Al-Bukhari reported: Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him, said, “When a person is born, Satan remains hidden from him. If one remembers Allah Almighty, he will leave. If one does not remember Allah, he will remain fixed over his heart.” Source: Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 6/181
Qatadah ibn al-Nu’man reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “When Allah loves a servant, he protects them from the world, just as one of you keeps the sick from drinking too much water.” Source: Sunan al-Tirmidhī 2036
Ibn Abbas reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “There is no believing servant but that he has a sin he habitually commits from time to time, or a sin abiding over him that he does not abandon until he departs the world. Verily, the believer was created to be tested, repenting and forgetful. If he is reminded, he will remember.”
