*Which is a Big Deed of Ramadhan?*

Our deen, it isn't just ibaadat or worship. Deen isn't just worship. Rather deen, in the deen of Islam, there are different parts. Different sectors, different components. If you put them all together that is the deen. So deen or religion isn't just ibaadah worship. Deen or the religion, in that you have worship acts, you have societal issues, you have individual issues, you have conduct and manners. All of these things combined together makes the deen of a person. When the deen is completed at that time, when all of these different components and parts, in all of these parts and sectors of the deen, when an individual, when he completely practices them as Shariah instructs him to do so. So just by worshipping on its own, a person doesn't become a complete Mu'min, believer. Just by worship alone. He doesn't become a person of complete Imaan. And every part of the deen is as important as the other. One is not less than the other. All the parts of religion are important. But what happens is that we get confused when we take hold of one part of the deen, give it more importance, emphasise on it more and then we consider that this person is pious. He is Deendaar. That is the downfall of a person. And today in this day and age, we think a person is very religious and pious and upright and righteous and immediately a person will see him, he prays a lot of Salaah, he comes to the masjid, he is coming and going, he is doing work of the deen and he's busy, he's occupied in Ibaadaat and worship and piety. Doing Umrah and Hajj and he is giving Zakaat and he's a pious person. He is really high level we think. This is the sort of concept in our Ma'asharah, Society, where we put the stamp of approval on that person. He is pious. But when we look on the other side of the spectrum, Akhlaaq and conduct and manners is down. Nowadays, Ma'mulaat, giving, taking, our situation is very bad. Fighting, quarrelling, fasaad, disputes, enmity, inner diaseses. These are present. So what happens then is that such a person, he represents the deen in a wrong way and then the people mock him, they think "oh he thinks he is so religious, he thinks he is praying salaah and he considers himself a person who is pious." And then people give a wrong title to the deen.  So this is something to think about a lot, that deen, Islam, then name when you combine all the sectors of life, Akhlaaq should be good, conduct and manners should be good, all of the parts of Akhlaaq. What the Shariah instructs with regards to good manners and etiquette and good character. Not just that you worship and do ibaadah and you're pious. You have achieved piety and you think you will be forgiven just with ibaadah? No. There are many parts that the doors of paradise will open due to good conduct, good akhlaq. Your individual practice. Your Ma'aasharaat. Your giving, buying, selling, taking, giving. All of these things in your life when they're are correct , then we say that this person has become the Muttaqi. لعلكم تتقون

For which the Quran has instructed that Allah ta'ala has said that I have sent Ramadan to make you a Muttaqi. So why did Ramadan come? Why has Ramadan come? Ramadan has come to realign and correct all the parts of our deen. To refresh our whole deen because it wants to make us Muttaqi. So Allah says all year long, eleven months you do Ibaadah, you worship fine but your Akhlaaq is not good, your conduct and character is not good. Your individual lifestyle is not good. So Allah ta'ala says I sent this month for this purpose. And through this month Allah ta'ala says I am doing Tazkiyah of mankind. And this is called Tazkiyah. When all your individual components are being corrected and coming to Ihtidaal, balance, then Tazkiyah is taking place. Yes. This is what is happening. And Ramadan has come for this purpose. The principles that Ramadan has brought. Thats what Allah's Nabi sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, that when Ramadan came, such a great hadith. SubhaanAllah regards to Ramadan, Mustanid Hadith, agreed hadith and it is present in all the kitaabs of the hadith from the begining. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam announced that a very Adheem and great and blessed month is about to come upon you. Adheem. So how much greatness there must be in this month that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is saying this in the beginning. Is there lacking greatness in this month? Think about it. Every human being it makes him great. This month makes every human being great. When in this month of Ramadan. When you take the connection of Ramadan. Ramadan is giving us company, suhbat. Ramadan has come to give us company. Without suhbat, company, connection, you cannot do Tazkiyah, so Allah ta'ala says I have selected this month for Tazkiyah. So the first thing for Tazkiyah. What do you need? Step number one. The Suhbat. Company. Like you have the teacher. So Allah ta'ala says, I have given you this month to give you company. Good company. Such a month all the other months are good in the year but in regards to Ramadan Allah says, No this month is full of blessings and it is Adheem so take the company of Ramadan Allah says. Connect yourself to Ramadan and then there's duas that, "Allah definetly bring me in to this month." Allah. Because it is not a common normal month. Allah this is your select special month. So you know how you take the company of someone good then you should take the company of good people isn't it. Yes. When you're seeking the company of a friend of Allah. A Wali Allah. You look for someone khaas, special. So this month is khaas, it's special. We have come into the company of this month and Allah's Nabi sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said that this month is full of barakaat and blessings and it is extremely great. There is no limit to the blessings in this month. Blessings be on blessings be on blessings. But everything you will get, there's a condition. This month that is being defined to us, you will attain those things if you go the right way about it. Yes.
