqabah is taking place and also Naqshbandi sheikh, then can a person leave there without the faiz. The question doesn't arise. Impossible. Whatever niyyah you come with, then the first Muraqabah, you fulfil that desire. That's how much strength there is in the Muraqabah. The power of the Naqshbandi Sheikh's Muraqabah. But the difference. One is a useless person who goes,  one is a person who goes with a niyyah. The difference is the niyyah. Remember this. Whatever is the condition of Ramadan, the same niyyah the student should take when he meets his teacher. Bilkul 100 percent the same thing because Ramadan does Tazkiyah and the Sheikh does Tazkiyah. So when it was Muraqabah time, Muraqabah took place after Magribh, when the whole gathering took place, now the masjid was full. Then Hadhrat sahib got up with ease and he got me up and he put my hand up in the whole gathering. I didn't even have a beard at that time, it was the first day, first meeting with Hadhrat sahib, no Amaamah, but he made me a Muttaqi and with Taqwa he took me to the highest level.
And he took my hand up and he raised my arm up and I can still see that scene today and he said, "people listen, Hadhrat sahib said, "people listen. He will do dhikr, and he will teach people dhikr aswell." And he gave me Khilaafat at that time. SubhaanAllah. Thats when I got Khilaafat. Deputy. Has it ever occurred like this tell me? The people that were there, Wallahi I tell you they went into Jazb, they shook and the Khankah's whole was  "Allah, Allah, Allah," people were saying. Someone is shaking, they're coming to me, kissing my hands. And Hadhrat Sahib with ease left their Hujrah and left the khankah. Reason. This is the same as Ramadan. Enter, with the niyyah, intention and start working. Allah says, "I am your Rabb, he is a Sheikh. I am His Rabb. I am His Rabb. And you cannot leave his company empty handed so how can you leave Ramadan empty handed?" Tell me. So every single defect of yours will be extracted and it will make you a Muttaqi and leave that place, the month of Ramadan. We, we have weak belief, after the month of Ramadan we go back to the haraam, we go back towards the sins. When you go to the company of a Sheikh and your niyyah is weak and you go against and start committing evil actions and sins and vice. You have the connection but you leave the company and then you still do wrong. Commit sins. You come back with the company. It's just like what we do after Ramadan. But Allah ta'ala, once, when he makes a Muttaqi, He makes that person a Muttaqi. The Sheikh can make you the Muttaqi. He can teach you and improve you and make you the Muttaqi. Whoever grabs hold of that and controls that and perseveres until Qiyaamah, he will rise as a Muttaqi. So this is not the case that a person cannot succeed. Taqwa and Mujaahdah. Working hard and such an easy thing, solution, that when you go to your Sheikh, teacher with the right niyyah, for Islaah, improvement. You listen to him. And the first condition of the Sheikh is what? Adab. Manners. Etiquettes. The first condition is that you should have Adab, etiquettes with the teacher. His Adhmat. His greatness. His respect and obedience to him and to follow him.  When you have these 4 things inside you, then consider that your niyyah with him is correct. Then he doesn't have a need. Wherever he is, his faiz will run after that student. The faiz of that teacher will run after that student. Doesn't matter how far he has come from. Yes. The distance we have put between us and the rest is khawf, the fear as I was saying to you, that fear is such a thing. The fear has come out from us and the fear has ended. The fear has evaporated. So Ramadan does Tazkiyah to us during the month and re-installs that fear inside us. لعلكم تتقون. First sabak, lesson, Ramadan gives to us is, khawf, instil fear inside you. We don't realise and what is that? The same example I will give to you. The most sinful of sinful people, he will do all the actions, wrong actions, but he won't break the fast. Any sinful person if he keeps a fast and you say to him, "here's a hundred thousand pounds, break the fast, no one is watching you." "No I will not break the fast," he will say. Why? Because SubhaanAllah, Taqwa has come into that person. When Taqwa comes into a person then fear of Allah comes into a person that "No, Allah will be unhappy with me. I dont want to displease Allah." The fasting person will say. "This action this is haraam. There is interest here. There is Riba here. This is wrong," if he becomes a Muttaqi. If he's a Muttaqi he will say, "no, Allah will become unhappy with me I do not want to do this. I don't want to touch this."

و لمن خاف مقام ربه جنتان

That whoever is afraid and instills the fear that I have to stand infront of Allah one day. Yes what is that verse? It's come away from my mind at the moment. That whoever, whichever individual becomes like this that he is afraid due to what the Quran has told him, SubhaanAllah that I will one day stand infront of Allah,  I have to be presented to Allah and after that he suppresses his desires and he leaves worshipping his desires and he lives his life according to Allah's desire and preference, Allah says for him is Jannah beyond Jannah, paradise beyond paradise. The Quran gives him that good news. So this is the maqaam, the status a person earns. If khawf comes inside a person. We don't have khawf before Ramadan. In the first fast of Ramadan, it instilled khawf and fear inside of us. The first fast has taught us khawf. What is the khawf? Such a thing that Allah ta'ala gave to us which is out biggest weakness. Shahawaat, passions and desires. The biggest weakness is eating and drinking for us, prior to Ramadan. Always eating, drinking running after his desires. Morning till evening. What else do we do? Biggest desire of ours and Allah ta'ala grabbed us from that first desires, from here He gripped us to make us the Muttaqi. Keep him hungry. Keep him thirsty. And the things that he holds dear and beloved, his wife and children, keep them distanced from them and then I will see.   Allah ta'ala says that, does he follow his desires or due to me will he come on to the right path until the evening? One day practice on first fast. Fast number one. Allah ta'ala made us practice, we wake up in the morning, we eat and drink, suhoor time before dawn, that no power of the world will make us eat after that. Is there any power? Even if the king comes and he grabs us and imprisons us. We will say "no I am not breaking my fast. I have kept the fast." Forget about us, even the child if he fasts, he doesn't break the fast. I've seen many children, they keep the fast in the hot day climate and they're upset by the evening. The mother and father are saying, "it is not fard upon you. You don't need to." And he says, "I don't want to break the fast. I dont want to break the fast." This is the khawf. This is the fear. When a person brings this fear inside of him then Allah ta'ala announces, then such a person, he cannot be far from paradise. He cannot be. There are 2 maqaams through which a person attains this khawf. 2 places.
How do we earn the fear, the khawf? By doing Tazkiyah. Either through Ramadan you can do Tazkiyah, that's just for one month or go to a Sheikh and do Tazkiyah and that's for the rest of your life. May Allah ta'ala give us the tawfeeq to practice upon this. Ameen