So then every part of the deen this month has touched. This small hadith the Holy Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam has explained everything. He said that in this month do a lot of Ibaadah. Fine. Worship in a beautiful way, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam gave Targheeb, he gave the advice. Fard we have to do anyway. We have to observe the Fard. The question doesn't arise, that, you have to pray  salaah from before. Even when you pray the Fard, the greatness and barakah of this month is such that it will be multiplied seventy times over.
Your reward, okay thats fine. Then further what is the Targheeb that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam gave? That he is telling us about how to do the ibaadah, that in this month you have to continue to worship, not that you don't do Ibaadah, you continue to do Ibaadah. So the first explanation in this month is being told to us in the angle of Tazkiyah that the human being first looks at his Ibaadah. When you go to your Sheikh, your teacher, first he will correct your salaah. Your teacher will. Your Sheikh. He will instil the fikr for salaah in your heart. So in this month when you first bump into Ramadan in the begining, the first da'wah that has been given to you is to correct your Ibaadah, your salaah. So it is stated, because especially, Ramadan says, I have come to purify yourself so I'll give you more reward, seventy times over but then further the Targheeb has been given that if you observe nafl salaah or nafl Ibaadah, that won't be less in reward either. If you do nafl, then that will be equivalent to one fard in Ramadan. So to make us happy and to get used to it Allah says, do Ibaadah if you want to do Tazkiyah, if you want to become a Muttaqi, if you want to have fear of Allah in your hearts then Ramadan is telling us that the first step is to do Ibaadah. Pray Tahajjud, Awwaabeen, Ishraaq, after sunrise, these things you should observe and go towards nawaafil Ibaadah. Voluntary actions. Its not that you won't become a Muattaqi without Ibaadah. The first step, the first principle is that you have to take hold of worship, then beyond that
Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam gave us in the same hadith, the next subject is, that this is the month of having pain and regard for other people. Care for other people and also to observe sabr. This is the month of Ghamkaari. In this month you should have such a high level of conduct and character that you should be caring about other people in this month. Don't just learn about living yourself. Yes you do Ibaadah step number one but in Ramadan the thing that we lack in is Akhlaaq. Having regard for others, manners, etiquettes. Don't just think you have prayed salaah, you have read Quran, you have become Muttaqi. No. This is the month of care and regard for other people so this month of Ramadan teaches us this. Why? Because when we keep the fast this is the hukm. The instruction. That you have kept the fast, and you'll be a fasting person and you'll get the reward at that time when you do not oppress somebody. Isn't this the case? Don't oppress anyone else. Don't pester other people. Don't commit fraud with other people. Don't deceive other people. So this is the month of caring for others, looking after other people, giving money to other people. Someone is down, he is down-fallen, give him care and look after him and this is the month of Sabr. Sabr. Patience. What is the reward for sabr? Jannah. SubhaanAllah. So this high level of Tazkiyah, purification is when a person observes sabr. The Mashaaikh Ikraam, our pious predecessors, have said that Ramadan teaches us the high level action, sabr. Because this world that we live in, we have got challenges and tests and trials. If you can live in this world, then remember this, that in every footstep you need to have what? Sabr in this life. On every step of this journey. So Ramadan makes us practice Sabr that if you observe sabr and learn sabr, then your life will be high stage. Your level will be high stage and then all difficulties, problems, issues distresses, you'll be able to overcome them. You'll be able to bear them and you won't do the wrong thing at that time. You won't take the wrong solution, rather you will observe the solution and the light of the Shariah at that time, you will take the guidance from Shariah. So all of these things are mentioning the steps of Tazkiyah. When a person is doing Tazkiyah then four, five parts of our life, of our deen, all of those parts of our life, Tazkiyah purifies them, washes our sins, cleans us. That's why Tazkiyah is important and until we don't do our Tazkiyah, purification, if we don't follow the Tareeqa, the method, we won't get anything.
Just what will happen is, you will pray salaah maybe, maybe you will give sadaqah to somebody. If you feel like, you will give some money to somebody. If you feel like it, then maybe you will care for somebody. Maybe you will meet some relatives. Sometimes you will shun some, you will break some ties and relationships. This is not the system. That person can never be a Muttaqi. He can never be a Muttaqi. Muttaqi - Ramadan prescribes, لعلكم تتقون. If you want to be a Muattaqi at the end of Ramadan, then you need to care for others, you need to have pain and feel that pain that other people have. You need to look after other people. You need to feed people with food. And how great is the thawaab that Allah ta'ala gives for this action. So all of these things are for Tazkiyah. Now here what we learn is that Ramadan this great month, it instructs in Ramadan, it tells, it explains, it is refreshing our deen. Pressing the reset button. Through Tazkiyah all of the parts of your life, your deen when you correct them, you will become a Muattaqi and then you will have the right Imaan. And you will be such an Insaan who will then enter into paradise. SubhaanAllah. So then the beautiful thing that we learn next with regards to Tazkiyah. First you need the company of the pious person or Ramadan then you need to correct your actions after taking the good company. The next step which is laazim, essential is that without this you cannot execute Tazkiyah. Purification. Without this next thing, you cannot implement purification of your soul and your inner self. And what is that? Dhikrullah. The remembrance of Allah. SubhaanAllah so now in this same hadith we are being prescribed, these are the words that without this, there is no way out of Ramadan. Whoever in their life, if you have not adopted dhikr in your life, because when a teacher, when a student goes to a teacher, what does he learn? He learns Dhikrullah from the teacher. The student. That's when he becomes a real human being. When the student goes to the Sheikh, he asks for guidance, he starts doing Dhikr of Allah that the Sheikh tells him to do. Then all parts of the deen come into his life. Akhlaaq improves. His Ibaadaat improves. His individual life improves. He has manners with halal and haraam. He understands halal and haraam. So it is stated that without dhikr, there is no success, because dhikr is the base, it is the foundation.
To remember Allah there's a hadith regards to this that Ramadan, in this, the person who does dhikr in Ramadan he is forgiven, beyond forgiven, beyond forgiven. Because he is doing Dhikrullah in Ramadan. So first and foremost we need to be grateful of this ni'mah of Allah. How Allah is merciful to us that in Ramadan, everyday we have a majlis, a gathering of dhikr, imagine this. How supreme opportunity Allah has given to us in our lives, everyday, the most thing of Ramadan, the most important focal point of Ramadan is Dhikrullah. Without dhikr there is no way through Ramadan. Look at the hadith. So Allah's mercy and blessings and through the nisbat, the connection of a Wali Allah, we are sitting here. Through his teachings and we are doing Tazkiyah with his guidance. And for Tazkiyah what is the first step? It is suhbat, we have adopted that practice of suhbat alhamdulillah. Allah has given us the majlis, the gathering, SubhaanAllah. Otherwise how would we have attained this. We've got the majlis. We have got dhikr and consider alhamdulillah that Tazkiyah has started. Yes you have got the company of a Wali Allah, a teacher, you start doing dhikr, Ramadan is prescribing these principles. If you are successful, then all your four, five parts of your deen inshaaAllah Ramadan says I will correct for you and when you leave Ramadan at the other side, لعلكم تتقون. You will depart as a Muttaqi. That's why when a student goes to a Khankah, a teacher, he's gone with the right niyyah, for his islaah, for his rectification, because with niyyah everything is made. If your niyyah is not correct and then you go to a teacher and you think about wrong things and you talk about this and in your mind you have waswasah and negative thoughts, then you will never be successful as a student. Yes then that person is a Munaafiq. Hypocrite. The people at the time of the Holy Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam,  when they didn't take benefit, then how will a person for example, today if he doesn't have the right niyyah, take the good learnings from a teacher. When you go to a Sheikh, a teacher, first clean your niyyah. Your intention should be right. There should be no negative thoughts about the teacher or rubbish talk about the teacher or negative thoughts about the teacher or criticism or doubts. You cannot get the benefit from the teacher. First clean your thoughts and your hearts. Then go to the teacher. Ask forgiveness from the teacher. Say please teach me Tawbah and repentance. If you have one hairs width of weight, of doubt or negative thoughts against the teacher. You are going to him, you want Islaah, even one hairs width of weight in your heart or in your mind of doubt it is a waste of time, that suhbat.
Waste of time. He is a Munaafiq. He is a hypocrite. Nifaaq is in the heart. And a person who is a hypocrite can never attain Allah's nearness.  So first and foremost, when you go to the teacher the Wali Allah, just like you come to Ramadan. You should wash your nyiyyah and clean it. You come into Ramadan, oh Ramadan, I want your barakaat and your fuyooz. So, clearly is it being taught to us that when you go to a teacher for Tazkiyah, first principle is that your niyyah should be correct and clean. Your intention should be clean. The teacher I am going to, I am going to learn, seeking the guidance. The pious predecessors say that your Sheikh, you should consider your teacher the greatest personality in your life. Most respectful. Most honourable. The greatest Aalim. The Greatest Sufi. If in comparison to your teacher, even if there's a big sheikh or anyone comes in front of you, you say that's fine no problem.
You won't even feel like, you will say that "My Sheikh is enough for me. I don't need any other guidance." Who is telling us this standard? Hadhrat Mujaddid Alif Thanwi Rahmatullahi Alayh. In his Maktubaat, whose mureeds you are MashaaAllah. You are his students. He taught us this principle and Ramadan teaches us this.
So this is how you do Tazkiyah. Tazkiyah first cleans your niyyah and your niyyah, your intention should be clean. When you go to your teacher, to a Sheikh to learn, you should have so much Adhmat for him in your hearts.
SubhaanAllah. When others say, "no no this person has come, this Bigshot has come." And you say "no no my sheikh is enough for me. I dont need anybody else."

I remember myself I was a minor at that time, when I used to go to Hadrat Sahib my sheikh, there would be a Ijtima, Hadhrat Fazal Ali Quraishi Rahmatullahi Alayh's Ijtima. Yearly. Annual Ijtima in Miskinpur. And he was the Sheikh of my teacher. Our grandfather Sheikh and the whole dunya used to go to Miskinpur to the Ijtima and I used to go to meet my Sheikh and at that time when the Ijtima of his Sheikh used to take place, many people used to go and travel there. But Allah ta'ala's karam. Because Allah ta'ala. May He clean everyone's niyyah.
My heart didn't feel that I leave there to go. Everyone is going. "Let's go to Miskinpur."
The Khankah of Hadhrat Fazl Ali Quraishi Rahmatullahi Alayh which is the place where the teacher of my teacher went and people would say, "Farooqui sahib, you should also come with us, why don't you come with us?" Lots of people would come there. Big personalities.  Lots of mureeds of Hadhrat Sahib. Khalifah's would go and I'd say "I don't feel like I'll leave Hadhrat Sahib's company, I've come to meet my teacher,  why should I go? I don't feel like it. I'm not gustaakh. I'm not doing Be-adabi. But my heart doesn't feel like I want to go there because here I get more peace and comfort here in the footsteps of my Sheikh SubhaanAllah." And so some people used to pester me and then Hadhrat Sahih said, "don't pester the faqeer, don't force him to go. He doesn't want to go." And Hadhrat Sahib put them off. And my Sheikh didn't tell me. My Sheikh didn't instruct me. He said "fine you stay here, no problem." So the reason was that my heart didn't feel like going anywhere else. Why? Because I said that whatever there is I am getting from here, the comfort, the peace, why do I need to go anywhere else? So Hadhrat Fazl Ali Quraishi Rahmatullahi Alayh for me is here, Hadhrat Mujaddid Alif Thanwi Rahmatullahi Alayh is here, everything I will get from the footsteps of my sheikh in reality. Even if Mujaddid Alif Thanwi Rahmatullahi Alayh was to come, I would not leave my teacher for his company because from his company, I learnt everything. So I said, "this is the aqeedah that we need to have. It is not acting or fraud or deceit or a drama. Don't make it up. It should be your nature, your Muhabbat, your love naturally for your teacher there should be a pull. A pull. "Oh there are other people coming, big personalities, speakers, lecturers, I never stopped anyone, "why are you going there?" Many opportunities came, many pious people used to come, big personalities and were recognised and Jameel Sahib and many other people. People used to run away and go there but I said, "no no what kind of people are these?" And I was surprised at that time in dismay that am I wrong or are these people doing wrong?" You're sat in front of your Sheikh and you are running to other people? The time for ziyaarah and to listen to them. Is there any greater ziyaarah than your Sheikh himself? Your teacher.
SubhaanAllah so this is the Aqeedah that we should have with our teacher and then your Tazkiyah will take place. So this is the hukm. The instruction. The most important thing for Tazkiyah and Ramadan in this hadith we learn this principle, without this there will be no Tazkiyah. Even you won't attain Tazkiyah purification in Ramadan. It is laazim because
Ramadan has come as a Sheikh like a teacher. It is cleaning us, making us Muttaqi's,  pious people. Yes so what is that thing? Dhikrullah. The remembrance of Allah. Ramadan is inviting, come and take my company and you don't do dhikrullah!? You don't do dhikr of Allah? You don't remember Allah? Then what will you get in this month Ramadan asks us. So Allah's Nabi sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, what a beautiful hadith he explained to us, prescribed to us, about dhikr in Ramadan. He told his noble companions that, "shall I not tell you such an action that from all your deeds is the best of deeds?" The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam and the Sahabah Ikraam, imagine their A'amaal, tell me their A'amaal, their deeds. Imagine their worship, their aadaat, their nawaafil, Quran, Tilawat, everything they did but the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said to his noble companions, "shall I not tell you an action which will be the best of all your deeds?" Then he said number two, "shall I not tell you such an action." SubhaanAllah. Allahu Akbar. That close to your Lord it is so pure, in other words, Allah considers this action to be the purest of actions, because it purifies the human being. SubhaanAllah. In other words, the person who does this action, that person Allah ta'ala says, I draw him near to me, that individual and he gets close to me. Near to me. Then the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, "shall I not tell you such an action that will elevate your status to the highest rank?" And the Sahabah were listening and they were amazed. What a hadith! So what shall I tell you an action oh my Sahabah that you are giving Sadaqah, spending gold and silver in the path of Allah, but this Amal will be greater than spending gold and silver in the path of Allah. Shall I tell you such an action my companions that people are fighting and going on expeditions, clashes, but this person who does this action, his Amal is greater than them. SubhaanAllah imagine. They said, "بلی Ya Rasulullah, please please tell us oh Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, if we don't learn this then we have lost everything, we have lost everything. What is this Amal? Tell us."

Today why don't we in this day and age understand this Amal? The Sahabah Ikraam are desperate to learn this Amal but we read this Amal in Fadhaail-e-A'amaal but we don't see these Ahãdith. We see this hadith ten thousand times, we will read over this hadith but we don't practice on this. This is the biggest deceit. We read the Quran, we read the verses of dhikrullah thousand times, we don't practice dhikr in our lives.

وَٱذْكُرُواْ ٱللَّهَ كَثِيرًا لَّعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ

Thousands of times we have read this verse but we don't dare to do it. But Allah's karam. SubhaanAllah. When you go into the company of a Sheikh, first thing the Sheikh teaches you is Dhikrullah. Has this not happened? Whenever you go to a Sheikh, a teacher, then the highest Amal that he will prescribe to you just like Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam prescribed to his companions, dhikrullah. That it comes dhikr, it purifies you, it cleans you, elevates your status, purest in the eyes of your Lord. And such a high rank you will get that SubhaanAllah every other deed you do in your life, for example you go on expeditions, you have to give your life, it's a big deed. You get darajaat but you have to get up in the morning, pray Tahajjud, you have to struggle, make effort, do wudu in the morning, it is difficult isn't it? To do ibaadaat. Yes with pain and difficulty. You give up fast. Look. You have to leave food and drink all day long. You have to struggle and make effort and then you go and get Jannah. But here with Dhikrullah, Hadhrat Abu Saeed Al Khudri Radiyallahu Anhu, there is a hadith that I remember in my mind, what did he say? He said that, "I heard myself that Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, "

23:05

This is the words of the Hadith. SubhaanAllah

--..??

SubhaanAllah.  Hadhrat Abu Saeed Al Khudri Radiyallahu Anhu said, I heard myself that the Holy Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, "there will be such people, some people they will do such a great action that they won't even need to make effort in that action. They won't even need to strive or break a sweat. They're sat without wudu on their mattress in their beds and its a warm bed, they got a hot water bottle next to them. And with ease and comfort they are laying down reclining on their couches,  and even there if they do this Amal, the darajah, the rank, the reward of that Amal is that Allah will enter them into the highest grade of Paradise SubhaanAllah. They won't need to make an effort. This is the dhikr what you do with the barakah of my teacher. His teachings.
So should we not do this dhikr? And we are doing it in Ramadan. So in this Ramadan if you attain the company of a sheikh and you learn dhikrullah, you become the Muttaqi. Alhamdulillah alhamdulillah. So in our lives, don't just do two, three things my friend. How can we get Jannah just by doing a few things? How will we give the hisaab in the Qabr, how will we give the answer on the day of judgement, on the day of reckoning. Such a great Amal. The dhikrullah is being prescribed to us, taught to us. A person, doesn't matter how much hard he has to work to earn Dhikrullah it is not enough. The rank, the darajah of Dhikrullah, even if you lie down on your bed, on the mattress with ease and do dhikrullah, Allah says that I love that action so much that the highest rank of Jannah you will attain. Highest rank of jannah. So unfortunately that person must be, "I don't feel like doing dhikr, I'm lazy, I'll try one day to do it."
Even when we get the company of the Sheikh, and even then mashaaAllah we go to the majaalis of dhikrullah are taking place. The biggest regret for the believer in the Hereafter is that person who shaytan and nafs overtook him in the world and took him away from the gathering of dhikr. Men and women are the same. Womenfolk are the same. This is the Majlis for the womenfolk aswell. That MashaaAllah today we are so fortunate that today every sister, every women can have the suhbat of the teacher online. They can connect.
All the sisters who are listening online, they are also in the company of the teacher. And they also get the same Maqaamaat. Same maqaamaat alhamdulillah. Barakah. Blessings. That as soon as shaytan, fitna and fasaad and the days of modernism increases, then Allah ta'ala also prepares the tools and resources to spread his deen. The online cam, I am sat here. There is a mic here, there is internet here. And womenfolk, sisters in South Africa are listening in this moment of time. Yes womenfolk. Their messages come. They're working hard. They are making effort. They submit their sheets. Their Tazkiyah.
Their analysis from South Africa. Soon as this Majlis will finish, their text come mashaaAllah. Their messages come that "today's bayaan was great and we benefitted." Womenfolk, sisters.
They are also in the company of their teacher. We think men are sat infront of the teacher and we're sat like animals. We dont even teach clean hearts and many people who are listening, they don't even have yaqeen in the words of the Sheikh. They don't do Amal on the words of the Sheikh. How sad. Can any man like this get anything in the Hereafter? Tell me.
So my brothers, Allah has given us Ramadan, this is not for talking and speeches. Rather, Ramadan has come with a great message, if you want to die as a Muttaqi, if you want to die as a person who has fear of Allah, Ramadan will last for thirty days and then disappear so its laazim that in Ramadan you learn this if you want to become a Muttaqi. That Ramadan says the path that I want prescribing to your practice on this, number one. That bayaan. The summary of today's discussion is that all the parts of our life, all the deen, the religion, that you should totally practice every part of the deen. Your akhlaaq should be good, your Ikhlaas should be correct, your Ma'mulaat should be good, your individual lifestyle should be good, your Ibaadah should be good, your worship should be good. Not just worship nafl nafl, people say he's righteous. He is pious. Piety. What is his akhlaaq like? What is his conduct like? What is his conduct with people like? He is giving and taking. Does he take a loan? Does he repay the loan? Does he break the hearts of people? What is his earnings like? Is it halal or haraam? Yes. How does he bear the difficulties of life? Haraam and halaal. Unlawful and lawful. What is the difference? Does he differentiate the haraam, haraam? Umrah, Hajj on haraam and he is pious and he is showing people that he is pious and people are putting flowers of roses on his neck and giving him food and he's done Hajj and he's done Umrah. When people come back, they congratulate him, but has he got halal earnings? Has he got halal upkeep? Ya'nee. Deen. We have made deen a restricted part of life. We just put it in our pocket and we live in the way we want. Whenever you are about to do a good deed like Umrah, think first, I am going to such a holy place, what is inside me? What is inside me, that the money I am purchasing the flight tickets with, is it halal?
How will I show my face to Allah and when I go there with the Haraam earnings.
First and foremost, earn halaal. Whenever you do any good action, pious action, ask yourself, that it is laazim essential first to do Tazkiyah and analyse yourself before you do the action. Make yourself capable that I can reach that Maqaam. Yes. Go to a Sheikh, a teacher, take his company. And correct yourself, clean yourself so that all the parts of your life your akhlaaq is important, that you shouldn't lie from your mouth, you shouldn't backbite, you should wash yourself inside. All day long you think of rubbish and then you say to people that you are pious because you pray Salaah. Fine salaah is correct. You have to pray salaah but what about all the other parts of life? What about all the other parts of life? So all your Ma'mulat, the components,
That live your life, repent, do taubah. It is laazim dhikrullah. Remembrance of Allah. Without Dhikrullah, there is no success for a person. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam told us for Tazkiyah, purification, the most important component is Dhikrullah.
May Allah grant us all the tawfeeq, the ability, that with the Barakah of this Ramadan, Ramadan will disappear. That for the rest of our lives it has given us the message Ramadan says that after three four weeks, I will disappear. Then are you going to become monkeys and apes the same like you were before? No Ramadan is giving a message that until you don't correct yourself, you cannot be correct until you don't become a Muattaqi until you don't do Tazkiyah, purification. The hands of a Sheikh. Go. Seek a Wali Allah. Whether it is here, in another country or in Pakistan or India. Wherever your heart feels that he is pious and he will correct me and guide me. Depends where you find him. It's not necessary that someone will find him in Saudi Arabia or Pakistan or India, wherever you find him, that's fine. As long as that teacher is making you do Mujaahadah and sometimes he is strict, sometimes he is soft. Maybe. But wherever you find him, appreciate him, value him. The sad thing is when we don't value him. So for example my Sheikh, where did I find my Sheikh, very far away, thousands of miles I had to travel to meet my teacher. Where?  No to my town, I didn't even find him even in my own town, I had to go to a village in the remote area in the heat Allah said, "go there and do your Tazkiyah." That's where I found my teacher. Thousands of miles away. I had to make effort and do Tazkiyah there. So brothers, finding the right company, this is your destiny. You have to go there. And I was happy to travel there on that Mujaahadah. I saw the lease of life I was getting. The fresh life. And I didn't step back. I said I have to do my Tazkiyah Oh teacher, that I need to purify myself and clean myself.  I used to go there and kept on going there. At least what happened was, SubhaanAllah, at least I had a recognition of my sins. I didn't become a good man. But at least I recognised right and wrong in his suhbat. Even today I remember the dua's that Hadhrat Sahib would give, my teacher would give at that time. So how can you get these things? So immediately seek a wali Allah that this is the message of Ramadan that I'm telling you if you really want to become a Muattaqi and depart this life as a Muttaqi, don't just be satisfied on salaah. Come towards the whole of Islam so your whole lifestyle is corrected. May Allah ta'ala give us all the tawfeeq to practice from this. Ameen
